Welcome to our walkthrough for Bye Sweet Carole. Chapter 4 ends on a haunting note, leaving more questions than answers. In search of the truth, Lana Bennet ventures beyond the safety of Bunny Hall and into forbidden grounds.

Let’s see what secrets lie ahead as she steps into Bunny Hall Park.

Exploring The Park

After the cutscene, inspect the device up ahead. This is a an electrical generator, but it’s not powered. Note that the generator is marked as 2.

Continue forward and shimmy along the ledge to get across the small pond. You’ll find another generator here. This one is marked 1 and unlike the previous one, it’s powered and the wires from the generator is electrifying the water below.

Just past the generator, you’ll see a bucket hanging over a hole by a rope.

Take a step forward to see a small cutscene of the letter landing on the antenna above the tower up ahead.

Take a few more steps to the right to see the girls riding away in a cable car.

Go up the ladder. Note the generator number 4 nearby as you go up.

When you reach the top, you’ll see door that’s electrically locked. You’ll also see four lights above the shutter. Only the first light is on. To turn on the rest of the lights, you’ll have to power all the generators in the area.

Head back down the stairs and run to the right, past the generator. There’s a small tunnel blocked off by wooden beams. Press R1 to break them loose.

Transform into your bunny form and head through the tunnel.

Go down a set of stairs on the other side to find generator number 3.

Head all the way to the right to find an old mailbox. You’ll also see a switch and a crank nearby. Inspect the wall on the right. Lana says that the wall is collapsing, but it’ll take more than a kick to bring it down. You can also see some cables on the other side of the wall.

Retrieving The Letter

Interact with the crank. This will allow you to move the crane to the top part of the area.

Rotate the crank clockwise to move the crane to the right. Position it over the crate on the platform.

Let go of the crank and press the switch on the right. This will activate the crane, and it’ll grab the crate.

Rotate the crank counterclockwise to pull the crate all the way to the left. Then press the switch again to drop it. Move out of the way before the crate falls on your head.

Push the crate to the left and position it below the ladder above you.

Transform into the bunny form and press Square to jump up and grab the ladder.

Make your way to the top. Shimmy along the ledge on the left.

You’ll see two switches once you cross the ledge. The first button operates the cable car, but it won’t work till you power the generators.

Press the second switch to lift the security gate on the left, and drop the ladder down to open a shortcut.

Walk towards the antenna to trigger the cutscene. The letter flies away and goes through the hole in the ground. But on the bright side, Mr. Baesie comes flying in to lend a hand.

Unlike the last chapter, this time you can use both Mr. Baesie’s Head and his complete form. Press Touchpad to switch to Mr. Baesie. He can attack using his umbrella and jump. Pressing Square disjoints his head, allowing you to solve puzzles using Baesie’s Head.

Powering the Generators

Once the cutscene ends, switch to Mr. Baesie. Press Square to turn into Head form and run all the way to the old mailbox.

Switch back to his complete form, and use R1 to hack at the wall. The wall will break.

Switch to Lana and pick up the Electric Cable on the other side of the wall.

Make your way back to the starting location of the chapter. Use the cables with the generator 2. Lana will attach the cables and drop them into the electrified water to power the generator.

Switch to Mr. Baesie, and jump into the pool of electrified water. This will temporarily switch his state.

Now quickly run to generators 3 and 4, in that order, to reactivate the two remaining generators.

This will trigger another cutscene. All four lights above the shutter turn on, and the door unlocks. The cutscene ends with Lana heading into the cave.

The Quarry

After entering the cave, you’ll see an elevator. Use it to head down.

As soon as you get down, another cutscene triggers, and the door to the cave’s entrance closes, cutting you off from Mr. Baesie. You’ll also receive the Quarry Key.

Unlock the door on the right using the Quarry Key and head inside.

Head inside and jump across the gap in your bunny form.

Inspect the device nearby. It’s a kerosene generator, and you have to figure out a way to power it.

Take a few steps forward and you’ll see a small cutscene of a new monster. This one moves under the surface and will attack you if you’re not standing near a light source.

Thankfully, the quarry is filled with lamps that you can light up using the Matchbox in your inventory.

Head right to spot a ladder going up. Climb up the ladder and press Square to get on the ledge.

You’ll spot a device with a crank that you can use. It’s a kerosene dispenser.

Go back down and continue past the ladder to find a crank.

Rotate the crank clockwise to drop a crate on the left. It’ll also open the hatch on the right and create a ladder that you can use to go down. However, the ladder on the left will go out of reach at the same time.

Run to the crate and push it all the way to the left. You need to drop it through the hole, left of the kerosene generator.

It drops to the lower level.

Head to the right side of the floor and go down using the ladder. Light the lamp quickly before the monster can reach you.

There’s a pump up ahead. Inspect it and note the hole in the ground.

Continue heading right to spot the crate that you dropped from the upper floor. You’ll also notice a switch on the wall. We’ve marked it in the image above.

For now, continue heading left while lighting up the lamps. At the far end of the room, you’ll spot an Empty Tank on the shelf. Pick it up.

Now head towards the crate and push it to the right. Position it under the switch and get on top of it. Interact with the switch to shift the pipe on the kerosene pump to the right.

Head back to the pump and use the Empty Can to place it underneath the pipe.

Now head back up and make your way back to the kerosene dispenser on the top floor. You’ll have to use the crank on the middle floor to use the ladder. Interact with the crank on the dispenser and rotate clockwise to fill up the Empty Tank with 1 liter of kerosene.

Return to the pump and pick up the Kerosene Tank.

Return upstairs and head towards the kerosene generator. Use the Kerosene Tank with the generator to power it on. This will unlock the door on the left of the elevator.

Turn into your bunny form and jump across the gap on the left. Continue heading left to get to the room with the elevator. Interact with the device on the table.

Once the light turns green, head left through the open door.

The Tar Scourge

When you enter the next room, Lana finds the letter on the ground up ahead. But suddenly the shutter closes behind her as rotten rabbits start to appear all around the cave. Thankfully, Mr. Baesie also glides into the chamber from above.

This segment of the game has you playing as Mr. Baesie. Your goal is to protect Lana from the rotten rabbits while she looks for the crank.

Just stick close to Lana and use R1 to attack the rabbits as they are about to attack. You can also press Circle to do a 360-degree jump attack.

Eventually, a giant hand comes and grabs Lana. Hit the hand as much as possible. But it’ll still pull her away to the left.

Run to the hand and keep attacking it.

Eventually, it’ll let Lana go. Keep defending her as she looks for the crank. This time, you’ll also face some tougher enemies that take multiple attacks to bring down.

When Lana finally finds the crank, she runs towards the center of the room and uses it on the device. That’s when the health bar for the Tar Scourge appears.

The Tar Scourge is the first boss fight of the game, and while it sounds intimidating, the boss isn’t really too difficult. He remains burrowed underground for most of the fight.

When he comes up, you have a small window to inflict some damage. What makes things tricky is that you still have to defend Lana from the rabbits while fighting the boss.

Stick close to Lana and focus on keeping her safe. Only attack the boss when he spawns nearby so that you can also defend Lana if things turn south.

When the boss’s health bar is drained, you’ll trigger a lengthy cutscene.

Once the cutscene ends, continue moving right.

You’ll eventually get caught in a trap. Complete the QTE to break free and head left. This will trigger another cutscene, and the chapter will end.
