Sunken Engine Walkthrough & Guides Hub

Sunken Engine

Sunken Engine is a ship repair simulator, but it has a Lovecraftian horror twist to it. Your father died and left you his old shipyard on some creepy island. And now you’re stuck fixing boats while weird supernatural stuff happens around you. What makes this game interesting is that it’s not only about the repair work itself, but dealing with the fact that something is very wrong with this place. Your father apparently got trapped in a cursed book.

The basic loop is pretty straightforward. The ships arrive by fax machine. You accept the chop, and then the captain shows up. Each ship is usually a mess. You are cleaning up trash, scrubbing green gunk from the deck, scraping barnacles and shells, hammering bent metal parts back into shape, and fixing torn flags. The captains are slobs who leave dead birds, fishbones, bottles, and sometimes blood everywhere.

You throw all the garbage into an incinerator and get paid when the work is done. There’s a side business where you can sell the stuff you scrape off ships that barnacles turn out to be oysters with pearls inside. Plus, there are starfish and shells. You collect these in a box and sell them at a little stall to customers who randomly show up. It’s extra income since the economy in this town is rough, and you need to support your family.
