Industria 2 Launched To Mixed Reviews On Steam

Industria 2

Industria 2, a highly anticipated sequel to the Industria game, was just recently released. While the fandom of this series is not that huge, the speculation was very high among those who know about it. The game has only just launched, but the reception for it is not looking very positive so far.

As of the time of writing, Industria 2 is sitting on mixed reviews on Steam. The game has also received a pretty hefty patch recently. However, it seems that it is still very glitchy even after that update. Because of this, fans have been quite harsh with their reviews. It also only launched with 255 concurrent players on Steam. That said, this number is expected to increase over the weekend as more people try it out.

An Unoptimized Mess

As someone who has played this game on launch, I can say that this is an unoptimized mess and it clearly needs a lot of refinement and polishing. There are a lot of glitches, and the game feels clunky at many times during gameplay. Some of these glitches are even game breaking, and I personally faced multiple crashes while playing.

So right now, the game is not in very good condition, and many other fans agree with this overall sentiment. Many players have noted that there are some very obvious issues with the game. They are even speculating that the developer was forced to release it earlier than intended. Fans were quick to notice that there are quite a lot of problems with the visuals, audio design, and other aspects of the game that should have been improved before launch.

Extremely undercooked. Placeholder assets, holes in the geometry, audio and performance issues, obvious signs of scope creep. This is an alpha, not a finished game. The first hour is ‘finished.’ Everything after that rapidly falls apart into an underdeveloped mess, culminating with multiple softlocks and a puzzle that broke so badly that my save is, as far as I can tell, permanently bricked.

Others are saying that this game feels rushed, which seems pretty accurate. That is because, there are several game breaking glitches present. Some share the sentiment that the game feels like it is still in an alpha state. However, it was fully released anyway, which adds even more to the disappointment among players and fans.

I never leave reviews on games but Industria 2 is so disappointingly bad that I must warn others to steer clear of it. Saying this game feels rushed and unfinished is an understatement.

Over 50 Percent Of The Reviews Are Negative

When the reviews are more negative than positive, then you really cannot blame the players for such a reception. This usually means that something is fundamentally wrong with the game itself. Industria 2 does seem like a solid project at its core, but there are simply too many issues with it right now for most people to recommend it.

Fans are even claiming that if the game gets properly polished and includes a good amount of additional content, then it would definitely be worth a purchase in the future. However, for that to happen, even if the developers are willing to fix everything, it may take quite a lot of time before the game reaches that improved state.
