Interrogating The Passengers
Switch to Hercule Poirot and ask every passenger about the events of last night, and the pearl necklace, alongside the secret that you’ve discovered inside their rooms.
The important characters here are: Elizabeth Bowers, Cornelia Robson, Jacqueline de Bellefort, Simon Doyle, Dr. Bessner, and Yamao Hayashi.
As you interrogate the passengers, you’ll discover that some of them heard a splashing sound around 1:00 am. Poirot suspects that the sound might be related to the murder weapon being thrown into the Nile after the deed had been committed.
All the crew members have decent alibis, as most of them were together playing a role-playing game till late at night, which rules them out of the suspect list.

Interrogating Simon Doyle
Interrogating Simon Doyle will reveal that he was alone in the lounge for five minutes while Yamao Hayashi and Cornelia Robson went out of the lounge to get help.

Furthermore, while you’re interrogating him, Louise Bourget will come into the cabin. You can also interrogate her right now. She’ll say that if she had been awake and walking on the stairs, she might’ve seen the killer at night, but she didn’t and was peacefully sleeping all night.
After that, Louise will say that she’ll be in the saloon if you need her for further questioning.

Shortly after, if you talk to Simon, he’ll say he wants to see Jackie. The two of them will talk in private in Dr. Bessner’s cabin.

Rosalie Otterbourne’s Secret
Marie Van Schuyler will reveal that she saw Rosalie Otterbourne throwing something overboard at night around 1:10 am. If you confront Rosalie about this, she won’t accept anything without evidence.
So you’ll have to recover what was thrown under the Nile. Talk to Tarek, the steward, and he’ll tell you that there’s a clam rake in the store room that can be used to pick up objects thrown into the Nile.
You’ll have to switch to Jane Royce to use the rake near the restaurant. Once you’ve raked everything, it will reveal that a couple of alcohol bottles were thrown at night, which made the splashing noise.
Go to Salome Otterbourne’s room. There’s a tiny closet here. You can place the alcohol bottles inside, and you’ll find that the bottles do indeed belong to Salome Otterbourne, but were thrown out into the Nile by Rosalie Otterbourne.
Confronting Rosalie about the issue will make her ask Poirot to keep the fact that her mother has an alcohol addiction a secret. But if Rosalie didn’t throw the murder weapon, who did?

Was Hercule Poirot Drugged?
Speaking of alcohol, after last night, Poirot had been feeling exceptionally tired. He suspects that he was the only one who drank wine at dinner last night.
You’ll have to check if anything was mixed into his wine of choice. Go to the kitchen, and you’ll find three champagne bottles side by side.
Poirot will be conducting a Litmus test to confirm if his drink was tampered with. There will be certain items on the table that can be used to adjust the PH level of the drink.

Pour detergent into the drink until the PH level reaches 5. After that, use the absorbent paper to confirm that Poirot’s drink was indeed tampered with. This will reveal that the murder was premeditated.

The Pearl Necklace And Elizabeth Bowers
You’ve found Linnet’s pearl necklace in Bowers Cabin. If you confront Miss Elizabeth Bowers about it, she’ll say that she swapped the necklace from Marie Van Schuyler.
It will be revealed that Marie Van Schuyler is a kleptomaniac, and she often takes jewelry for herself and stores it inside the jewelry box in her room. Bowers said that she checks the jewelry box every morning to make sure she doesn’t steal anything important, and if she does, Bowers makes sure to return it.

Bowers will also reveal that she wanted to return the pearl necklace to the owner, but after Linnet’s death in the morning, she wasn’t allowed to enter Linnet’s cabin.
This will prompt Poirot to think whether the necklace is even real in the first place. There’s a picture of the real necklace that you found in Louise Bourget’s room. Match the necklace with the picture, and you’ll find out that it’s a fake.

The Pearl Necklace And Tim Allerton
Now that you know the necklace is fake and flawed, you might remember seeing something in Tim Allerton’s room about a flawed shipment of a package inside the hollowed book.
Approach Tim Allerton and question him about it. In the end, Tim will be forced to give you the head of the record player in his room.

Switch to Jane Royce and go to Tim Allerton’s room. Interact with the record player and put the head where it belongs.
Adjust the setting on the right side of the record player. Adjust the Grave to 5, AIGU to 2, Puissance to 8, and Balance to 3. After doing so, you’ll have to use this press these heart and cross buttons in this order: heart, heart, cross, heart, heart, heart, cross, cross.

This will unlock a hidden compartment in the record player, revealing the real pearl necklace. It appears that Tim Allerton had stolen it. Jane will also suggest that Mei Leech’s bracelet might also be stolen by Tim, as he was one of the three final suspects.

Piecing It Together For The Pearl Necklace
Now, you’ll be able to enter the mental reconstruction of the Pearl Necklace’s theft. You have to make it so that at night, Rosalie throws the bottles in the Nile.
That’s when Tim steals the real necklace, swiping it out with the fake one. After that, Marie Van Schyuler gets into Linnet’s room and steals the fake necklace.

The reconstruction will cause Poirot to believe that Rosalie may be lying about not seeing Tim Allerton when she was out on the deck to throw the alcohol bottles.
While you’re confronting Tim Allerton and Rosalie about the pearl necklace’s theft, another death occurs on the Karnak, and this time it’s Louise Bourget.

Louise Bourget’s Murder
It will be revealed that Louise Bourget’s throat was slashed by a sharp and thin object, likely a scalpel. There’s only one person with scalpels on this boat, and that’s Dr. Bessner.
If you inspect Louise’s body, it will be revealed that she was trying to blackmail the real murderer. There’s also a strange telegram on the desk. It looks like Louise was planning to blackmail another person.
The telegram belongs to Richetti. Jane will recognize the code words on the telegram, claiming that the telegram was addressed to the Spider.

Richetti will then quietly run away. Poirot suggests that Jane chase after Richetti as he’s the person she’s after. Jane will then leave the party to chase after Emmy’s killer, marking the end of the chapter.
