Call Of The Elder Gods Walkthrough

Call of the Elder Gods is a narrative-driven puzzle game where you play as Harry Everhart and Evangeline Drayton as they try to find the answers behind their dreams and visions. On their journey, they encounter a mysterious organization that abducts Evangeline, and now, Harry must find a way to save her.

Interrogation

As the chapter begins, Evangeline is being interrogated by Caleb Bowen, and the old man who was pretending to be Harry Everhart’s therapist.

Bowen tries to play with Evangeline’s head, telling her that Harry was the one who killed her father. He also asks a series of questions regarding Doctor West, Pnakotus, and how she managed to activate the platforms in the caves in Virginia.

Now, you can pick any of the options here. Shortly after, the Therapist will show you a book, asking you to translate its title. Regardless of what you pick, Evangeline will end up telling the truth.

The Therapist then tries to hypnotize Evangeline, trying to rouse her memories. The scene will then shift to Evangeline’s memories.

Memories

You’ll start out in Evangeline’s room. As you open the door, you’ll find yourself in a strange place. Here, you have to keep walking on the path.

Keep going straight ahead. You’ll come across some books, these books are the same on that were in Harry’s shelf. Here, you have to get on top of the paper. The gravity will shift, and you’ll be able to stand upright.

You’ll be able to find a path ahead from here. The path will eventually lead you to the same ancient city and forest that Evangeline dreams about.

When you get on the altar here, you’ll find a book. Suddenly, a giant being with tentacles will appear. It is the Great Engineer.

Caleb and the therapist will then leave after acquiring the coordinates for Pnakotus from Evangeline while she was hypnotized. The scene will then shift to Harry, who’s trying to rescue her.

Investigation

As Harry arrives in the building, you’ll have to proceed and open the door ahead. You’ll then arrive in a room with several statues of Egyptian deities. There are smaller statuettes placed in front of the larger ones.

These statuettes have ranks, names, jobs, constellations, and hieroglyphs. You’ll have to find all of that and put it into these statuettes to activate a lift that leads to Evangeline.

If you progress ahead in the room, you’ll find a chart of hieroglyphs. There’s also a staircase nearby. This will lead you to the upper chambers.

When you go up the stairs, you’ll find a giant pyramid in the centre of the hall. If you look into the drawers of the tables, you’ll find a smaller version of the pyramid with shapes on each side and edge.

The Pyramid

Now, you have to approach the large pyramid. Interact with the triangle in the centre of it. Pressing the triangle will reveal shapes on each edge.

You have to rotate the edges in such a way that each side shows the same shape on the edges of the pyramid. You can use the smaller triangle that you found earlier as a reference.

After that, a strange dome will pop out from the pyramid, surrounded by a dial. You have to rotate the dial so the mark on it matches the one in front of the dial.

As you do that, the dome will be raised, and other parts of a building will also appear from under it. You have to rotate the staircases to the front.

If both dials with the staircases are facing the front, you’ll have to rotate the dome. The dome has multiple markings on it, but you have to rotate the side with no markings to the front.

Once you’re done, you’ll unlock the chambers on the upper floors. Each of these chambers belongs to a member of the Starry Wisdom society.

Astronomer’s Office

You can find some hieroglyphs on a note inside the astronomer’s office. There are also photos of constellations with names written underneath to represent who these constellations are assigned to.

Search the room thoroughly, and you’ll also find an Egyptian calendar. Once you’ve investigated everything, you can head to the next office.

Archeologist’s Office

As you enter the room, you’ll find a book about hieroglyphs on the shelf. There’s also a camera on the table.

There’s also a note on the table which tells you the name of the one known as Lynx to be Larry. You’ll also find a backroom in this office with resources to process photographs from the old camera, such as different types of chemicals, but you’ll have to come to it later.

Dilettante’s Office

You’ll find a piece of paper on the table detailing the instructions for the ritual process to enter the Black Pharaoh’s room, which is just the fancy name Bowel picked for himself.

There is a photograph of the man, who appears to have a bulky build. Once you’ve checked everything, move to the next room.

Psychiatrist’s Office

As you enter this office, you’ll find a closed box on the table. Open the box, and you’ll find a film inside it. You can develop this film later at the Archeologist’s office. There’s also a note inside the box, which reveals the name of the Archeologist.

There are some more clues, and a record player in the room as well. Head to the next room once you’re done.

Biologist’s Office

As you enter the office, you’ll find a note on the table detailing the photographic processing instructions.

There’s not much to do here, except that you’ll find another note on the table, which tells you that the Biologist isn’t the last one in the ritual. You’ll also find the certificate of the biologist hung up on the wall, and you can figure out their real name from there.

Processing Photo

Head to the room inside the Archeologist’s office. You’ll have to place the cylindrical object on the machine to the left.

The machine will then develop one of the photogenic papers with the light. You can then pick the papers and put them in the chemicals in this order:

  • 1st: Tray in the middle.
  • 2nd: Tray on the left.
  • 3rd: Tray on the right.

Once you’re done, you’ll have a fully developed photo in your hands. The photo shows different members of the society wearing different masks.

If you’ve made a mistake and ended up with an all-black paper instead of a clear photo, you can throw it in the trash can nearby by interacting with it and try again.

Ritual To Unlock Black Pharaoh’s Chambers

First, you have to interact with the statue that has a crocodile’s face. Enter the following details in the statuette:

  • Rank: 1
  • Name: Howard
  • Profession: Dilettante
  • Constellation: Orion
  • Hieroglyph: The one that has a crocodile or lizard-like creature facing a foot.

Next, interact with the statuette that has the cat face on it.

  • Rank: 2
  • Name: Patricia
  • Profession: Biologist
  • Constellation: Corvus
  • Hieroglyph: The one with two inverted bowls.

Interact with the statuette that has a long beak and enter the following details:

  • Rank: 3
  • Name: Felix
  • Profession: Archeologist
  • Constellation: Auriga
  • Hieroglyph: It starts with a small flag-like shape on the left. There’s a small bird in the middle, and a snake to the right.

Approach the statuette that has a dog’s or a fox’s face on it:

  • Rank: 4
  • Name: Eugene
  • Profession: Psychiatrist
  • Constellation: Eridanus
  • Hieroglyph: It shows a little bird facing right, looking towards what appears to be a leaf. There’s also a cube here.

Interact with the eagle-shaped statuette:

  • Rank: 5
  • Name: Larry
  • Profession: Astronomer
  • Constellation: Lynx
  • Hieroglyph: It shows an eagle to the left, which is looking at a face levitating above a hole in the ground.

Rescue

After you’ve put all the details on the statuettes, press the button on the pedestal in the middle. This will call the lift.

Get in the lift, and you’ll get to another area of the building. You’ll find some more clues about what this society is doing in the world on the floor above.

Open the gate on the other end of the hallway, and you’ll find a small pyramid on a table. There’s a door to your right. If you open this door, you’ll have the option to think twice.

Make sure you’ve checked everything. Open the door, and you’ll find Evangeline inside. She’s still alive, and Bowen has left with his members.

As Harry is leaving with Evangeline, her eyes drop on an image of the Great Engineer on the wall. She wants Harry to go to Spitzbergen, and that’s where the next chapter will take you.
