Chapter 8 is fairly shorter compared to other chapters in the game. Guido Richetti will run away to a village near the Temple of Abu Simbel.

The Chase
The chapter begins as Guido Richetti runs away from the Karnak on foot. He slashes the tires of Jane’s vehicle, so she has no choice but to run after him on foot.
Richetti will keep running and take a path near the temple of Abu Simbel leading to the village. You must not let him get too far away.
As Jane arrives in the village following Richetti, he’s nowhere to be found.
Inquiring The Neighborhood
Jane doesn’t know the local language, but her gestures are enough for the people to figure out that she’s looking for a man who just ran through here a while ago.
Most of the locals on your way as you enter the village will point in the direction that they saw the running man go.
After going through a few streets, you’ll find your path leading to a package delivery building.
The receptionist here will refuse to tell you anything, even if you tell him that you’re a detective. After being annoyed, Jane will break down the door and check what Richetti had asked the man to deliver.
There’s a telegram on the back of the room. Richetti is desperate; he didn’t encrypt the message on this one. He’s asking for help and is saying that he’ll be staying at the Red Salamander.
Searching For The Red Salamander
There’s nothing in the town that could help you find this location more easily. You’ll have to manually check each building to find if it has a red salamander on it.
Fortunately, the village is quite small. Find the grocery seller and look for a path behind him.
You’ll find a dark blue-colored house with stairs. Go up the stairs and find a way forward. There will be another staircase shortly ahead, and this one will be of a light-blue color.
As you go down the second staircase, turn around to find the red salamander drawn on the wall of the house.
Facing Off Against Richetti
First, you’ll have to lockpick the door. Once you’ve done that, Jane will automatically walk into the house and find Richetti. He appears to be startled by seeing Jane here.
Now, Jane is frozen in place. There are multiple objects that you can use on the screen. However, if you pick anything other than the handgun, Richetti will simply reach for it instead and shoot you with it.
Go for the handgun. Jane will beat Richetti to it. Richetti will still try to run away, escaping the house and finding a jeep to run away in.
Jane will be shooting at him, causing the jeep to become sabotaged, and Richetti will also become injured in the process.
After that, Richetti will be running away on foot, bleeding from the shot that he took in the back. You’ll have to chase him all the way to the temple of Abu Simbel.
Abu Simbel
The sun sets as Jane enters the temple, causing it to become dark. Fortunately and conveniently, Jane has a flashlight. You’ll have to spot the blood splatters on the floor to follow Richetti around in the dark.
After going in circles inside the temple, Richetti will finally decide to go to the cornice. Take the staircase leading to the cornice, and you’ll be attacked by Richetti at the top.
Jane tries to fight back and eventually succeeds in subduing Richetti. Jane will the question Richetti about Emmy, and it will reveal that Richetti was indeed the one who murdered her, but the order came from much higher up.
Now, you’ll have a choice: you can either help Richetti up or not. Your choice here will affect the ending, so you’ll have to be careful. We went with the option to help Richetti.
Once you’ve made the decision, the chapter will end. The next chapter will then resume the story on the Karnak.
