Introduction
Jane arrives at Mei Leech’s villa and rings the bell. She is greeted by Mei, who tells her about her stolen bracelet.

While Jane has to find Mei’s bracelet, her primary objective here is to dig deeper and find more about AWL’s boss, Vikram Kapoor. She’s looking for any leads here that would help her solve the mystery of her friend Emmy Dunnes’s death.

Interrogating Mei Leech
Now, before you do anything else, you have to interrogate Mei about everything. For now, you can ask her about the guests, the employees, and what happened exactly last night.

Asking her about the guests will reveal that her guests are all top-class people from around the world, and the fact that the thief is likely one of them.

Mei will say that all of her employees are trusted. They left at 7 pm and returned this morning after the theft had occurred. Mei will also tell you that she had asked the maid to discreetly look through the belongings of each guest to find the bracelet, but she didn’t find anything.

Further interrogation will reveal that Mei went to sleep at midnight and locked the door from inside. Mei had the bracelet at night, so someone must’ve taken it during the night, and before she woke up at 6 am.

Now, you have two objectives: First, you have to inspect Mei’s bedroom, and after that, you have to eavesdrop on the guests’ conversations and interrogate them.

Inspecting Mei’s Bedroom
As you approach Mei’s bedroom, you’ll find it locked. It means that Mei usually keeps her door locked at all times.

There are several objects of interest here that you can inspect. However, you’ll have to look under the bed to find the snake-shaped bracelet that Mei was looking for.

Once you’ve found the bracelet, bring it to Mei. Mei will reveal that it is a fake and has caused her arm to get red after she wore it for a bit, which is something the original one never did.

You’ll also have to inspect the lock to make sure it is working and no one can get in if the door is locked from the inside.

If you talk to Mei about the fake bracelet, it will give you two facts. The thief replaced it with a fake, and the thief likely didn’t keep the bracelet on them because the maid had already searched the guests’ room, and they wouldn’t dare to walk around while wearing it.

Meeting The Guests
As you head out to the main lounge, you’ll realize that most of these guests are the same as those in the Cocktail Party in Chapter 1.

Jane will talk to herself a little, and then she’ll have to make a choice if she wants to seek justice for Emmy, regardless of what she has to do, or she’ll believe in the judicial system and won’t stoop to any rogue methods.

We went with the option where she chooses not to stoop to such rogue methods and decides to believe in the judicial system to make Emmy proud.

The short cutscene will bring you downstairs. But you might’ve spotted some petals leading to the living room from one of the bushes. Go back upstairs and check on it.

After that, you have to go downstairs and eavesdrop on the conversation of the two ladies sitting near the pool.

You’ll have to sit at the drinks counter to begin eavesdropping. It will reveal that Mei went to swim in front of the guests, and she might have to take off the jewelry for that. It will also become clear that certain guests weren’t present while Mei was swimming.

The Broken Statue
You’ll then find Adele Allerton talking to her son near the pool. But you’ll have to head back inside Mei’s living room and go to the balcony to eavesdrop on the conversation.

Adele will be telling her son about how she heard a strange noise around 5:30 am. Tim says that he went to sleep at 5:00 am, so he didn’t hear anything.

If you go back inside the living room from the balcony, you’ll be able to spot certain items on a shelf nearby, next to the door leading to the lounge.

Among these objects, you’ll find the broken statue. It appears that someone tried to mend the broken statue and place it in such a way that it appears not broken unless you inspect it closely.

You can now make the connection with the statuette being broken with the breaking noise Adele Allerton heard at 5:30 am.

As you talk to the Allertons, you’ll figure out that certain guests were awake even after Mei had gone to sleep.

If you ask the Allertons about Mei’s swimming, they’ll tell you that Kapoor was also expected to join Mei, but he didn’t show up, and Tim also left because he wasn’t interested in watching Mei swim.

Interrogating More Guests
Interrogating Rosalie and Marie about last night’s event will reveal that Marie went to sleep shortly after Mei. However, Rosalie was up late and only went to sleep after escorting Tim to his room later at night.
Further interrogation will also reveal that Salome and Marie were not present while Mei went swimming. Salome was busy looking for Bowers, the nurse, who was also absent while Mei was in the pool.

This will unlock a golden puzzle node, where you have to piece together the guests that weren’t present while Mei went swimming and had the opportunity to get into Mei’s room.

Out of the seven suspects, you can safely rule out Rosalie and Adele Alletron, as both of them were present while Mei went swimming.

You’ll also find Vikram Kapoor lying on a chair near the swimming pool, but if you talk to him, he’s simply going to say that he’s ill and can’t talk.

Downstairs, you’ll find Salome Otterbourne and Elizabeth Bowers, her nurse, having a conversation. You can eavesdrop on them if you go upstairs and lean against the balcony, near where Vikram is.

Eavesdropping won’t reveal anything important about the case, but you can still interrogate them.

The interrogation will reveal that Salome went to sleep late at night, around 3:00 am. Meanwhile, Bowers also went to sleep early alongside Marie, but was woken up later at night by Rosalie around 4:45 am because Mr. Kapoor wasn’t feeling well.

Bowers stayed with Vikram Kapoor till morning because he was suffering from food poisoning.

Figuring Out Who Was Awake At Night
If you open the Mind Map, you’ll find a golden puzzle node. Interact with it and you’ll have to figure out who went to sleep when.

In this node, you’ll have to arrange the sleeping order of the guests. First, select Mei Leech, who went to sleep at midnight, and put it in the first slot.

In the second slot, you’ll have to put Marie, who went to sleep 20 minutes after Mei. Salome went to sleep at 3:00 am, and you’ll have to put her in the third slot.

For the fourth slot, you’ll have to put the fact that three people were still awake when Mrs Allerton went to sleep.
Vikram Kapoor and Miss Bowers were together after 4:45 pm because Mr. Kapoor was ill, and that would go in the fifth slot. For the final slot, you’ll have to put Rosalie and Tim, who both went to sleep at around 5:00 am.

After that, you have to select five people who could’ve gone to Mei’s room at night between 5:00 am to 6:00 am.

Here, you’ll have to select everyone except Bowers and Vikram Kapoor.

This will unlock another golden puzzle node. You have to choose which guests had the opportunity to go into Mei’s room while she was swimming, between 5:00 am to 6:00 am, or both.

The thief is likely the one who was absent during Mei’s swim and was awake between 5:00 am and 6:00 am.

Once you’ve sorted out the guests, you’ll have three prime suspects.

However, there are still a few pieces of the puzzle that you’ve yet to put together, and for that, you’ll have to head back to Mei’s bedroom.

Collecting The Remaining Puzzle Pieces
Go back to the Villa and talk to Mei. Mei will tell you that she didn’t take off the bracelet when she went swimming, but she left her bedroom unlocked for approximately 15 minutes.

You can also talk to her about the broken statuette, and Mei will tell you it was perfectly fine yesterday.

You will now be able to make the connection that Mei Leech always locks her door, but she left it open for 15 minutes, and the thief might’ve entered the room during this time.

Go back to the bedroom and inspect the window. It will be open from the inside. The thief likely left the window open while Mei was swimming, and later at night, they came through the window and stole the bracelet.

If you talk to Mei about the open window, she’ll tell you that she never opens the window. Now that we’ve figured out the most crucial piece of the puzzle, we can make the rest of the connections easily.

Making The Connections
First, select the purple node that says Mei never opens the window to her room, and pair it with the fact that the window was unlocked. You can deduce that the thief unlocked the window from the inside.

Next, you can pair the fact that the thief unlocked the window from the inside with the other fact that the thief might’ve entered Mei’s room while she was swimming.

After that, you can pair the fact that the bracelet was stolen while Mei was sleeping with the fact that the thief could’ve unlocked the window while Mei was swimming. You can deduce that the thief entered through the window at night to steal the bracelet while Mei was sleeping peacefully.

If you head to the lounge from the living room, you’ll find a few petals leading back to the living room.

You can make another connection here that the rose petals in the living room came from the rosebush under Mei’s window outside the living room.

This will unlock a golden puzzle node where you have to deduce where the bracelet might’ve been hidden. If the petals are leading back to the living room, it is likely that the bracelet is also inside the living room.

Finding The Bracelet
Go back inside the villa, and look for anything that might be used to hide the bracelet. If you look near the sofas, you’ll find a camera that doesn’t appear to be working.

Fixing The Camera
The camera doesn’t work. We’ll have to fix it. Fixing it can be a challenge, but you have to follow these steps to obtain the bracelet back.

Rotate the camera in a way that its underside is visible.

Unlock the hook that’s holding the right part of the camera.

Open the battery compartment, but you won’t find any battery inside. However, there are certain coordinates on the compartment’s cover. Note down the 18 x 2.5 because we’ll be needing it next.

Rotate the camera around, and focus on the lenses. Select 18 on the left dial, and x2.5 on the right dial. You don’t have to do anything more here.

Go back and pull down the compartment that you unlocked earlier and bring it down.

Rotate the camera a little and take the battery out of the compartment that you just brought down.

Open the empty battery compartment that’s under the camera, and place the battery inside it.
Now, you have to remove the cap on the front of the lens. Fortunately, the hint is right in front of you. Rotate the cap in the way that matches the pattern on the sticker on the camera.

Once the cap is undone, look at the back of the camera, and switch on the power button. This will cause certain shapes and numbers to appear on the tiny screen.

Note down the shapes and the number, and switch to the right side of the camera.

Here, you have to bring the switch on the right all the way down. The power rotator should be in the middle. The switch on the bottom-right side of the screen should be under the half-moon icon, which is the second one from the left.

Now, interact with the point of interest on the top-left corner of this entire side of the camera. You’ll be able to open it up and take out the bracelet.

You can then take the bracelet out and exit the camera puzzle.

Reconstructing The Crime Scene
After you’ve acquired the puzzle, you’ll be able to interact with a new golden puzzle piece in the Mind Map, which will allow you to reconstruct the crime scene.

In this reconstruction scene, you’ll only have the thief as the available character that you can assign to certain actions. Each time frame would have several actions, but you only have to concern yourself with what the thief is doing.

At 7:25 pm, set the thief as the one who enters through the door.

Around 7:27 pm, the thief unlocks the window from inside Mei’s room.

For the 7:29 pm time slot, you’ll have to assign the thief as the person who exits Mei’s bedroom.

At 5:24 am, the thief enters Mei’s bedroom through the window.

The thief steals the bracelet from inside Mei’s bedroom at 5:26 am.

At 5:28 am, the thief exits through the window.

The thief breaks the statuette at 5:30 am.

The thief then hides the bracelet inside the camera at 5:32 am.

While you’ve solved a part of the mystery, you still have to inquire more about Vikram Kapoor before you try talking to Mei to end the chapter.

Looking Into Vikram Kapoor
Vikram Kapoor refuses to talk to you directly, so you’ll have to look for his private bedroom.

Inspecting Vikram’s Bedroom
You’ll find Vikram’s bedroom on the lowest floor, so keep going downstairs until you find a bedroom with Vikram’s name tag on it.

There’s a suitcase to your left just as you enter the room.

You’ll first have to pick the lock by aligning the gap in the pins with the green line behind, and then rotate the keyhole to unlock the lock.

You’ll find a cassette inside the suitcase, alongside a letter that says AWL is looking for manpower for quick and discreet work.

Inspect the rest of the room, but you won’t find anything as interesting as the cassette you just obtained.

While you’re about to leave, Vikram will return to the room. You’ll have to hide somewhere quickly.

Look around, and you’ll find a huge oval-shaped chair, and hide inside it.

Vikram will head into the toilet after a while, leaving his jacket on the bed. You can obtain a note with a phone number on it from his jacket.

Now, you have to find a telephone to dial the phone number that you have just obtained. You can leave Vikram’s bedroom now.

Dialing The Phone Number
Head back to the villa and you’ll find a telephone next on the shelf, just left of the entrance to the villa from the lounge.

Dial the number 05 12 92 on the telephone, the number that was on the note.

Jane will receive an encrypted message on the call that sounds like gibberish at first.

Searching For Vikram Kapoor’s Car
Head out of the villa from the main gate. There are three cars here, including Jane’s.

You’ll find Vikram’s right next to Jane’s car. However, you have to identify the car by checking the number plate first.

Once you’re sure it’s Vikram’s car, you can try unlocking the trunk.

There’s a briefcase in the trunk. Pull it out, but it will be locked.

You can unlock the briefcase by rotating the number dials and stopping when you hear the click sound to get the correct code, which is 28469.

There’s a gun inside the briefcase, and once you’ve inspected it, you can leave it alone.

However, you’ll also find a hidden compartment inside the briefcase.

There are two letters here. One detailing a decrypted message, while the other is a task list.

Jane will find the name of someone called Spider in the task list, and judging from the document, it appears that this Spider was the one who killed Emmy Dunnes.

Inspecting The Car
Unlock the car and get into the driver’s seat.

You’ll have to first power up the car by picking the ignition lock.

There are several objects of interest here that you can inspect, but what you need is the audio cassette player.

Insert the suspicious audio cassette into the player and listen to the audio.

Connecting The Dots With Vikram Kapoor
Now that you’ve acquired all the pieces of the puzzle, you simply have to make the connections.

Select the document for a suspicious mission purple node from the Mind Map and link it with the document on Emmy’s murder, deducing the fact that Emmy’s killer is connected to AWL.

Pair the encrypted message on tape with the letter mentioning a bar in New York. Pairing these two connections will unlock a golden puzzle node, which will allow you to decrypt the message.

Use the two letters to find the meaning of the code words.

Once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to pair the decrypted version of the cassette with the encrypted message received from the phone number.

Similarly, you’ll get another golden puzzle node to decrypt the message on the phone.

It will be easy to decrypt now that you’ve got the decryption keys.

After encrypting the message, you will be able to make the final connection that AWL has scheduled a shipment from New York, and the Spider will be there on the 18th of February.

This will unlock the central golden node on Vikram Kapoor’s objective. You’ve done everything you need to do here, and now you can tell Mei Leech that you’ve found her bracelet.

Handing Over The Bracelet
You’ll find Mei in the living room of her villa. Jane will hand over her bracelet.

Jane will try to tell that she has narrowed down the list of suspects, but Mei Leech will stop her from saying anything more. She doesn’t want to find out who stole it.

After that, Jane will leave the villa, marking the end of Chapter 2.
