Monster Hunter Stories is a spin-off of the mainline Monster Hunter games by Capcom. Following a different and linear pattern compared to the original, the spin-off provides a solid line and comes with a strategy turn-based combat instead of a normal real-time one.
The third installment in the series follows the story of two troubled kingdoms, Azuria and Vermeil. And with a joint effort, they plan to decrease the number of feral monsters in the areas and save endangered species. Here’s the game’s Steam page if you’re looking for further information.

Part 1: Prologue
Introducing our protagonist, we’re welcomed to the Azuria kingdom, where you’re the heir and part of the Rangers. Rangers are expeditioners who find and train monsters or release them into the wild to repopulate endangered species.
Part 2: Eleanor and Glavenus
The kingdom of Vermeil arrives at Azuria to negotiate peace. However, things take a turn when a disagreement takes place between the representatives. Still, to make the situation better, the princess of Vermeil, Eleanor, offers herself as a hostage until the situation settles.
Part 3: Endangered Species
Eleanor joins the Rangers and learns their work ethic. Leia shows her around the kingdom, and Eleanor tells them about endangered species and how to find their eggs.
Part 4: Amara and Clarissa
Eleanor and Leia face their pasts, and a war between the Vermeil and Azuria kingdoms breaks out. Nothing will be the same after this.
Part 5: Entering Cataracts
The Rangers finally defeat Magnamalo, and after receiving Wyverian Gatekeeper’s respect, it’s now time to enter the second major area of the game: Cataracts.
Part 6: Master Kol and Feral Aknosom
The Rangers finally live beyond the Meridian in a village. To help them, they defeat numerous monsters and save their Canynes.
Part 7: Yama Tsukami and Muddled Marsh
In this walkthrough, the Rangers go against the “Force of Nature,” Yama Tsukami, and enter the Muddled Marsh before Galyad.
Part 8: Rudy and Crystallisis
The Rangers fight a feral Ajarakan and arrive at Galyad, a massive city in the deserts, where the residents and ministry thrive off selling Egg Quartz.
Part 9: Rey Dau and Sacrosanctum
Ena allows the Rangers to visit the Sacrosanctum to get their answers. However, this area is heavily covered with deadly monsters, including the beast of the skies: Rey Dau.
Part 10: Arkveld and Kris
The Rangers battle against Malzeno, followed by Arkveld in the Sacrosanctum. Still, they are not aware of Kris’s impending confrontation and his true identity.
Part 11: Aenshin
The Rangers finally meet Aenshin, the Elder Dragon behind the Crystallization in both the Azuria and Vermeil Kingdoms. The peace talks don’t last long, but Aenshin gives everyone an excuse to unite.
