Lords Of Ravage Complete Walkthrough

Lords of Ravage

Lords of Ravage is a tactical turn-based adventure RPG where you can play as one of the three protagonists. Each of these protagonists is evil and is looking for the Staff of Arkedon, an ancient artifact with the ability to do the unimaginable. For more information on Lords of Ravage, don’t forget to check out their official Steam page here.

The game introduces many mechanics to improve the turn-based system while also making it enjoyable. In this walkthrough, we’ll be covering the stories of each playable character as each of them goes on their own quest to claim the Staff of Arkedon.

Introduction

As the game begins, you can initially only play as Lord Berold. You’ll have to complete Lord Berold’s story to unlock Zavris, and then her story to unlock Azneya.

Each lord’s story leads you to the Staff of Arkedon for their own purposes, which is something you’ll have to acquire to bring their goals to fruition.

Furthermore, each of these lords has a different ability and playstyle, which keeps the gameplay interesting as you continue to play.

Mechanics

There are a variety of mechanics that affect the gameplay, and it’s important to know what each of them does if you want to win the game with all the leaders.

You can hire troops for money, and letting them die in battle isn’t that big of a deal since you can’t reliably heal most of them.

Edicts And Relics

There are many other factors in combat, such as Edicts and Relics. The battle consists of three rounds, and you can select one Relic in each round. Their bonuses stack, so make sure you’re picking the right ones as the battle goes on.

Edicts are basically your trump cards. Each Edict provides a unique bonus and requires you to consume Edict Points, EP in short, to use them. Each turn, you get two EP, which continue to pile up as the battle goes on. Edicts can be used to deal damage or provide buffs or nerfs to your troops or the enemies.

Both Relics and Edicts can be acquired by visiting certain nodes on the map. These Relics and Edicts appear at nodes at random, but you’ve got alternate choices on each of these nodes.

Menace

However, as you explore the map, you have to be wary. Roaming the lands as a Lord of Ravage can cause Menace, which can be seen in the middle of the screen in the map. As your Menace increases, the power and HP of your enemies also increase proportionally.

Even if you don’t visit any active nodes and simply travel a large distance through the map, your Menace will continue to increase with each step. However, there are a few nodes that allow you to reduce the Menace that you’ve built up, allowing you to choose between further strengthening your troops or reducing the overall power of the enemies that you’ll be facing.

Base Building

Certain nodes allow you to gather building materials. You can use these to unlock certain structures in the base. The base doesn’t really have to do anything with where your troops will be living, but unlocking structures does give you certain bonuses in and out of combat.

These passive effects that you gain from building structures in your base can allow you to increase the overall power of your troop or your leader, or reduce the upgrade cost of other resources, such as Relics or Edicts.

Troops

There are two types of troops, regular and elite. You can hire more troops for gold. Hiring random troops is cheaper, but you can also buy a specific type of troop for a specified amount of gold; however, you’ll first have to unlock the respective troop and add it to your Dark Alliance by visiting certain nodes.

At the start of a battle, you can place up to three of your regular troops, alongside a single elite troop, or just four regular troops. After each round, you can add one more regular troop to the battle. In case a troop dies during battle, you can immediately replace it one another troop, and this will go on until you run out of all your troops.

Summoning The Leader

Each leader has different abilities and a different playstyle. At any point in battle, you can summon the leader by evacuating all the troops.

Each of these leaders possesses immense power compared to regular troops. Furthermore, the leaders progressively get stronger the longer the battle goes on, until the leader reaches their final phase. However, if your leader dies, the game ends, and you’ll have to start over.

It’s best to summon the leader when you’re sure you’ll be able to minimize the casualties of your followers or troops, and there’s only a slight chance that your leader would get damaged.

There are certain nodes that will allow you to heal your leader, increase their maximum health, or power. You’ll have to make your decision wisely by considering all other factors.

Lord Berold

As the story begins, Lord Berold is the lord commander under King Serill’s rule. He is also the leader of the Dread Knights, whom the king has put in prison for massacring a monastery. King Serill is currently at war alongside Lord Berold, and when the situation calls for it, Berold frees the Dread Knights so they can help him out in battle against the enemy forces.

After the battle, King Serill and Lord Berold get into an argument, where King Serill doesn’t seem to agree with Berold’s bloodthirsty ways, and decides to appoint General Sagerus as the leader of the Dread Knights. However, Berold then proceeds to slay the king and become a kingslayer ruler of the people.

As a kingslayer, the Zenith Pact is after Berold. The Zenith Pact is a self-proclaimed peace-keeping organization that is just as evil as the evil it’s trying to stop. Lord Berold loses all his forces except a handful of followers as his story begins.

Berold decides that he’s going to need the Staff of Arkedon, which is hidden in the Conflux region, if he wishes to achieve great power and unite the five kingdoms. Berold is sure that a wizard named Resior might know more about the ancient artifact, and thus begins his search for it.

Elroy’s Promise

Elroy, an acquaintance of Lord Berold, knows the whereabouts of Resior. When approached by Berold, Elroy puts forward the condition that Berold must find and eradicate a Paladin, and only then will Elroy be willing to share what he knows about Resior.

Berold reluctantly agrees since he doesn’t have any other choice. Soon after, Berold receives news from Elroy’s spy about the Paladin’s unit’s location and asks Berold to arrive with his forces in person.

Now, you have to gather your forces and other resources on the map as you make your way to the main quest node. There, you’ll find the spy already dead, and you will be ambushed by soldiers.

After winning the battle, it will be revealed that the Paladin is not here and will be at a location called Warrior’s Pass. As you get there, you’ll find that the Paladin is Bertele, a former colleague of Berold. Bertele agrees to do anything Berold says for him to spare his life, but you’ll have to battle him and bring his head to Elroy.

Pale Hold

Elroy tells Berold that Resior is in the Pale Hold, a heavily guarded citadel. Elroy suggests that Berold can sneak into the Citadel with a handful of soldiers to reach Resior.

In the next map, you’ll find a convoy headed for the Pale Hold. Berold intercepts the convoy and secures the weapons and armor, though it is revealed that Pale Hold is currently poorly supplied.

In the next main mission node, Berold finds Resior, who was already tortured by the previous occupants of the Pale Hold. You will have to battle against him. Resior isn’t that strong, and you can use your troops alone to bring him down.

After being defeated, Resior will try to warn Berold of the dangers of the Staff of Arkedon. In the end, Resior will reveal that Elroy already took the staff from him and then sent him to rot in the Pale Hold.

Retribution

Berold then arrives at Elroy’s hold, and you’ll have to fight against several Zenith Pact members. After defeating them, you’ll find out that the staff is hidden in the village called Elmwood. However, General Sageras and his men are on the way there.

Elroy is able to negotiate his life, asking to be traded to General Sageras to gain free passage to Elmwood. Berold agrees to the terms and lets Elroy live.

However, when you reach the main quest node, you’ll find out that General Sageras doesn’t want to negotiate, and you’ll have to fight against him.

With his dying breath, General Sageras will reveal that the staff is already gone. Berold then kills him and moves deeper into the Conflux to find the staff.

Berold Vs. Emperor Stavross

Lord Berold arrives in the hold of Emperor Stavross, who now owns the staff and is going to remove the barrier between the worlds by sacrificing all the living people in the Capital.

The battle against Emperor Stavross is quite challenging, as he’ll resurrect twice before dying for good. He’ll also summon stone golems in the battle. Fighting against Stavross as Berold isn’t that much of a challenge since Berold is quite strong by himself and can easily mow through his golems.

You can bring out Berold after you’ve defeated Emperor Stavross twice, and after that, Berold will be able to handle the rest of the battle easily by himself.

After defeating Emperor Stavross, Lord Berold will claim the Staff of Arkedon and become a butcher leader, binding people by force under his rule.

Zavris

Zavris is a cult leader, sacrificing lives to communicate with her gods, the Trifathers. She wants to bring back her husband and daughter from the dead, and for that, she plays by the rules of the Trifathers. She wants to acquire the ancient artifact under their command.

Zavris is much weaker compared to the other Leaders, and as such, you’ll have to rely on Edicts and Relics to deal consistent damage to your enemies. The troops that are under Zavris, such as the Fanatics and Ritualists, are worth sacrificing on the field for the bonuses they provide.

You should only summon Zavris in battle when you’re sure you’ll be able to fight without getting any damage to her. The latter battles in her story are quite challenging as well, so you should focus the most on increasing your troop count the most, as they’ll be doing most of the work in her story.

Her main damage-dealing ability has a three-turn cooldown, and her secondary damage-dealing ability only has three charges, so she’s not suited for long battles.

Furthermore, the Apocalypse Locket Relic is very crucial to her gameplay style, as it allows you to deal consistent damage every turn. You should do everything you can to get it to level 3 as quickly as possible.

The Farag Brothers

Zavris hires the Farag Brothers, two mercenaries, and asks them for help in taking over Cardell. From here, your main priority should be to secure as many good Edicts and gold as you can, and then hire troops for battle.

On the next main mission, the Farag Brothers will open the gate to Cardell from the inside, opening a pathway for Zavris’s forces to come in and take hold of the area.

However, Inquisitor Ortega, the main target of Cardell, had already retreated from the region, and she took the ancient artifact with her.

Zavris decides to chase her down, and when she confronts her, the two talk about their faiths before facing each other in battle.

After defeating Ortega, Zavris orders her followers to claim the Storm Anchor, the artifact, and bring it to her. However, her followers are unable to find it. Zavris suspects that it’s the work of the Farag Brothers.

Chasing The Farag Brothers

Upon hearing the advice of her followers, Zavris decides to retreat to her base for the time being to regain her strength. She then sacrifices another one of her followers to gain an audience with the Trifathers.

The Trifathers do tell Zavris the current location of the artifact, which prompts her to travel with her forces to the designated area, the Devahir Desert.

Zavris will find the Farag Brothers in the desert, but they’ll run away, leaving behind their soldiers to fight against her. After defeating their followers, Zavris will continue to chase down the brothers in the desert.

In the next main node, you’ll have to fight against the Farag Brothers. They are very sturdy and regenerate some HP with every hit of damage that they take.

However, after being defeated, the Farag Brothers will plead for mercy and will tell Zavris that they’ll show her the path to the Storm Anchor, which is at the Gate of Light, and will even go as far as to use themselves as a diversion so she can achieve it. Zavris agrees and spares their lives.

Gate Of Light

Zavris arrives with her followers at the Gate of Light. Here, you’ll have to fight against some strong members of the Zenith Pact.

After defeating them, Zavris moves deeper into the area. Here, she will be confronted by the three aspects: The Aspect of Sun, The Aspect of Fire, and The Aspect of Moon.

These three are incredibly strong, and you’ll have to use all your troops and Zavris herself to come out victorious in this battle.

Make sure you don’t target the Aspect of the Sun first, because it increases the attack power of all Aspects every time it takes damage by 2%. Focus on others first, and defeat them one by one.

Zavris Vs. Emperor Stavross

After defeating the Aspects and claiming the Storm Anchor, Zavris arrives at the location to conduct her ritual. However, this place is already going through another ritual held by Emperor Stavross.

Zavris will then confront Stavross and engage in battle against him. You’ll have to defeat him a total of three times. Let all your troops die if you have to, because this is going to be the last battle.

After defeating the Emperor, Zavris claims the staff of Arkedon for herself, bringing back her husband and daughter to life with it. However, she gets consumed by madness, as her husband and daughter aren’t the same anymore.

Azneya

Azneya is the genius commander of the forces of the abyss. She’s trying to find a way to go back to the abyss alongside her followers.

Her game plan revolves around using troops, and she’s the only leader who can fight alongside her troops after you summon her during the battle.

Compared to Zavris, Azneya is quite easy to control, and her troops are also quite strong. Azneya wants to get her hands on the Staff of Arkedon so she can get back to the abyss, and she has found out that it’s located in the Conflux region.

Meeting Andronis

Azneya makes her way through the region, arriving at a location to gather information. She lets the human go after interrogating, refusing to turn into a bloodthirsty leader. Azneya believes that the human won’t tell anyone, but suddenly, the Zenith Pact warriors come in.

Azneya will have to fight alongside her troops, and after she has won, reinforcements will arrive from the Pact. She’s in a difficult situation. Fortunately, Andronius shows up, conjuring a firewall between her and the humans as Azneya escapes with her followers.

After safely retreating, Azneya talks with her followers. Azneya’s followers, particularly Zior, are not happy because she took pity on a human and risked their lives instead. Zior then challenges Azneya to a battle for her position.

Precival Serrano from the southern Pact forces has caught up to Azneya and attacks her. She fights back alongside her forces and defeats them. Azneya and Zior both agree that they’re not done with the challenge talk.

Anyway, Andronis catches up to them. Andronis says that he knows about the Staff of Archedon and that it’s in Conflux. He’s ready and willing to help the demons get back to the abyss. When asked why he would do that, Andornis simply says that he wants to come with them to the Abyss.

Azneya agrees and lets him join the forces.

Diving Deep Into The Conflux

Andornis leads Azneya and her followers to Conflux and guides them through secret paths where they can safely avoid the Zenith Pact.

Meanwhile, Zior and Azneya agree that they’ll continue the talk about the challenge once they return to the abyss. For now, he’s willing to work under her command.

Andronis then leads Azneya and her army to a hold. He goes in to gather information in Azneya’s absence, even though her followers tried to stop him.

While Andronis is talking to the human soldiers in the hold, Azneya comes in and thinks Andronis has betrayed her and starts to fight against the humans, leading to a full-blown battle.

After the battle is done and Azneya and her forces have successfully defeated the humans, Andronis speaks up. He says that he was only going to inquire about information from the humans. He then asks the demons to bring a living human to him.

Andronis casts a magic on the human, making him talk about everything he knows before killing him.

The Attack From The Pact

Zenith Pact forces catch up to Azneya and her followers. She asks Andronis to use his magic on them, but he clarifies that his magic only works on humans, and these pact soldiers have long given up any humanity.

These three soldiers are quite sturdy, repeatedly buffing themselves with damage reduction from attacks. Fortunately, Azneya is quite powerful in combat alongside her troops. So you can easily deploy her after you’ve used up all your attacks, and then she will resummon followers. Resummoning followers refreshes their attacks, allowing you to deal considerable damage without giving up your turn.

After their victory, Andronis tells jokes to Azneya and her followers, which prompts her to tell Andronis about the realities of the Abyss and how hard it is to live there. After a heartfelt exchange, the troops leave for their next destination.

Andronis Gets Wounded

In the next main node, you’ll immediately have to battle against a large Zenith Pact force, so you should gather as many troops as possible.

After the battle, Andronis will be wounded. Zior will remark that Andronis is a dead man after suffering such a wound from the Pact. Amidst all this, Andronis asks for demon blood to heal himself.

Surprisingly, Zior is quite willing to offer his blood to Andronis. Zior says that this life was saved by him, and he’d willingly give his to save him.

Betrayal

Azneya thinks something is off. She talks with Kazzara, a demon follower. Kazzara talks about how Andronis is going to become the Great Sovereign and rule the abyss, making it clear that all of Azneya’s followers have been brainwashed by him.

Angered by the betrayal, Azneya chases Andronis down, who then commands Zior to harm Azneya. However, she’s able to return Zior and others to their senses. You’ll then have to fight against Andronis.

Andronis will also have some demon followers on his side, but the battle itself is quite easy. Once you’ve defeated Andronis, Azneya will be on her own as she leads her army into the deepest region of the Conflux.

Azneya Vs. Emperor Stravoss

Azneya reaches Stravoss’s castle to claim the Staff of Arkedon, so she and her followers can finally return to the abyss. In this battle, you’ll have to defeat Stravoss thrice.

Fortunately, Azneya can easily fight toe to toe against Stravoss alongside the rest of her troops. You can summon her early into the battle and then continue to bring down his HP with the rest of your troops by repeatedly marking him with Azneya’s skill.

After defeating Emperor Stravoss, Azneya will claim the Staff of Arkedon and return to the abyss alongside her Army, where she uses the power of the staff to become the Great Soveriegn, while also losing her mind in the process.
