02 Nov, 2017
After releasing on Steam and mobile a few months ago, Cat Quest is bringing its open-world RPG action to PS4 and Switch. This kitty can has broadsword.
Those of you waiting for kitty role-playing action won’t have to wait for too long as Cat Quest is headed to PS4 and Switch on 10th November. While the release will be worldwide on the Switch, this release date only holds true for the EU region on PS4. North American players will have to wait until the 14th to get their paws on the game.
The last time we covered Cat Quest was when we learnt about its Steam release. Since then, the game has also released on mobile platforms.
Cat Quest tells the tale of a kitty hero in the vast world of Felingard. Your sister has been kidnapped by the evil Drakoth, and it’s up to you to save her. The game features real-time combat in an open-world environment. You’ll hack and slash away at enemies, use punny magic spells, gain better equipment, conquer dungeons, complete side-quests and immerse yourself in a world full of cat-themed names. Really, this is strictly cat-lover territory we’re talking about here.
The game is developed by Singaporean studio The Gentlebros. This is their second game, after the 2015 mobile release Slashy Hero. Publishing is being handled by British publisher PQube Limited, which has published Syberia 3, White Day, Steins;Gate 0 and Akiba’s Beat.

Cat Quest is presently available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android. Check out the official website here.
More furry action role-playing can be found in Ghost of a Tale, if you can tolerate mice, that is. For a complete cleanse of the palate, consider the steampunk dungeon crawler RPG Vaporum.
