Indie Game Releases of the Week: 2nd to 8th November 2020

This week in indie games, we have the platformer YesterMorrow, strategy game Möbius Front ’83, space building game Kosmokrats, and more.

It’s the dawn of the second-to-last month of a year that could’ve gone way better, but that also makes it the dawn of the week that comes right before the week that we see two brand new video game consoles. Right. And if you want something to get your mind off of the excitement of playing on those behemoths, you should check out the new indie games that are coming out over the week.

YesterMorrow

YesterMorrow is a platformer with action and puzzles, and a story revolving around time-travel. In a world that’s been plunged into an eternal night, you play as Yui, a young hero who must rescue her family by going back in time.

Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story

Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story is an adventure game inspired by the classic H.G. Wells novel. Set in the English countryside, the game has you playing as Harper as she escapes and sneaks her way out of an alien invasion of Earth.

Chicken Police

Chicken Police is a noir adventure game set in a world of animals, but where the dealings are as gritty as reality. Apart from a stylish, film-noir-inspired story, the game also features an interrogation system and mystery-solving gameplay.

Möbius Front ’83

5th November on PC, Mac, Linux

Möbius Front ’83 is a tactical game from Zachtronics, creator of such cerebral classics as SpaceChem, TIS-100, Exapunks, and Shenzhen I/O. This time around, you use 1980s military hardware to wage war against the alternate-reality “Americans” that are attacking America.

Kosmokrats

5th November on PC

Kosmokrats is a building game set in space and with a distinct Soviet theme, where you are tasked with building a People’s Utopia. Using a humble-looking drone, you’ll assemble spaceships, probably kill lots of cosmonauts on accident, and establish a utopia according to your whims.
