The Bishop’s First Task
You need to build a Recipes Desk in the Library and Create a Recipe with the Light Ale Style.

Build a Recipes Desk in the Library
Click on Place Furniture.

Then “Library” and then “Recipes Desk”.

Place it in any of the four available spaces in the library.
Create a Recipe with the Light Ale Style
Click on the recipes desk and click “New Recipe”
Click “Create a new recipe”. Later on, you can use researched recipes as a base for new ones to make ale quicker.
Click “Select Style” and then “Light Ale”. Click the green tab (called next for the rest of the walkthrough) on the right to proceed to selecting ingredients.

Click “Pale Malt” and “Standard Yeast” and click next. Select a Fermantine from the next screen. I went with Maude because she gave +3 Quality Bonus compared to Ferdinand’s +2.

Next, name your ale.
Tip: You can pause the game and speed up the game at any time.
Once the research is done, the Bishop will give you 120 Florins.
The Bishop’s Second Task

The Bishop wants you to “Build a Dormitory” and “Build a Bunk Bed in the Dormitory.”
Build a Dormitory
Click on Build Room and select Dormitory.

Notice the construction cost and the upkeep cost. Place the Dormitory either by the Library or the Brewery.
Build a Bunk Bed in the Dormitory
Once the building is complete, place a bunk bed from the Place Furniture tab.

This will complete the Bishop’s Second task.
You will receive 150 Florins.
The Bishop’s Third Task

This task has four parts – you have to “Build a Basic Brewing Stove in the Brewery”, “Build a Basic Fermenter in the Brewery”, “Brew A Light Ale”, “Sell a Light Ale to the Market”.
Build a Basic Brewing Stove in the Brewery
Click on the Furniture tab and then on Brewery and finally select Basic Brewing Stove.

Build a Basic Fermenter in the Brewery
Once that is done select a Basic Fermenter and place it in the Brewery.

Brew A Light Ale
Now click on the Basic Brewing Stove and select New Brew.

Select Light Ale and the recipe you named earlier.
Tip: Notice which market has a high demand for which recipe. In this case Hopfendorf really likes Light Ale.
Tip: When a Fermentine brews a Recipe for the first time, the Ale will achieve a Quality generated within the Recipe’s Quality Range. When the Fermentine brews that Ale again, it will always achieve the same base Quality but its modifiers might change. Therefore it’s a good idea to have Fermentines with higher Quality Range to create the recipe.
I chose Maude because to brew the recipe because she had a lower infection probability.

Select the quantity you want. I went for the max. Wait for the brewing process to finish.
Sell a Light Ale to the Market
Once the brew is complete – select the quality meter.

Next select the market you want to sell at – for now only Hopfendorf is available.

Select your selling price, the higher the price the lower the appeal. Pick a middle ground for now.
This will complete the task and you will receive 150 Florins and 1 Fame.

Research Cellar
If you click on the Research tab and check the Research points needed to research Cellar, you will find that you need 25 Research Points.

Which means at your current rate, you need roughly 12 shifts at the Escritoire with just one researcher. This is a good time to use the game speed controls. Once you have the points, click ‘Research’ and obtain the Cellar.
Build a Staircase underground
Click “Build Rooms” and create a staircase underground.

Build a Cellar
Click on Build Rooms, click on Cellar, and build one.

Ensure Comfort is a minimum value of 31%
Click on Place Furniture and place the Painting, Globe and Flower on a vase around the monastery.

The comfort level should be at 34%.

Completing this should get you +200 Florins, +1 Fame and +1 satisfaction to all Fermentines.
This will complete all of the Bishop’s tasks for now.
