Clem

Platforms: PC, Switch

The darkly-tinged adventure CLeM puts you in a seemingly empty mansion, where you are a toy given life and purpose by a mysterious voice. You’ll have to carry out tasks, solve puzzles, and consult a strange notebook to unravel the mystery behind the mansion.

Botany Manor

Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch

Set in 1890 England, Botany Manor has you playing as a retired botanist who’s compiling a herbarium from her research at the titular manor. You’re not dealing with any ordinary plants though, as the flora you are to research require special conditions to bloom, for which you’ll have to explore the manor’s estate and solve puzzles aplenty.

Indika

Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S

The very surreal alternate-history adventure Indika takes you to a steampunk version of Tsarist Russia and has you playing as a nun tormented by the voice of the devil himself. Tasked with delivering a letter, Indika instead falls head-first into an adventure that involves a fugitive, a fish factory, a steam-powered bike, and other oddities.

Between Horizons

Platforms: PC (Coming soon to consoles)

Between Horizons is a sci-fi detective adventure set on a spaceship on its way to another star. Combining investigation gameplay with metroidvania-style environmental exploration, Between Horizon is a though-provoking tale where your decisions – right ones or otherwise – will have consequences for the generation ship you’re on.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

Platforms: PC, Switch

The enigmatic Lorelei and the Laser Eyes may call to mind the Resident Evil games, but its lack of action and abundance of puzzle-solving puts it squarely in the adventure game camp. Mysteries abound in the Hotel Letztes Jahr, which the protagonist must explore to uncover surreal secrets.

Lil’ Guardsman

The quirky Lil’ Guardsman has you manning the border guardsman post in a fantasy kingdom… as a 12-year-old. It’ll be up to you to decide the fate of dozens of characters of various species and intentions. How you judge them will have consequences on the kingdom, which you’ll see first-hand as you explore.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley

Platforms: PC, Switch

Moominvalley’s wilderness is in danger in Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, where you play as Snufkin from the famous Moomins series of books by Tove Jansson. Using his musical talents and instruments, Snufkin must foil the plans of the Park Keeper, who seeks to transform the idyllic Moominvalley into a series of parks.

Harold Halibut

Harold Halibut‘s underwater adventure set on a submerged spaceship is entirely handmade, fully voice-acted, and hiding mysteries aplenty. As down-on-his-luck lab assistant Harold, you’ll find yourself thrust into an adventure revolving around the possibility of the Fedora I spaceship finally making it out of the alien ocean it’s trapped in.

Duck Detective: The Secret Salami

Duck Detective: The Secret Salami puts you in charge of a very meaty mystery set in a call center. As your titular detective delves into what seems to be a straightforward lunch theft case, you will soon uncover a web of lies and conspiracies, underpinned by twists and turns in the narrative.

Home Safety Hotline makes you a telephone operator fielding calls from customers dealing with all manner of pests, both the mundane and the outright supernatural. You’ll have to go through a vast, retro-style catalog and deal with customer issues (or let them suffer with whatever horrible situation they’re in).
