The Steam Summer Sale went live recently, where the PC game platform hosts one of its biggest annual events, and developers and publishers offer discounts on their games. There are tons of games on sale, and many of them are absolutely worth buying. If you are struggling to decide what to purchase, check out our list of the best games to buy during the Steam Summer Sale.
As the sale went live a couple of days ago, discounted games have completely taken over Steam’s best sellers chart. Among the top 10 best-selling games, nine of them are discounted titles, with only one game sitting at the top without any discount.
Among the best-selling games, there is one title that many players may not have heard about for quite some time. That game is The Binding of Isaac, and it is currently the third best-selling game on Steam.
The Steam Summer Sale Has Brought Back a Fan Favorite

This Steam Summer Sale has surprised many players positively given that there are tons of incredible deals available. That said, what is even more surprising is that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, a game that originally launched in 2014, has returned to the top-selling chart of Steam.
Not only has it returned to the top sellers list, but it has also climbed all the way to become the third best-selling game on Steam right now. In the snapshot above, you can see that it is in the third spot behind Cyberpunk 2077. The ranking may appear as number five, but that is because we have applied a filter to remove free-to-play games from the list.
When looking at the best-selling games on Steam, free-to-play games are usually excluded because they do not require you to spend any money. Since many of them consistently remain among the top sellers, including them would not provide a fair comparison for paid games. At numbers four and five, you can see Dead by Daylight and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 respectively.
What is even more surprising is that Meccha Chameleon, an indie game that recently took the internet by storm, is still holding onto the top spot despite the huge discounts available across Steam.
The Binding Of Isaac Is An Old Classic
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a roguelike game and one that had a massive influence on the genre. One of the most brilliant things about this game is that it never feels repetitive because there are so many items that can completely change the outcome of your run. On top of that, every floor has its own pool of bosses, meaning you are unlikely to fight the same boss twice on the same level.
One of the best roguelikes ever made, packed with insane item combinations and endless replayability. Every run feels different, whether you’re becoming an unstoppable god or dying horribly to something you didn’t see.
