Chernobylite will enter Early Access on PC next month; new trailer out

In October, you may head off to the 3D-scanned version of the Exclusion Zone in Chernobylite, where you’ll have to fight to survive.

Do you miss STALKER? Sure you do. And while there’s always Metro to scratch that itch of gasmasks and East European accents, what we need is a real and proper survival horror game to fill those irradiated boots. Chernobylite will have a go at it when it enters Early Access on Steam next month.

According to developer The Farm 51, Chernobylite will be playable on 16th October, exclusively on PC.

To celebrate the announcement, the devs have shown off the Early Access build of the game in a new trailer:

The Farm 51 estimates that the game will stay in Early Access for some 10-14 months. It’s a lot of time, but you have to bear in mind that this is an ambitious title.

During Early Access, the game will be available at a lower price than when it fully releases. Here’s what you can expect if you dive into the game right next month:

We’ve already created several locations of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, filled with the real scans of the Zone’s objects, gameplay events and mechanics, story characters and quests for the player.

And here’s what to expect from the game when it is eventually finished:

The full version of Chernobylite will have implemented much more playable areas of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for your free exploration, as well as more story events, characters, weapons and gameplay mechanics.
