Ripped Pants at Work is a stealth game about a workplace tragedy

You’re at work, and now you’re pantsless. Can you find a pair of pants? Or will you get fired for indecency? Find out in Ripped Pants at Work.

Most stealth games usually have you infiltrating top-secret military bases or the like, but what happens when the sneaking about is something you’re forced to do on your first day of work? Ripped Pants at Work explores just this exact scenario, so that you might be educated and prepared.

While trying to pick a pencil, your character ends up ripping their pants and in their new pantsless state, they must sneak out of work and into the city to find a pair of pants. Of course, you may not be successful, and if you’re caught, you’ll be fired for indecency. Another employee will take your place… and they’ll rip their pants too. And so, the cycle continues.

Ripped Pants at Work is being developed by Scott Ethington, who has previously worked in smaller teams and done QA for bigger companies. Towards the end of 2016, he began creating a new game every week to relieve creative build-up. Ripped Pants at Work emerged out of one of those development weeks, and proved to be popular on itch.io, prompting the developer to rebuild the game, better and stronger.

Ripped Pants at Work is scheduled to release sometime in January 2018 on PC and Mac. Check out the official website here, which hosts a dev log, alongside store links.

Really, we should all just start using skirts already, like come on.

Also check out the Metal Gear Solid spoof Never Stop Sneakin’, which has plenty of stealthing about. More stealth can be found in Serial Cleaner, where you clean up a crime scene before the cops notice you.
