Cloudheim – Greenvor Act 1 Walkthrough

Cloudheim

Cloudheim has a variety of regions where you can explore and complete quests to awaken the slumbering gods there in the aftermath of Ragnarok. Greenvor is the third region that you can unlock after gathering at least 30 World Stars. It is also the first region where you don’t have to work towards awakening a slumbering god, but to restore the order. For more information on Cloudheim, you can check out their official website here.

Unlike Dustlanger, Greenvor is a forest biome with lush greenery all over the place. The region is overflowing with nature, but there’s a sinister force at work here, and that’s what you’ll have to take care of.

Arrival In Greenvor

As soon as you arrive in Greenvor, you’ll be tasked with going to the Ancestral Tree to meet with a fellow Runari. You can open the map to see where the Ancestral Tree area is to get there easily.

You’ll encounter tiny blue spirits on the way that will guide you towards the Ancestral Tree’s direction. There are also plenty of enemies on the way, but fighting them isn’t necessary.

As you reach the Ancestral Tree, you’ll find out that the Runari, Gryg, is living inside the tree. Gryg is surprised to see you here, but once they find out that you’re a Runari as well, they’ll give you a small trial to determine your strength.

The Ancient Bog

After talking to Gryg, the Bifrost Gate in the room will become active, and it will allow you to travel to the Ancient Bog, a dungeon.

The Ancient Bog looks and feels very similar to the Frogopolis dungeon in Arcadia, with all the greenery and frog statues all over the dungeon.

As you arrive in this area, you’ll have to keep moving ahead. There will be some poles with blue spheres on top of them to guide you through the area.

The Three Froghead Puzzle

You’ll come across a section where you’ll find three gates, each with a hole that has strange markings under it. There’s also a fountain-like structure in front of the three gates with a frog-like spherical stone on a pedestal.

Now, you have to kick this sphere on the gate to unlock it, but then the sphere will disappear, and you’ll have to find the other two spheres to unlock the other two gates.

Keep in mind that only one of the doors contains a treasure chest. One of them contains a cannon, and the third one has a small enemy behind it. If you’ve got the chest on your first try, you don’t have to look for other spheres, and the entire puzzle is optional.

There’s an awning in front of one of the doors, and you can jump on it to get on top of the ledge behind it. There’s a wooden cart and other rubble here. You can destroy that to find your second sphere.

For the third sphere, you’ll have to look at the opposite side of the awning. The sphere is stuck on the cliff, and you’ll have to use your lasso to bring it down.

Once you’ve opened all three gates, you can then cross the bridge to reach the other section.

The Stone Tower

In the final section of Gryg’s trial, you’ll find a stone structure here. The gate has a hole in it, so you’ll have to kick a sphere into it.

There are several spheres hidden in this section. You’ll also encounter many enemies, as well as the toxic artillery that keeps shooting at all times. You can get rid of them and then focus on finding the spheres.

In most cases, you’ll find the spheres placed on a pedestal in a dome-like structure. As soon as you find one, bring it back to the gate.

However, as soon as you kick the sphere into the gate, it will open up, revealing another gate with a hole in it. You’ll then have to find another sphere in the area.

You’ll have to repeat this process a total of three times, as there are three gates you’ll have to unlock in this structure. After opening each gate, you’ll find a small chest here.

But, as you open the third and final gate, you’ll find four chests. This will also unlock the path forward. You can follow the quest marker from here to reach the domain’s exit, where you’ll find the dungeon’s chest and will be able to get back to Gryg.
