Indie Game Releases of the Week: July 4 to 10, 2022

This week in indie games, we have the adventure game Intruder in Antiquonia, VR action RPG Ruinsmagus, horror adventure Madison, and more.

Hope you like adventuring, because this week’s featured indie titles are all about going where you haven’t gone before and uncovering mysteries. We’ve got an RPG made exclusively for virtual reality, a “Strand”-type game about a cursed forest, space platforming, disturbing and horrific photo-taking, and finally, solving a good ol’ fashioned mystery.

RUINSMAGUS is an action JRPG designed especially for VR. As a member of the titular magic guild, you get to undertake 25 story-driven quests that take you deep into ruins protected by fearsome Guardians.

When you’re not adventuring in the deep, you can also explore the city of Grand Amnis, stopping by the cafes and making new friends.

Witch Strandings

Witch Strandings is an open-world transportation game in which you play as a strand of light in a vast, fairy-tale-inspired world. Y

ou will make pathways through the forest, carry supplies to nourish its transformed creatures, and alter the forest itself as you build up to confronting the Witch who broke the place.

StarFlint the BlackHole Prophecy

StarFlint the BlackHole Prophecy is an adventure game with puzzle platforming and space battles, in which you control two elites of the ‘StarFlint’ unit as they find themselves in an entirely new galaxy while in pursuit of the evil Vargas.

As you explore this galaxy with its people enslaved by Vargas, you will recruit new characters, solve riddles and puzzles, and even fight space battles to break Vargas’ dominion.

Madison

MADiSON is a first-person horror adventure game in which you play as Luca, who finds himself locked in a dark room with blood on your hands. Forced by a horrific demon to continue a barbaric, decades-old ritual, Luca must use his instant camera to survive – or dive deeper into the demon’s tortures.

You’ll explore disturbing stories blended into the main narrative, while also solving puzzles, some of which may change and randomize to make each playthrough exciting.

Intruder In Antiquonia

Intruder In Antiquonia is a point-and-click adventure in which you play as a young woman named Sarah, who finds herself waking up with no memories in a village that rejects the Internet.

While investigating the mystery of she ended up in Antiquonia, Sarah discovers more than what she bargained for, uncovering characters’ backstories and her own mysterious past.
