Hell Let Loose: Vietnam was just recently released after a lot of anticipation and hype, with many fans excited to finally get their hands on the game. While the all-time peak player count of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has been solid, the reviews on Steam paint a different picture.
The game released to over 30K concurrent players, which is expected to grow even more during the weekend. However, the reviews have been mixed, with less than 60% of them being positive.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Launch On Steam Was Far From Smooth
As the game launched, the reviews were mostly negative. There weren’t that many reviews initially, but among the first 800, the majority were negative, and that was a major concern.
A game launching with this many negative reviews is always a sign of concern, but as more players played the game, several issues became apparent. The game was crashing randomly, and there was a particular launch issue affecting AMD graphics cards.
Other than that, there were server problems too. So, the developer has acknowledged all problems and is currently working on resolving them.
Our development team is already hard at work on the first patch for the game, which will address a broader range of fixes and improvements, but we’ve also identified several issues we want to address sooner.

Hotfix 1 is targeted to release by the end of this weekend. So, it could be released any time tomorrow. It aims to improve AMD GPU stability, add additional servers with server booster updates, and address a PS5 audio issue.
The developers are also working on other issues, and they are currently under investigation.
So, the game is expected to get much better with these updates. Right now, the rating on Steam is sitting at Mixed, which is already an improvement from how it was previously, when the game was rated Mostly Negative.
Steam Rating Shows Signs of Improvement
So far, the rating of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam on Steam has improved. However, with the update on the way, it can improve even further.
That said, the players who have left negative reviews should not simply be ignored. That is because most of their concerns are valid and need to be addressed. The launch issues have clearly affected the initial reception, and the developers will need to resolve these problems if they want the game to recover from its rough start.
After waiting for this game with genuine excitement, I honestly cannot believe this is being sold as a finished product. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam feels like an unfinished early-access build with a Vietnam skin slapped on top of it.
