Tiny Eden Review

Tiny Eden

Tiny Eden may be set in a futuristic world, but even then, humanity hasn’t forgotten the importance of plants. In Tiny Eden, you run a little garden on the balcony of your apartment. The game features detailed mechanics and the work it takes to raise your plants and make sure they stay healthy.

Setting Up Your Garden

Tiny Eden

Raising plants is no easy task, as they are fragile and require so much attention. The game gives consideration to these details quite well. The early quests of the game will help you get familiar with the gameplay quite well. You have to build the plant pots from scratch, and more are unlocked as you continue playing. You also have access to skills, which make a lot of tasks less tedious as you progress.

Depending on your requirements, you can build larger pots. The build mechanics in the game require you to get all the necessary materials. Most of them can be simply bought from the shop, but some are obtained through quests, which let you meet NPCs. The quests also set up the story around the game.

There is a wide variety of plants to grow, but the game doesn’t overwhelm you with raising all of them at once at the start. As you proceed through the quest progression, you will be slowly encouraged to grow more plants. Each plant has specific soil requirements. You have to pour in the correct ratio in the pots to make sure they grow healthy. They also need to get the correct amount of sunlight and temperature.

You won’t have much trouble figuring out what they need, as the plants will display an icon when something is wrong, and you can then check your guide to know how to resolve the issue, which could range from pests to nutritional issues. You would need additional tools to remove weeds and overgrowth, which also gives you biomass.

Building Your Business’s Name

You aren’t simply growing plants for fun; you are actually running a business, and the game emphasizes building your reputation and good relations with your partners. To get money, you are required to complete their quests. It can be slower and repetitive at the start, but you can do most orders by growing the same kinds of plants.

As you increase reputation, more partners will be unlocked, and you will have access to more items in the shop. You then open your own store later to directly sell your goods to the customers. You can customize your shop to your liking and also decorate your house.

Verdict

Tiny Eden

Tiny Eden has a lot of potential as cozy game where you run a small garden in your house. Some parts of the gameplay can feel a bit frustrating, especially when making money during early gameplay and repetitive quests to increase reputation. However, I love the attention to detail in the aspect of growing plants.
