Mixtape is a narrative title published by Annapurna Interactive that focuses on the story of Stacey Rockford and two friends. It’s the last day before Stacey leaves for New York, and the friends are determined to make the day as memorable as possible. You’ll have to dive deep into the memories of Stacey’s friends, the ones she holds dear, as she prepares to join a massive party at night.

Path To Rockford’s
As the game begins, Stacey will have to skateboard all the way to her house with her friends, Van Slater and Cassandra Morino.
Here, you don’t have to do much, just follow the path and avoid the upcoming cars. Even if you do crash into something, the game will rewind itself a few seconds back so you can avoid it the next time.

When you finally reach Rockford’s house, you’ll find that Cassandra had already reached here on a vehicle. You’ll have to do a secret Handshake with her by pressing the keys in a specific order as displayed on the screen.
Stacey and her friends will then shortly enter the Rockford house and move to Stacey’s room.

Stacey’s Room
In Stacey’s room, you’ll first have to interact with her skateboard. The camera will then zoom towards the cassette on the table.
Interact with the cassette, and you’ll have to rewind the tape. After you’re done, the scene will shift to Stacey’s past, where she’s kissing Colin.

Here, you’ll have to control the tongues of both characters as they kiss. Shortly after, you’ll be able to stop by pressing the displayed button.

Record Player
After the kissing scene of Stacey’s past, you’ll return to the room. Here, you’ll have to move towards the TV. There’s a record player on top of the TV. Interact with it.
This will take you to the memory where the trio is driving a car while enjoying the music. You’ll also be able to use gestures as you enjoy the music. Shortly after, the scene will be over once the trio reaches their destination in the memory.

Photos Of The Past
There’s a clothes line hanging on the wall, next to the shelf, with several pictures hanging on it. Three pictures are missing from here.
You’ll have to find each picture and bring it back to the rope to hang it there. You can find the first picture right under the hanging pictures. It’s on the pile of books.

The second picture is hanging on the closet door, near the basketball hoop on the wall.

You can find the third picture inside the notebook on the side table by the bed. Once all three pictures have been hung on the rope, you’ll enter a memory.

In this memory, you’ll have to control a shopping cart as Stacey and Van try to get away from the police with Cassandra, who is overly drunk.
You’ll have to control the shopping cart and avoid crashing into anything on your way until you reach your destination. At the end of the path, the trio will fall into the water, but successfully manage to avoid the police chasing them.

Tapehead Graveyard
There’s a carton on the chair in front of the computer inside Stacey’s room. If you interact with it, it will unlock the next memory sequence.
In this memory sequence, you’ll see the memory where Stacey gives Cassandra a gift in the past.

Road Trip Plan
Now, you have to interact with the map near the wardrobe. If you interact with it, you’ll see multiple notes attached to the map.
Here, you have to interact with each note attached to the map. Once you’ve done that, the friends will then leave Stacey’s room to enter Stacey’s sister’s room to search for drinks. You’ll have to follow them.

Debbie’s Room
Debbie is Stacey’s sister, and her room is right next to Stacey’s. When you get inside the room, you’ll have to interact with the closet. There’s a note here.
The note is from Debbie, and she’s saying that the key for the closet is nearby. You’ll have to search the nearby stuff next.

Debby’s Photo
There’s a photo of Debbie and Cole with Jenny Goodspeed in the background. You’ll have to interact with the photo.

This will unlock a slushie recipe minigame where you have to pour the flavors into a cup. You’ll have to fill the cups twice, once as Stacey and once as Van.

Concert Ticket
Right under the photo, there’s a green counter. You’ll have to interact with the drawer. Stacey will find a concert ticket here.
You’ll have to find the other part of the concert ticket. You can find it under the black notebook inside the drawer. There’s a lot of stuff over it, so you’ll have to move all that first.

This will unlock the memory where Stacey and Van take photos inside a photobooth.

Treasure Map
Interact with the seashell on the blue table. You’ll find the key under it. Use the key on the closet. Stacey will find a ton of photos, as well as a letter left for her by Debbie.
One of the photos shows a man with many drinks. It appears that Debbie has left a stash of drinks for Stacey and her friends, but the only clue is an image of a man holding the crate of drinks.

The trio then thinks back about the time when Debbie gave them a map. You’ll then enter the memory where you’ll have to go into the woods.
Follow the rail tracks. You’ll end up at a broken bridge. However, there’s a path going left just before the bridge. Take it, and you’ll eventually arrive at an abandoned train.

Keep walking inside the train. The camera will shift, but keep going. You’ll then reach some plains. Here, you’ll be able to run and jump really high into the air. If you jump into the air currents, you’ll travel even further.
Keep going to the other side of the plains. The party will then finally arrive at the old cabin in the woods. The memory will then end, and the trio will leave Stacey’s house.

Skipping Stones
Stacey and her friends will skateboard to the next location. The difficulty is a little more challenging than the last ride.
They’ll then arrive at a bridge. The party will then sit on the lakeshore as they talk. You’ll be able to throw stones in the lake. There are plenty of targets here, and more of them will show up as you smash some.

There’s also a tire hanging from a tree, and if you throw a stone through it, you’ll get an achievement. Once the conversation is over, you’ll be able to leave the lakeshore and arrive at Cassandra’s house.

Cassandra’s Room
As you enter Cassandra’s room, you’ll notice the first point of interest. It is a trophy shelf to your right from the entrance to the room.
Interact with the glowing trophy. You’ll then enter the memories of Cassandra and Stacey in a baseball practice ground. As Stacey, you can miss all the shots, but the scene will keep going.

Shortly, Cassandra will take the bat. You’ll have to hit the ball several times here. With each homerun, the area around the grounds will turn into a full-fledged stadium.
After a while, the memory will end as Cassandra smashes one of the lights with a shot.

Detention
Enter the toilet in Cassandra’s room. You’ll find a detention slip attached next to the mirror. Interact with it.
In this memory, you have to throw the toilet paper rolls over the principal’s house. Hold the throw button and aim a little higher than the house to throw the roll all the way to the other side.

After you’ve made a few successful throws, you’ll be able to end the sequence by pressing the displayed button. In the scene, Cassandra is shown to take the blame for doing it all at the principal’s house.

Hanging out With Jenny
There’s a picture of Cassandra and Jenny on the table outside the toilet. Interact with it. In the memory sequence, Cassandra makes some excuse for being unable to hang out with Stacey.
However, Stacey sees Cassandra with Jenny when she’s out on the same day, which makes her feel upset. In the sequence, Stacey will start to levitate.

You’ll have to avoid any hard obstacles as you guide her back to her home. Along the way, you’ll encounter some gigantic pig balloons. If you hit three of them with Stacey, you’ll get an achievement.
Once Stacey returns to her house, the sequence will end.

Contract
Next, you have to interact with the Contract of Conduct that’s on Cassandra’s bed, next to Van Slater.
As you interact with it, it will reveal the memory of Cassandra and her parents. You’ll also find out that Cassandra’s father is a police officer.

To The Moon
Interact with the window in Cassandra’s room. The window is behind where Slater is sitting.
The memory sequence here will reveal a heartfelt conversation between Cassandra and Stacy under the moon.

The Mini Master
You’ll have to interact with Van Slater as he’s sitting while holding the Mini Master in his hand on Cassandra’s bed.
In the sequence, you’ll have to add batteries to the handheld device. Pick it up and rotate it. There’s a cover where you’d place the batteries, but you can remove it by clicking on it.

After that, pick the batteries and drop them in the battery slot. Once that’s done, interact with the battery cover again to close it.
Rotate the Mini Master once again and press the power button. The device will power up.

Dino Park
After completing the Mini Master sequence, you’ll enter their memory of their visit to the Dinosaur Park. As you arrive there, you’ll have the Mini Master Camera in your hand.
However, the lights are out, and you can barely see anything in the camera. Pressing the big red button does nothing. Now, you’ll have to find the power room. Follow the power cable on the ground, and you’ll reach the power outlet.

Turn on the power from the power room. Now, head back to the red button in front of the dinosaur. Press the button and the dinosaur will start to move.
Now, you have to take a picture of both Cassandra and Van Slater alongside the dinosaur in the background. Once you’re done, go through the gate to the right.

Keep going, and you’ll reach some longneck dinosaurs. Press the red button and take a picture of both friends alongside the dinosaur.
You’ll have to go further inside the area until you reach a Spinosaurus. Take Cassandra and Slater’s picture with it.

There’s a power panel nearby. If you interact with it, a small cart will arrive on the rail. The trio will then sit on it and travel to the next location inside the park.
On the way, the ride will break down. You’ll have to find an exit here. The nearest exit gate is locked. Take the path leading right. There will be a platform that you can climb on.

Keep climbing, and you’ll arrive in a gigantic room with many smaller dinosaur toys. You’ll have to keep going until you arrive at a triceratops structure. Take Cassandra and Slater’s picture here after pressing the red button.
There will be a long neck there. Stacey can climb on it with her friends. Once that’s done, the party will have a conversation on the dinosaur’s back until the comet drops and sends Stacey back to the present.

Officer Morino
Cassandra’s father, Officer Morino, will then arrive in Cassandra’s room. He sends out Van Slater and Stacey from the room.
Officer Morino then grounds Cassandra, prohibiting her from going to the party at night.

You’ll then have to make your way to the next location by skateboarding. However, this time, you’re able to explore the nearby cars and objects. If it’s glowing yellow, you can detonate it.

Cabin In The Woods
After a long skateboarding session, you’ll eventually arrive at the cabin in the woods to look for Debbie’s stash of drinks. Cassandra is not here as she was grounded by her father.

Paint
You’ll find some paint buckets in front of the cabin’s gate. Interact with it, and then you’ll have to paint the door. You can paint it in any way.

Use the Paint roller to get it done quickly. Once you’ve covered the entire door, you’ll be able to finish the sequence. After that, the trio will find a piece of a torn picture. You’ll have to gather the remaining pieces to reveal the location of the stash.

Couch
There’s an old couch outside the cabin. Interact with it, and it will unlock another memory. In this memory, you have to control both Slater and Cassandra as they move the couch.
You’ll have to keep going right in front of the cabin. You’ll eventually see a blue marker on the ground. Place the couch in the marked location. You’ll find the second piece of the picture here.

Fire Pit
Next to the couch, you’ll find an old fire pit. Interact with it. In this sequence, you’ll have to use the broom to blow away all the leaves.
Once you’ve pushed out all the leaves from the fire pit’s circle, you’ll be able to get the third piece of the picture.

Slingshot
There’s an old car nearby. It is completely wrecked right now, but it has a slingshot on top of it. Grab the slingshot.
Now, you’ll have to shoot down all of the objects on the car with the slingshot. Once all that is done, you’ll get your final piece of the picture.

Stacey and Slater will then enter the house and grab the drinks and fireworks from the location shown in the image.

Disagreement
After Stacey and Slater have found the stash of drinks and fireworks, Cassandra will shortly arrive.
However, she has brought Jenny Goodspeed with her. Cassandra then gets into an argument with Stacey and leaves with Jenny to drink at Heaven 11. Van Slater then comforts Stacey and takes it to his home.

Van Slater’s House
When you’re inside Van Slater’s house, Stacey and Slater will listen to some music together. You’ll then be free to move around the house and look at stuff.
There’s a movie cartridge on Slater’s bed. If you interact with it, you’ll unlock a memory where Slater, Cassandra, and Stacey are lying on top of a car after drinking.

The girls ask Slater to get two weekly movies, and one new one from the rental shop nearby. However, Slater is totally wasted.
You’ll have to walk as Slater to the Rental Shop. You can pick two of the weekly movies from any shelf in the store. There’s a yellow shelf on the far end of the shop, where you’ll find the new movies.

Additionally, if you knock down over 200 VHS tapes from the shelves, you’ll unlock an achievement. Once that’s done, Cassandra’s father will show up at Slater’s house, telling his mother to keep her son at home for the night.
Morino mentions that he has discovered an illegal party is about to take place at the beach and that he’s about to head over to Heaven 11. This gets Slater and Stacey worried.

To Heaven 11
Stacey will then have to run all the way to Heaven 11 before Morino can get there. Now, you’ll have to jump over the obstacles or slide under them if possible.
When you finally get to Heaven 11, Stacey will distract Morino, who also gets there just then. Stacey immediately runs up to Jenny and Cassandra, asking Jenny to run away and Cassandra to hide.

Stacey will then sit there until Morino comes and puts her in his car. Just as Morino is about to look around to catch Cassandra, Slater will arrive to free Stacey from Morino’s car. The party then manages to run away.

Explosive Ride
While the trio manages to get away from Morino, they’re still worried about the party. However, just then, Camille Cole will arrive with the rest of the squad, and she’s looking for a place to party, and Stacey just knows the place.
The trio will then ride in Kyle’s car. As Stacey rides the car, she can conduct the fireworks on both left and right sides.

Look for the white lights in the background. Press the buttons just when these lights are in the background to activate the fireworks in the air.
This sequence will keep going until the crowd arrives at the cabin in the woods.

Party Night
During the party, you’ll be playing as Slater holding a camcorder. You’ll have to walk around recording everyone.
On the screen, you’ll see some squares. Approach these squares, and they’ll trigger an event.

Walk around the area and interact with every event. Once you’ve done every event, the crowd will start cheering that Camille Cole has arrived.
You’ll have to look for her. There will be a square on her as well. Shortly after, everyone will be dancing, while the trio rests on the cabin’s rooftop.

Rebellion
As the trio is sitting on the rooftop, some fireworks will explode in the background. Unfortunately, one of the fireworks hits the cabin and sets it on fire.
No one is harmed, and the crowd quickly disperses away from the location. The police are about to arrive just as the trio is leaving.

Morino gets there first. Cassandra steps up and makes a cool demand of her father to stop being so controlling. Her father finally accepts it and asks her to run away before the other police cars arrive.

Parting Ways
After the events, you’ll enter a sequence where you’ll have to fly back home. The white trails in the sky will guide you.

Follow these trails as you go over all of the city until you arrive at Cassandra’s house, where she’ll part ways with Stacey and Slater.

Further in the cutscene, Slater walks Stacey to her home before parting ways with her. He gives her his album, something she desperately wanted, as the two part ways, and Stacey prepares for her trip the next day.
