Akatori: Walkthrough Part 2 – Storage Facility and Takatsugi

Welcome to our Akatori Storage Facility walkthrough.

Mako is in the Amber Castle with the military scientists, but unfortunately, the Amber Storm has already affected one of them. And to escape the castle in the other realm, we need to visit the Storage Facility, and there, we’re met with our first boss: Turtle.

Akatori Storage Facility — **In The Storage Facility.**

After defeating Turtle and freeing Akatori, we get a staff, which allows Mako to stick to walls. From the boss arena, go right and jump on the wall to use your staff. As soon as Mako hangs on it, jump again to grab the edge and climb it.

Move forward and get to the Guide Stone by jumping on the walls with your staff. Descend into the cave, hit the lever to your left, and return to the arena to find the ground exposed. Drop into the hole and hit the next lever to use the elevator. As the elevator descends deeper, we receive a new objective: Find the Emergency Exit. Fight the enemies that approach you, and when the elevator stops, go left.

There’s a Chaos Bell to your left. If you keep defeating enemies, a purple meter at the top will be charged, indicating the enemies are far stronger now. However, surviving the fights and hitting the Chaos Bell with a complete meter will give you a new ability; every bell is different.

Interact with the bell to transport into another realm. Defeat all the enemies there, then talk to the NPCs to unlock the new ability: Dodge and Counterattack.

Now, leave the realm and go left to find a new room. Ascend the staircase, roll through the wall, and climb to the top while defeating the enemies. Hit the lever, but it doesn’t work as it is broken. Akatori then tells us about how we can manifest the staff into multiple things. So, Mako decides to use it as a throwable spear.

Right-click to throw the spear at the lever far from the activation point, then take the platform to the other corner of the room. Go left at the bottom, descend the staircase, and activate the Guide Stone. Then go left and read the logbook to learn about the recorded incidents at Amber Castle.

Akatori mentions that the Storage Facility may have been used to guard or hide from something. So, inspect the wall to your left, and you will receive the ability to charge your attacks. Keep hitting the dummy until your charge meter is full, then hold left-click at the highlighted wall to break it.

Go through the wall to enter a prison where Akatori’s subordinate, Takatsugi, was captured. However, he managed to escape, and Akatori thinks he’s going to avenge his capture. Leave the prison from the left exit and stand on the moving elevator to go above. From here, go left and jump into the minecart to reach the emergency exit.

Continue following the tracks after the minecart reaches its location until you find the emergency exit, then use the staff to open it. However, when Mako tries to find the military scientists, Amber has already affected them. Now that you’re alone, you have to return to where you came from: The Lake.

Before climbing to the entrance, go left from the emergency exit to find a boss called The Wasp. By defeating it, you will unlock the Air Dash ability. Climb the platforms, defeat the enemies, go right, and break the wall to finally exit the caves.

With the Air Dash ability, jump over the huge gap on the ground and dash away to efficiently cross it. Keep moving left to reach the lake and interact with the golden circle to talk to Abbot. However, when Mako calls him out, he doesn’t reply from the real world.

Akatori then helps Mako by telling her to pierce the portal with her staff to teleport herself. Interact with the portal, and you’ll return to the real world.

Fire In The Monastery

The sky is fiery red. Mako says the Monastery is burning, and according to Akatori, Takatsugi is the cause of it. Go left from the lake to reach the Monastery. It’s on fire, and everyone is unconscious. Suddenly, a man with the hat returns; he is Takatsugi.

To avenge everyone, Akatori tells us to take him down for good. Takatsugi is an extremely nimble boss who is comprised of four different moves.

In the beginning, he will dash away and throw bombs at us. As soon as they hit the ground, stay away from them, as they’ll explode. Staying close to him is the key to victory. However, if he bows his head and holds his sword, Takatsugi is preparing to rush-slash. To avoid it, jump above him and then keep attacking him.

As his health depletes, he uses three rush-slashes in a row and throws a shockwave at you; all of them can be avoided by jumping. So, keep hitting Takatsugi, avoid his attacks, and you will be able to defeat him.

Once he’s defeated, talk to him. Eventually, he will pass away, and you will receive a health upgrade. Suddenly, another earthquake hits the Monastery, which makes Mako unconscious. When she wakes up, talk to Abbot again for one last conversation. He calls himself a failure for not being able to protect his people and for imprisoning Akatori.

Just as he tries to tell us something, he passes away. Mako tells Akatori to revive Abbot, but it’s impossible in his bird form. She calls him a useless idol and throws the staff away.
