After you complete the prologue section of the From the Ashes expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, So’lek will need to check on the other Na’vi at Hometree.
Unfortunately, you are on your own on this journey, and you just lost all your weapons and health upgrades, so you start from scratch.
While you may not be as powerful as you once were, this time you will gain it all back, and what drives you is another revenge waiting for the RDA and the Mangkwan clan.

Alone Quest
Since you don’t want to go waltzing into Hometree knowing that it’s filled with the RDA, your first objective will be to make your way to the huge arc that can be seen from anywhere.
Call your Ikran and make your journey there. Here, you will find a great view of Hometree, but unfortunately, it is not the pleasant place that it once used to be.
It’s all ruined, filled with fire and smoke, with RDA all over the place. So’lek has no other choice but to get close and check on the others.
Go To The Hometree
Take your Ikran again to get closer to Hometree but do not fly there, as the RDA has a new sonic device system that can distract your Ikran and cause you to fall from it.
Once you get closer, dismount your Ikran. You will be able to see the new RDA base that takes place at the entrance of the Hometree.
This concerns So’lek and he tried to contact Ri’nela through the radio. Unfortunately, he gets no response so he will just have to make his way to the inside.
Given that you are weak and only have your basic bow, there is no room for you to fight all the RDA now, so your best bet is to sneak around.
You can use your Na’vi senses and mark all enemies you see so you will keep an eye on them.
Infiltrate The RDA And Check Inside Hometree
The best way is to try to sneak from the side of the outpost and make your way to the base of the Hometree. You will find one AMP Assault guarding the tree entrance, but this one you can use a finisher on to gain access.
Go inside and use the lift in order to make yourway to the upper floor. Make sure you crouch immediately, as two RDA enemies will be talking to each other.
Take them out using your bow. You can even use the slow motion to easily headshot both of them. Keep progressing forward inside the Hometree and make your way to the upper floor balcony.
Eventually, you will be able to see some Mangkwan harassing the Na’vi, but there is nothing you can do for them now. Keep heading up until you exit to the balcony.
Defeat The Mangkwan Raider
Once you make it out, a cutscene will play where you see a member of the Mangkwan clan harassing an old Na’vi, and this is where you step in. Here you will be presented with your first fight against one of the Mangkwan raiders, Kirahe.
Kirahe uses an assault rifle as his main weapon along with grenades, and he moves a lot. So make sure you use cover as much as possible, as you only have your bow to fight against him.
You should have some grenades, so toss them in his direction to deal extra damage. Another tip is to use the slow motion in order to land a few headshots.
When you get close to defeating Kirahe, a cutscene will play where he unfortunately kills the old man. This drives So’lek mad and he decides to kill Kirahe as soon as possible.
He takes his knife and delivers a deadly blow that puts the Mangkwan in his place.
Warrior Senses Skill Unlocked
Filled with revenge, So’lek gains a new ability called Warrior Senses, which basically lets his anger take over and he enters a berserk state where he deals a lot of damage, highlights all enemies around, and takes less damage.
In this state, you will take the assault rifle and blaze your way through every RDA you find in this facility. Make sure you defeat each and every single one of them that is standing in your way.
Eventually, another Mangkwan Raider, Si’net, will be delivered by one of the RDA plans, and you will need to fight it.
The fight is similar to the previous one, but given there will also be other RDA enemies, it’s better to take it safe.
Around the facility, there will be a lot of ammo to grab, healing resources, and arrows, so use your Na’vi senses to highlight them and get them if needed.
Leave The Hostile Area
After you fight with the raider, finish her off, call your Ikran, and leave the Hometree. Alma will contact you and ask about what you have done so far.
Meanwhile, you need to prepare yourself before moving on, as you need to upgrade your gear at least once and then cook a meal.
Simply open the character menu and select any piece of equipment you want to upgrade. At the bottom, you will be able to see the materials needed to upgrade that piece of equipment.
Now for cooking, head back to So’lek’s home. There you will find a cooking station similar to the one in the base game; interact with it. Select any two ingredients, and you will get a new dish.
After you complete both of these steps, Alma will contact you and ask about the state of the other Sarentu. Unfortunately, you still have no news and will be urged to find them when you can.
This will complete the Alone quest, and you will move on to the next one called the Burning Mountains.
The Burning Mountains Quest
The second quest, the Burning Mountains, requires you to find Teylan, who is somewhere in the Ikran Rockery.
During your radio call with him, Teylan will mention that you can’t just fly to the top of the Rockery because the RDA are here, and they have snipers and sonic defense units, which means you basically can’t fly your Ikran around.
This means that you need to start the climb from the bottom all the way to the top. So make your way south and follow the objective marker.

From here on, all you will need to do is follow the objective marker and keep climbing up using the lifts and vines, avoiding the RDA that you encounter on the way.
Eventually, you will reach the Ikran nest and see it burning to ashes. Make your way there.
As So’lek approaches the nest, you will see Etuwa held captive by the Mangkwan Na’vi while the other one is torturing Talu, her Ikran.
This emotional scene makes So’lek mad because he knows the bonding between the Na’vi and their Ikran is strong.
Rakx keeps teasing Etuwa and torturing the Ikran, but at some point, she will just stab it with the spear and deliver a final blow.
This action forces Etuwa to scream from sadness, and So’lek just can’t hold it anymore and rushes the two Mangkwans.
As soon as he rushes, the Mangkwan will throw Etuwa from the cliff, but So’lek is close by. He holds her and calls his Ikran in order to land safely.
Etuwa Sadness
Together they go back to the Highmost Seat Camp where other Na’vi are present. Etuwa loses it at this point because she witnessed the cruel act against her Ikran.
In a second, her eyes fill with rage and she rushes to seek revenge. So’lek recognizes the anger in her eyes, but he warns her that this isn’t the proper way to act on it.
Etuwa, in her sadness, admits that, but they need to stop this insanity and work together. This will complete the Burning Mountains quest, and we’ll stop our walkthrough here, for now.
