DarkSwitch is a survival city builder where you have to build your city around the Great Tree, while also dealing with the mysterious and lethal fog around it. This fog, or shroud, contains many horrors, and it’s up to the residents of the tree to research and create new ways to counter its threat. The fate of the world depends upon your choices, so make your decisions wisely in this dark world where the great tree is your stronghold.

Prologue
In the Prologue, you’ll play as Etnarch Tessen as he tries to make Elaran a self-sufficient settlement, while also trying to fight against the fog. You’ll also have to deal with people claiming to be Luminarchs as you prepare for the massive shroudsurge. Read more
Chapter 1
Valfidis, a former archon, arrives at Elaran. Now, you’ll have to rebuild the entire settlement, but to make things worse, the council has branded everyone on Elaran a traitor. There’s no turning back, and now, you’ll have to research the Sun Seed and find out what it’s capable of. Read more
Chapter 2
In Chapter 2, you’ll find and assemble the Luminaris in Elaran, which will allow you to deal with wraiths and provide better protection than Flameguards when the shroud gets more intense. You’ll also have to set up a few Light Spires to protect your structures. Read more
Chapter 3
Prepare for the war against Sorago as its mighty fleet approaches Elaran. You’ve been given an ultimatum, and you have to prepare your defenses during this time while also keeping your settlers from panicking. Explore and build combat skywalkers to defend your settlement. Read more
Chapter 4
Withstand the Shroudsurge and build another Luminaris. You’ll then have to shine the glow of the Luminaris on Sorago, who’s willing to sign a peace treaty with Elaran. You’ll also have to search for the Dark Switch on the world map as you make progress towards an ultimate solution against the shroud. Read more
Chapter 5
The Blood Moon Era is coming, and the fog will reach the top of the Great Tree and last for a century. Now, Captain Ginoa takes charge as she wants to build a light network, providing the other settlements with protection against the fog. This light network will let you reach the Peace Under The Veil ending. Read more
