The Final Station gets ‘The Only Traitor’ road trip DLC this Wednesday

The first DLC for The Final Station will drop the train and send you on a road trip through a zombie wasteland, all in a sleek black ride.

The Final Station is getting its first DLC, ‘The Only Traitor’, in only two days, according to publisher tinyBuild. In it, you play as a rough-looking dude with a sleek-looking car, both of which wear matching black-and-yellow colours. As with the core game, you must scavenge for supplies and try to make it across a post-apocalyptic world full of zombies: but this time, you’ve got a car, instead of a full-blown locomotive.

The DLC’s story appears to take place alongside the events of the main game, and will also feature some areas from the base game. It seems you’ll also learn the answers to unresolved questions from the base game, and learn more about the characters you met in it. There will also be many new areas and enemies, and you will now have the ability to choose your companion.

Each companion will have different stats and traits, as well as their own personal story. What makes things tricky is that since you have a car and not a train, you can only have one companion with you at a time. Choosing who will travel with you might prove to be a hard decision to make.

tinyBuild has revealed a new trailer for The Only Traitor that does what all trailers should do: show no-frills gameplay. Have a look below.

The Only Traitor will be available on April 19th for PC, Mac and Linux. No console versions of the DLC have been announced, although the base game is also available on PS4 and Xbox One. The trailer only had a Steam icon, so it’s unclear if the DLC will also be available on the DRM-free GOG.com release of the game.
