Hello Neighbor sneaks onto PS4, Switch, iOS and Android this July

Now you can take your neighbour-snooping on the go, as Hello Neighbor is set to release on a whole bunch of platforms in a couple months.

What is your shady neighbour up to? If the question eluded you, you probably just aren’t curious enough. That, or you probably don’t want to risk getting the police involved. Or worse. Hello Neighbor is a great way to prepare for your real-life adventures, and it released in December last year on PC and Xbox One.

Now, it’s coming to PS4, Switch, iOS and Android. The release date for these platforms has been set to 27th July. The Xbox One version is also scheduled to get a patch around the same time.

Here’s what the game’s about:

Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor’s house to figure out what horrible secrets he’s hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There’ll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

A word of warning, however: the game wasn’t exactly what I’d call well-received by critics. It has a score of 40 on OpenCritic and 38 on MetaCritic (out of 100). The Steam Reviews show a ‘Mixed’ status, with nearly a thousand reviews accounted for. Still, for its worth, an aggregate of the most recent 58 reviews on Steam comes out to ‘Mostly Positive’.
