Among the Sleep to mark fifth anniversary with Switch release and more
Krillbite Studio’s toddler horror Among the Sleep is coming to the Switch in May this year. It’s also getting a physical release on PS4 and Xbox One.
Back when it released, Among the Sleep presented survival horror from a rather unique perspective: a toddler looking for his mother. It’s been almost five years now, and the game is celebrating its fifth anniversary with some big announcements.
On 29th May, Among the Sleep – Enhanced Edition will release both digitally and physically on the Switch. The Enhanced Edition will also release physically on the PS4 and Xbox One, on the exact same day (it is already available digitally).
Here’s what to expect from the Enhanced Edition of the game:
The Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition contains the completely new Museum Level, with behind the scenes content and extra footage. It also includes a digital artbook and a digital soundtrack. Moreover, players now get to choose which pajamas their character wears in the game. Finally, a new dialogue has been added and a plethora of improvements were made in terms of visuals, performance and gameplay.
And here’s a new trailer for the game, straight from Nintendo:
Among the Sleep originally released in 2014 for PC, Mac, and Linux. It was ported to PS4 in 2015, and to Xbox One in 2016. The Enhanced Edition of the game was released in 2017 on PC, Mac, and Linux.
The game was developed by the Norway-based Krillbite Studio. Among the Sleep was the studio’s debut commercial effort. Krillbite Studio is currently hard at work on its next game, Mosaic.

For a completely different blend of horror, have a look at the upcoming Yuppie Psycho. If you’d like to take a break from the scares, consider fighting in rhythm to the tunes of Zelda in Cadence of Hyrule.
