LudoNarraCon is returning in April 2020 to highlight narrative indie games

Love indie games with innovative narratives? There’s a convention for that. You won’t even have to leave your seat to visit LudoNarraCon.

Indie publishing label Fellow Traveller is organising a great big convention exclusively for narrative indie games, and it’s called LudoNarraCon. The interesting twist? You don’t need to book any flight tickets for this one, it’s going to be entirely digital and on Steam.

The first LudoNarraCon was held this very year, in May. According to Fellow Traveller, the event saw a gargantuan audience of 850,000 folks. Participating games saw a huge boost to wishlist additions on Steam, and the event was overall enough of a success that a second round is being worked on.

Have a look at the keynote video that launched this year’s LudoNarraCon:

As the con is held online via Steam, there are no booth production costs involved. You don’t need to pay to visit, or fly to a convention centre, or pay for a hotel, or deal with the local wildlife. Just head on to Steam when the con starts, and you’ll find discounts on narrative games, developers playing their games on stream, exclusive demos available only during the con, developer panels via video chat, and more rambunctious fun.

If you’re a developer, you can submit your game to the con before 13th December 2019, and you’ll hear back before the end of that month. If you’d like to speak at the convention, you can submit your pitch before 29th January 2020, and you’ll hear back in February. While there’s no official date set for LudoNarraCon just yet, it’s planned for April 2020.
