Welcome to Into Indie Games’ Bramble: The Mountain King walkthrough, where you’ll learn how to clear the game’s puzzles and make progress throughout the game.

Children’s Room
Bramble: The Mountain King begins in a children’s room. This scene is fairly simple. To progress in it, you must interact with the various points of interest in the room.
The only exception here is the bedside table, where you’ll find a box of matches. This has no consequence and can be skipped. That said, it serves to familiarize you with the object manipulation controls of the game, which you will require later in the game.
There is a rather strange piece of artwork hanging on the wall between the window and the bed. Interact with it to have a closer look. There doesn’t seem to be anything else you can do with it, but you are required to interact with it to have a closer look.
There are a few toy soldiers on the bookshelf to the right of the window. Examine the bookshelf and then interact with the toy soldiers to have Olle set them up properly.
There are height markings on the wall to the left of the door. Interact with them to find out the names and ages of the protagonists of Bramble: The Mountain King. You’ll play as Olle, who’s looking for his sister Lillemor.
There’s the red door itself, of course, which you must interact with for a very fleeting cutscene.
And finally, there’s the storybook at the bottom-right of the screen. Interact with the storybook and be sure to flip through all of its pages to proceed. You can view the storybook as many times as you like, but you must flip through the complete book at least once.
Once you have completed all of the required interactions, you will be able to interact with the window. Do so now to proceed to the next screen.
