Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles to release on Switch in two weeks
As promised earlier this year, Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is set to release on the Switch. You could be playing it before the end of this month.
We learned back in March this year that Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is headed to the Nintendo Switch. Now, we have an official release date, too. According to developer Prideful Sloth, the game’s digital Switch version will release on 17th May. Additionally, a physical Switch version will be released on 12th June in the USA and 15th June in Europe and Australia.
Pricing for the digital version is set at $29.99 USD, while the physical version will be priced at $39.99 USD. Supported languages for the Switch release are: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Pre-orders will be available starting today, and there will be a discount on those, too.
As mentioned in the original Switch version announcement, Yonder will be getting a ‘photo mode’ added. In this mode, you can take pretty pictures of your exploits and share them with friends (and enemies). The mode will be, at first, exclusive to the Switch.

Here’s what the game is about according to the devs:
Shipwrecked due to an unexpected storm, your young hero or heroine soon learns that they’re on the gorgeous island of Gemea. While taking refuge in a cave, a magical sprite explains that the land’s natural beauty is tainted by a strange, dark substance called Murk. With the sprite by your side, it’s up to you to both cleanse the land and assist the townsfolk and gain their trust. Farm, craft, cook, brew, and fish to restore the land to its former glory!
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles originally released on PC and PS4 in July last year. For more information on the game, have a look at our previous coverage. Also do check out the official website.
