Welcome to the Into Indie Games guide for Children of Silentown! As Children of Silentown is a point-and-click adventure game, I strongly recommend exploring the world and getting a feel for all the various items and characters you’ll find in it. Note that this is a story-oriented guide and does not cover stickers or achievements.

Chapter 4 (Door, Artifact)

We can’t use Mom’s Song here as Lucy’s singing will no doubt distract the monster. Thankfully, there is a blue flower above, so go back down, pull the blue vine, then go back up and use Mom’s Song on the red bramble.

Go back down now and go right towards the door. The red bramble has made its way to the wall above the door. Go just below the bramble and once more, use Mom’s Song on it. This will cause the bramble to reappear in its original position while also giving you the much-needed rune key, referred to here as the ‘weird artifact’.

Pick up the weird artifact and use it on the door to the right to continue. You can also run to the far left of the area to insert the artifact in another slot, but that will only net you a sticker, not any progress.

After putting the artifact in the door to the right, you will automatically go to the next location.
