007 First Light – Time To Die Walkthrough

007 First Light

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough covering the Time To Die mission of 007 First Light.

After the mess Bond and Greenway caused at Webb Industries, Sir Nicholas uses the incident to blackmail MI6. Not only did they sneak in and get caught, they also left without securing any evidence.

As a result, M offers them a chance to redeem themselves by gathering proof of Webb’s activities and helping him shut it down.

Back To MI6

After what happened at Webb Industries and the truth you uncovered, Bond heads back to the headquarters in order to inform them about what he found.

Moneypenny is waiting for him at the entrance to take him to a secret location to discuss things privately, because this is too big. Follow her, and she will take you to a secret floor where M is waiting for you.

M is furious because Webb sent her the footage of Bond and Greenway paying him a visit without MI6 knowing. The worst part of it is that they left with no physical proof, only what they saw.

Instead of handing you over, M sends you on a black op to collect the proof you need to bring down the Webbs. Follow Moneypenny toward the lift, and then go visit Q at his lab.

What we know so far is that Damien is heading to Vietnam, specifically to the exclusive resort, the Pearl. This is where you come in, Mr. St. John Smythe, a playboy billionaire who happens to be at the same resort.

Q is expecting you, as he has prepared your usual tactical tools for use. You can set up your loadout here and pick up the service pistol, this time with a silencer. We went with the trustworthy Laser Strip and Dart Phone.

Go To The Villa

You will arrive in Vietnam, and Bond will be riding a boat to reach the resort. As you dock, the staff will be waiting for your arrival and will show you to your villa.

Follow the concierge as you make your way to the villa, where there is a package waiting for you. When you arrive, make your way to the upper floor of the villa, and you will find the package in your bedroom.

It includes the Q-Glasses, which Moneypenny can use to see everything you see and record or confirm the target, including the Q-Trak, which we will need later.

When you are done exploring the villa, head outside and follow the concierge to the reception. Bond will try to flirt with a visitor who is trying to check in, but Moneypenny interrupts him so he can focus on the ledger.

Plant Q-Tracks

Moneypenny will successfully scan three profiles that fit Caliban’s M.O.: Roman Hernandez, Theresa Lorca, and Ellis White.

You can ask some of the staff around about your targets to get clues about where you might find them.

Locate Ellis White

Head down toward the Velvet Lantern bar; you can follow the signs to reach it. When you do, eavesdrop on the conversation of the couple sitting by the booth. They mention that White can be found at the Ocean View Bar.

Moneypenny will mark the location for you, so you need to head there. At the entrance, you will need to have an invite before you get in. Fortunately for you, two women will come out of the bar with invites in their pockets.

In order to obtain one, wait for them until they take a seat on the chairs nearby. To your left, you will be able to turn on the hose. This will activate the water and distract the two, allowing you to quickly fetch yourself an invite.

Show the staff the invite and go inside the bar; you will find Ellis White and his friends by the bar. It seems that our man is in need of more drinks, and it happens that Bond is here to help.

Serve Ellis A Drink

Follow Jonty so he can show you where the keys to the mini-bar are. They are inside the storage room behind the bar, and there are a few ways to reach them.

We used the Dart Phone on the barman by the entrance of the storage room to the left in order to distract him, and then we got inside. You will find two workers speaking to each other.

Sneak behind the blue water tank and turn the hose on. This will distract both of them, and you can make it to the other side. You will find the keys hanging on the closet.

Head back to Jonty, and the two of you will make your way back to Ellis. As promised, you will offer him a drink.

We picked the Tequila Slammer, and we slid the Q-Trak into it. This seems to work flawlessly, and that is one target down.

Locate Theresa Lorca

Head to the Tranquility Platform by following the signs, and eavesdrop on the conversation of the people working out. They will mention that Lorca is at the Serenity Space.

Moneypenny will mark the location for you, so head there. When you are about to enter, the staff will stop you and inform you that the place is full. You need to make space so you can enter.

You can hack the radio behind the desk in order to disturb the two guests sitting next to it. It will work, and you will be able to go and have a nice chat with Theresa.

Locate Roman Hernandez

We know that Roman Hernandez is inside his villa, but we need to find a way to gain access. There are a few ways to sneak inside, and we picked the creative one here, completely by accident.

Head to the Tranquility Cave, which is underground, and eavesdrop on the conversation of the man speaking on the phone. He will mention something about the yoga mat in the storage room.

Bond can disguise himself as Hernandez’s yoga instructor, but we first need to get our hands on the mat. The key to the storage room is on the guy who was speaking on the phone.

Stun the man using the Dart Phone or the Laser Strip, and pickpocket the key from him. Unlock the door and go inside, where you will find the mat. You can also mess with the music by interacting with the computer.

With your new disguise, head to the Hung Villa, which will be marked on your map. They will let you through and you can gain access. Get to the upper floor, and you will find Roman with his guards on alert.

Bond tries to reason with him, but it seems that it does not work. Then Moneypenny asks you to mention Aqua Verde. Somehow this convinces him, and he will give you a chance to speak.

You hand him the Q-Trak, and he takes it willingly. All Q-Traks are live, and you have three hours to spare before Damien arrives.

One Last Thing

Bond takes the time to enjoy the resort, going to relax by the swimming pool and enjoy the view. Just when he was about to enjoy his cocktail and take a moment to himself, the Q-Trak picks up something.

Lorca’s heart rate is spiking and her oxygen levels are falling through the floor. Bond needs to run to check on her.

Get To Lorca’s Villa

Run toward Lorca’s Villa and go inside, and to your surprise, she will be fine. It seems the cause of the alert is that she was trying to break a record on how much time she can hold her breath underwater, basically free diving.

Well, Bond fancies Theresa, and since they have time together now, he can at least finally enjoy himself. Anyways, moving on.

Join The Party

Nighttime comes and Damien is on his way with his men. Bond is dressed for the party, but he seems to be missing the bowtie. To my surprise, Bond does not know how to tie a bowtie.

Tie A Bowtie

Q will be on the line to give you instructions on how to make a nice-looking bowtie. You will need to press some buttons in order to complete this section.

With Bond having finally learned how to tie a bowtie, he is ready to crash the party.

Head To The Emperor Villa

Exit your villa and make your way to Theresa at the Emperor Villa. Along the way, you will encounter Roman with his men. The Q-Trak will pick up Lorca’s heart rate again, and it is through the roof. Something is wrong this time.

As you arrive at the Emperor Villa, you will notice that Damien and his men have already made it there, and his men are spread around. The entrance is blocked, and you need to find another way around.

Go from the left and climb up to get inside. Here, you can either sneak past the enemies, use the suppressed weapon to take them down, or beat them up; it is your choice. The goal is to make it to the rooftop.

At the rooftop, you will notice that Damien and Murto have their hands on Lorca and White. Poor Ellis just got into the wrong side of the narrative, and now Bond has to save him before he gets the girl.

Save Ellis

Ellis is being held at the wine cellar of the villa, so you need to make your way there. Many guards are roaming inside the villa, and it is up to you how to deal with them.

Once you arrive, take the ladder down and kick the door, then quickly get rid of the two people guarding him. Just when Bond tries to listen to the earpiece of one of the guards, Ellis wakes up and tries to attack Bond.

Just when we went through all the trouble to save him, he thought we were with the enemy, so we just needed to beat him down and put him back to being unconscious.

Save Theresa

Moneypenny will mark the location of where Theresa is being taken; follow it. You will arrive at the bar area where there are enemies around. You can get rid of them stealthily if you want.

Keep following the objective marker, and from a distance, you will spot Theresa being held by Murto. Bond ziplines down to the house where she is being held.

Defeat Murto

It is about time to get rid of the second twin, and this is where you will fight him. Just like any other melee boss fight, handle him any way you see fit. Use grab attacks, parry his attacks, counter-attack, and so on.

Just when you are about to win, you kick him through the flames and hurry to save Theresa.

Bond puts her outside of the burning house through the window, and it seems that Murto is not dead yet; he is just asking for more of a beating.

Get rid of him quickly, and then escape the burning house through the window. This will cause Bond to lose consciousness.

Distract Damien

The moment you wake up, you will find yourself tied up on a marble stone. Damien and his men got to you, and now he is willing to kill you in the most brutal way.

He will hack the saw machine using your Q-Watch, and all you have got to do now is buy some time and distract him. You will have a few dialogue options to pick from.

This is the one we picked:

  • MI6 knows everything. This is all your father’s fault. Don’t do this.

Just when we thought we were done for, a sniper will arrive and start shooting, which will cause them to leave the site. This is Greenway, and he finally came back to his senses.

Reach Greenway

With no gun, no Q-Watch, no nothing, and your hands handcuffed, you will need to reach Greenway and go through the quarry.

Thankfully, you can command Greenway to shoot explosives for you to clear the path. At the end of the path, you will reunite with Greenway, and he will get rid of the handcuffs for you.

Pursue Damien

Now you need to pursue Damien and stop the lunatic Webb son. Greenway has you covered from the high ground, and now you are ready to fight your way through.

Moneypenny will manage to track Damien’s location, but you will need to survive through the quarry, as there are a lot of enemies guarding the path.

At some point, the enemies will corner Greenway, and you will need to find a way to help him. You will notice a construction vehicle nearby. Climb up the ladder, knock down the enemy there, and ride it through the quarry.

Pick up Greenway along the way and keep following Damien’s tracks. You and Greenway will split up, as he tries to hold the enemy while Bond goes after Webb junior.

Defeat Damien

It is time to fight Damien after he used his liquid to make himself stronger, which means regular punches will not work. Here, you will need to back off, throw a rock, land a few strikes, and repeat a couple of times.

In the next section, you will need to use the lights to blind Damien and stun him so you will be able to hit him. Repeat that a few times until you get his health low.

Bond will finally get rid of Damien, and he will make sure to finish him off by sending down some metal tubes. Now Bond needs to go back and check on Greenway.

Check On Greenway

Greenway will be bleeding and looking rough after dealing with so many of Webb’s men. Bond tries to get him out of here, but Greenway asks him to sit down and enjoy the view.

Bond does as he is told, for once, but this is the sad part. Greenway just wanted to spend the last of his minutes with James before he fades away. His last words are: “Don’t let it change you. Don’t let it.”

Bond sits there, sad and miserable. He keeps losing his friends, and he cannot do anything about it.
