Sometimes, you may not even know where the enemy is shooting from. This can be frustrating, but it is also what makes the game feel different from more traditional shooters.

Also, this is a game you cannot really play alone. You will have to be with a squad most of the time or you are most likely to get killed. So, if you cannot play as part of a squad, then again, this game is not for you.

Regarding the performance issues, if they bother you too much, then you should wait and see how the developers improve the game.

The last thing to keep in mind is that communication is a big part of this game. So, if you cannot communicate with your teammates, you will not be able to enjoy the experience as much, and you will not be able to contribute as much to your team.

Buy It If You Want Immersive Large-Scale Warfare

This is an absolute must if you like large-scale battles. The 50 versus 50 format is actually pretty interesting, as individual kills do not hold a lot of value here. Instead, teamwork and coordinated squads are much more important and are appreciated.

The game also puts a lot of emphasis on the roles players take within their squads. You are not simply expected to run around and get as many kills as possible. Supporting your teammates, following objectives, communicating with your squad, and working together can be much more important than having a high kill count.

If you also like a game where visibility is low and you have to try hard to even spot an enemy, this game is for you. The game tries to make the experience as realistic as possible. So, while that can be frustrating for some players, it can be a better experience for others.

Another thing I noticed was that the weapons and combat feel authentic. This is intended because of the game’s focus on making the experience as close to reality as possible. So, if you love Hell Let Loose in general, like the idea of Squad and realistic tactical shooters, along with slow, immersive warfare, this game is a must for you.

The Vietnam setting also gives the game its own identity. The dense jungle environment, limited visibility, and different approaches to combat help separate it from other large-scale tactical shooters.

That said, waiting a bit until the issues are resolved is going to be better.

There Is Also a Crossplay Controversy

There is one other thing PC players should keep in mind before buying Hell Let Loose Vietnam. The game features crossplay, meaning that PC players can encounter console players in multiplayer.

This has caused some controversy because console players have access to aim assist. The aim assist has been a particularly sensitive topic because the jungle environment often makes enemies difficult to spot. If aim assist is able to assist players when aiming at enemies who are difficult to see through vegetation, some PC players feel that console players can have an advantage.

If you are a fan of Hell Let Loose, Squad, realistic tactical shooters, and slow-paced large-scale warfare, then it is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

I would not say that Hell Let Loose Vietnam is a bad game and not worth buying. I would say that it is a potentially very good game that was released in a rough state. Give the developers some time to fix the problems, and the game could be a much easier recommendation.
