Indie Game Releases of the Week: November 22 to 28, 2021

This week in indie games, we have the wacky sandbox game DEEEER Simulator, roguelike deckbuilder Crash the Core, and more.

We’re featuring four indie games this week, from the action rogue-lite Tunnel of Doom, to the romantic bowling of Date Night Bowling.

It’s a particularly light week for indies, so if, by some accursed chance, none of the games below appeal to you, then there’s always your backlog to catch up on.

Tunnel of Doom

November 23 on PC

Tunnel of Doom is an rogue-lite action game that has you fighting in melee and ranged combat, but also gathering resources to build your own weapons and set tower defense-style traps.

The game’s 1903-set plot has you playing as a woman named Angel, who’s investigating a shut-down mine for signs of her missing husband.

DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game

November 25 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch

DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game is a surreal sandbox game in which you play as a deer (yes). You can frolic amongst other animals, or cause wanton destruction to the town and escape the cops that come after you.

Crash The Core

November 26 on PC

Crash the Core is a roguelike deckbuilding strategy game in which you control a spy agency that’s looking to sus out a conspiracy to take over the galaxy. There’s a variety of card types that interplay, and you’ll have to use them to build renown and develop your agency. You can also play the game in local co-op, if you wish.

Date Night Bowling

November 26 on PC, Switch

Date Night Bowling is an arcade bowling game that’s also about romance, as you’ll find yourself at a dating event at two neon-lit bowling alleys. Apart from hitting those pins, you’ll also be trying to win over some hearts with back rubs, popcorn, and jokes. Apart from playing solo, you can also square off against AI partners, or your friends.
