Chapter 4 (Vine, Fruit)

After the cutscene that follows, we find Lucy in the forest. The white squirrels have stolen Lucy’s doll, so our new goal is to retrieve it somehow.

Begin by interacting with the branch the squirrel is on to acquire… a branch. Then, use the Children’s Song on the blue plant that’s lying at the base of the tree. We find ourselves in another memory puzzle, but this one introduces a new mechanic into the mix. You now have wholes that you can sew into and out of. Think of them as teleporters for your thread – if you enter one, you go to the other.

Solve the puzzle according to the solution seen below:

Solving the puzzle causes the plant to grow. You can now try to climb the vine to get the doll (you’ll find an interaction prompt shaped like an arrow at the bottom of the vine). Unfortunately, Lucy is not very successful in this regard. You will, however, acquire the vine and you can also pick up a fruit that’s fallen down. Do so now.
