Silent Hill f takes a unique spin on the horror delivered from your average game in the franchise, and it works way better than expected. That is what makes it worth giving a go. As an avid fan of the franchise, I was so looking forward to playing this game, and now, after finally playing it. Ryukishi07 and NeoBards’ work on this game exceeded my expectations by a mile, and that is why I have nothing but praise for it.

Ebisugaoka – Chapter 1
The first chapter of Silent Hill f, Ebisugaoka, can be tricky, especially because everything is new. Hinako’s adventure features many twists, and the story keeps getting interesting after each chapter. Dark Shrine Path – Chapter 2
The game’s second chapter takes you to the other realm, confusing you even more than you already are regarding what’s going on. Not only will you face new horrors, but it also features a pretty challenging puzzle that can be a drag to solve. However, luckily for you, we already have a complete and detailed walkthrough ready. Ebisugaoka Fields – Chapter 3
The next chapter takes you back to Ebisugaoka, but this time you will have to explore the fields, and believe me, that is more terrifying. This chapter also features quite a challenging puzzle that can also traumatize you if you take too long. The scarecrows aren’t just for show. Also, there is a pretty annoying enemy who can be a pain. So, here, check out how to complete this chapter with ease.
Dark Shrine Corridors – Chapter 4
After escaping the fields, Hinako finds herself again in the Dark Shrine. However, this time the area and objectives are more menacing. Traveling the corridors of Dark Shrine can be quite tricky. This chapter doesn’t feature a puzzle, but it does seem like a maze, especially when you need to find a certain object. Also, you will face your first main boss here, so our walkthrough will guide you on exactly what to do.
Ebisugaoka Alleyways – Chapter 5
Clearing the Dark Shrine Corridors by defeating Hinako, the mysteries pile up again as Hinako finds herself back in Ebisugaoka. However, this time, as the main town is filled with monsters, you will have to make your way through the Alleyways, which, if you ask me, is pretty tricky. Ebisugaoka Middle School – Chapter 6
With the story still not making any sense, you reach the middle school in Ebisugaoka, where you learn more about Rinko. Chapter Six is pretty tricky, especially because of the Locker Room and Secret Box puzzles. Not only that, but even one of the first objectives, finding the key to the second floor, can be challenging. That’s why I have put together a complete walkthrough on how to complete this chapter with ease.
Dark Shrine Worship Hall – Chapter 7
Having completed chapter six in Silent Hill f, Hinako finds herself in the Dark Shrine area again. This time, you will have to explore the Worship Hall and experience new horrors. This is going to be the most challenging and lengthy chapter of all. It consists mostly of puzzles back-to-back, and that can be a drag. Ebisugaoka Mountain Path – Chapter 8
After completing Dark Shrine Worship Hall, you will be back in Ebisugaoka. As Shu and Rinko are nowhere to be found, Hinako is left alone again. So now, you will have to explore the Mountain Path area and find Shu’s house to see whether he and Rinko are there. You would need to find some items in order to progress, so read my walkthrough to progress smoothly.
Dark Shrine Main Hall – Chapter 9
After getting attacked by an entity, Hinako loses consciousness and finds herself again in the Dark Shrine area. However, this visit isn’t going to be like your previous ones, as you will find three different, unique abilities that can only be used in the Dark Shrine. This chapter will also feature a pretty annoying boss fight. Read my walkthrough to complete Dark Shrine Main Hall easily.
Shimizu Residence – Chapter 10
Shimizu Residence is one of the most complicated chapters in Silent Hill f as it features a lot of puzzles. This chapter is packed with puzzles that require careful item collection and exploration. The layout feels like a maze, making it easy to lose track of where to go next. There’s also a boss fight at the end, so if you want to get through the chapter more easily, read my walkthrough here.
Dark Shrine Rooms – Chapter 11
Having cleared Chapter 11, Hinako will return to the Dark Shrine again. Exploring the Dark Shrine Rooms can be tricky, as you have to find three different crests to solve a puzzle. To find all three crests and solve the puzzle easily, follow my step-by-step walkthrough here.
Corrupted Ebisugaoka – Chapter 12
After clearing the last chapter, you will come back to Fog Town, but now it is in the worst condition possible. In two of the previous chapters, your aim was to escape the Fog Monster. However, for this one, your objective would be to chase her. Expect to encounter plenty of monsters along the way, so follow my walkthrough for a smoother experience.
Dark Shrine Final Path – Chapter 13
In the game’s final chapter, you will be transported back to the Dark Shrine and make your way through several locations. Eventually, you will come across the final boss, who is pretty challenging to fight. Her movesets can be difficult, but my walkthrough breaks down each of her attacks and provides a step-by-step strategy to take her down.
