Pig Eat Ball is a busy, brutal, colourful and barf-happy take on Pac-Man

Pig Eat Ball is all about chomping on glowing balls, like in Pac-Man. The twist: you need to get slimmer to pass certain areas. That’s where it gets weird.

And by weird, I mean that barfing gets involved. A lot of barfing. And then consuming barfed-out balls. Yep, Pig Eat Ball is strictly gross-out territory, but does it look fancy while doing its thing. With garish colours and busy levels, Pig Eat Ball carves out an unmistakeable look for itself, even if its gameplay is firmly in Pac-Man territory.

Have a look at the gameplay below:

The game has been featured on PlayStation Blog today, and it details quite a bit about what to expect from the game. The colourful chaos of the game will be available in hundreds of levels, spread out across five worlds. The game emphasises action and exploration in equal parts, and there’s levels are much like puzzles that you will need to figure out in order to clear.

Your pig can also wear disguises that you can find in the overworld. Each disguise will feature a pro and a con. You’ll have to weigh it out if you want to use one. There’s also some spectacular-looking bosses in the game. Won’t find that in Pac-Man now, will you grandpa?!

The developer also promises a 4-player party mode, as well as a level editor (the level editor will only be available on computer versions of the game).

Pig Eat Ball is being developed in Indiana, USA at Mommy’s Best Games.  It has been in development for some 4 years now, and is scheduled to release sometime in 2018 for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Xbox One. Have a look at the official website here.
