Indie Game Releases of the Week: 11th to 17th November 2019

This week in indie games, we have adventure games Fractured Minds, Woven, and Some Distant Memory. Also keep an eye out for Yaga, and more.

This week’s indie games aren’t too flashy, but don’t write them off, either. From a one-eyed blacksmith to a sunken Houston to an abandoned stuffed animal—there’s a lot of exciting experiences in store.

Yaga (12th November on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch)

Yaga is a quirky action RPG starring a one-handed blacksmith who’s stuck between the demands of a Tzar, a mysterious witch, and his own grandma. It’s inspired by Slavic folklore, and its world will react to how you play your character.

Some Distant Memory (14th November on PC, Mac, Switch)

Some Distant Memory is a post-apocalyptic adventure game in which you search for the sunken city of Houston, 300 years after everything was lost. You play as the Professor, who uses an AI to rebuild memories from artefacts.

Fractured Minds (14th November on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One)

Fractured Minds is a puzzle game created by a 17-year-old in an attempt to spread awareness of mental illness. The game features six chapters despite its short playtime, and you will get to have a peek at what everyday situations look like when you have to deal with mental illness.

Sparklite (14th November on PC, Xbox One, Switch)

Sparklite is an action-adventure with a fantasy story set on a floating world held together by an ore called Sparklite. Your role as the hero Ada is to stop an evil Baron from taking all the Sparklite to power his war machines, and to do so, you’re going to have to gear up and strike out.

Woven (15th November on PS4, Xbox One, Switch)

Woven is an indie adventure set in a world full of stuffed animals. You control one such stuffed animal, Stuffy, who journeys an empty world to figure out why he was left behind.
