Welcome to the third part of our walkthrough for Constance.
Rescuing Lady Clara and recovering the first Tear sent Constance on a quest to find four more. But before she starts collecting those Tears, she needs to grow stronger for the battles ahead.

Exploring Janky Junction
Now that you’ve got the Elevator running and also rescued Lady Clara, return to Janky Junction. Take a look at Lady Clara‘s wares to see if you can buy anything. If you’ve got enough lightstones, upgrading the Precision Brush is a good idea.
You can also check Quip‘s shop, now that you’ve rescued his cousin. He’ll also have some new items that you can buy. Talk to Neolardo, and when you’re ready, drop down the hole on the left side of the Resting Point.
Head left and use Paint Stab to break the Corruption pillar. This area was blocked off to us earlier.
You’ll reach a long chamber. Drop down and defeat the enemies in the area. You’ll find a chest here that gives you some Lightstones and Glimmers.
There’s not much else to do here. If you take the left exit, you’ll return to a previous area, and there’s no reason to go there. So go right and drop down towards the entrance of the room, and head back.
This time, head right and break the second Corruption pillar.
This area is also filled with enemies. You’ll have to go up, then right, and drop down to the other side. The exit is on the right heading down.
Drop down the platforms and go left to find another exit heading down.
Continue descending past the enemies to find a second Resting Point.
The path on the left from the Resting Point is blocked for now. So head right.
In the next room, drop down and loop around to the other side. There’s an exit at the top that you can take. Ignore the path heading right at the bottom.
Break the Corruption pillar and head forward to find Adam. Talk to him to unlock another Side Quest where you have to fix the phone line for him.
From here, continue right and drop down. In the next room, drop down the right side to trigger a gauntlet. Defeat the enemies to find a chest with some Lightstones and Glimmers.
Keep heading right and take another exit in the next room to reach a connecting point to the Astral Academy.
From here, you can go to Chaotic Carnival, which is technically the next zone, but we’ll save that for later.
But instead, we’ll head straight for the Vanishing Vaults after picking up a key ability upgrade from Astral Academy. This will make it easier for us to defeat the boss in Chaotic Carnival.
Exploring Astral Academy
From the entrance to the zone, keep heading down. Don’t take the path that’s on the left. Instead, go down to enter the Academy.
Go left and jump to the platform below. Defeat the enemy here and continue making your way downward.
You’ll find some Glimmer Flowers on the left side wall as you descend.
Head down through the opening at the bottom left to reach the next room.
Activate the Resting Point and continue heading down.
Unlocking Paint Stroke (Brush Technique)
Defeat the enemy in the lower section and Paint Dive through the thorns.
There are two more enemies in the next room. Take them down and keep heading down and left.
In the next room, you need to go up and left to find the exit.
Drop down and go through the opening on the right.
Go left to find the Canvas. Use it to unlock your next Brush Technique: Paint Stroke.
With this ability, you can now use those floating white grapple points. You can also use this on enemies to dash into them.
Make your way to the top of the room and use the lever to open the door above. Go through it.
Use the grapple points in the center to go up.
This will take you to the main Resting Point of Astral Academy. You’ll spot the Elevator shortcut to this area on the left. The grapple point on the right leads to the main quest of this area and the Tear. But we’ll return to it later after completing the Vanishing Vaults zone.
How to Rescue Quip’s Cousin, Stefan (Optional)
Drop down to the left to return to the previous room. Then use the grapple point on the left and go through the exit.
Head all the way to the left and take down the enemy here.
Once it’s down, jump up and dash through the thorn and hit the wall.
Go through the hidden passage to find Quip’s Cousin, Stefan. Talk to him to send him back to the town.
Exploring Vanishing Vaults
Return to the entrance of the room and head up. Go right to find some Glimmer Flowers. Then continue heading left.
Take down the enemies and continue forward.
In the next room, head up and take down the flying enemies. Get to the upper floor using the platforms on the right to find a Resting Point.
After activating it, jump up to the platform on the upper left to find the exit.
Use the grapple point near the entrance and Paint Dive through the thorns to reach the floating platform.
Continue ascending using the platforms, defeating enemies as you go.
Go through the exit at the top-left section of the room.
Head across the long bridge to enter the Vanishing Vaults.
Unlocking Wall Dive (Brush Technique)
After entering the Vanishing Vaults, use the floating platforms to get to the upper level. You’ll face some new enemies in this zone. But they’re not too tough.
You’ll find three Glimmer Flowers on the right platform.
Get on the left floor to fight another enemy and break two more Glimmer Flowers.
Head to the floor above to fight two more enemies. Then jump on the hanging platform
Jump to the upper floor and head left to enter the next section.
Keep walking forward and you’ll meet Emelie. Run through her dialogues.
Then head left and press the corresponding button when the prompt comes up above your head.
After doing this a couple of times, the floor will break and you’ll fall to the lower level of Vanishing Vaults.
Talk to Bertram to pick up a new Side Quest. Then head right.
You’ll find your next Canvas, which gives you the next Brush Technique. This time, you’ll unlock the Wall Dive ability, allowing you to scale up or down the wall.
Use Wall Dive to scale the wall next to the Canvas.
This takes you to the first Resting Point in Vanishing Vaults.
