Join us at Into Indie Games as we continue our journey through the Evacuation Procedures quest in Control Resonant.
After reaching the Field Office in Central, Dylan gets multiple tasks that send him to different zones across Manhattan to investigate the Resonant presence and defeat the Hiss.
For the Evacuation Zone, strange tremors have been coming from the Evac building, and Dylan needs to head there and investigate what’s causing them.

Reach The Evacuation Zone

The Evacuation Zone is located to the east of Central, and you need to go through the checkpoint there to reach the area. You will be able to see signs to help you get there.
After you reach Evacuation, Zoe will tell you that you need to find the source of the tremors they have been feeling lately.
Find The Source Of The Tremors

Head left and climb up to the platform to your right. Be careful of the hole on the ground so you do not fall. That is the Sinkhole, which we will go back to later in the game.

If you look straight ahead, you will notice that the building is taken by the Hiss, and you will feel another tremor. There is no doubt that the tremors are coming from there.
Your goal is to reach the building to the east and get inside to check what is causing the tremor. It is definitely the Hiss somehow, so you need to stop it.
Unblock The Hiss Barrier

When you reach the building, you will notice that the entrance is blocked by a Hiss barrier, and you need to find the Hiss orbs in order to remove it. There is a red trail that should direct you toward the orbs.
- The first orb is just outside the building, so you will not miss it.

- The second orb is just northwest of the Evac Building on the rooftop. The red trails will directly point you to it.

- The third orb, if you follow its trail, will take you to a garage to the south of the building.

In order to unlock it, you need to grab the charge from the Power Core Station and take it to the rooftop across from it to unlock the garage.

Follow the yellow cable to reach the Power Cell that you need to charge, then simply head to the station, grab the charge, and put it here.
Go Inside The Evac Building

After you destroy all three Hiss orbs, the barrier will be removed, and you will be able to get inside the building to investigate.
At the entrance, you will see dead FBC agents. You can report this back to Zoe. You will notice that Dylan notices the effect the Hiss has here.
Navigate The 12th Floor

Head to the elevator and pick the 12th floor. During the lift sequence, Dylan will experience a flashback, and you will see a vision from his past, taking you back to the events of the first Control game.

You see him in his P6 outfit in his cell, corrupted by the Hiss, but for a moment, Dylan snaps out of it. When you arrive at the 12th floor, exit the elevator and follow the way to the right. You will see a trail of dead people.

Shortly after, you will reach a big room, and many enemies will be there. You need to defeat all of them. When that is done, you can grab a few crates on the upper west side of the room.

The main path is through the opposite side, where you will see a door with blue light. Head up through the scaffolding until you get to the upper floor. You will find a Health Upgrade that you should grab.

Through the hallway with the Hiss-corrupted people, Dylan will experience another flashback.

Simply walk outside the door ahead and climb up the stairs until you reach two FBC agents. It will end here, and he will snap out of it.
The Hiss Resonant presence here is strong, and somehow it is still affecting Dylan, but it is not time to stop. In front of you, you will see the elevator, but there is a Hiss barrier.

To the left of it, go through this room and follow the path ahead to find the node. Destroy it and head back to the elevator. Some enemies will try and stop you on your way back, so defeat them.
Navigate The 15th Floor

Go inside the elevator and get to the 15th floor. During the elevator section, Dylan will once again experience another flashback, which continues on from the previous one.

Dylan made it to the Central Executive, and as you walk, you will see that the Hiss enemies are friendly. Interact with the door there to snap out of the flashback again.

When you are back, exit the elevator and walk through the hallway, with more Hiss-corrupted enemies along the way. Nothing you can do about it. Keep following the way until you hear a distant voice.

This will cause Dylan to experience yet another flashback. This time around, he is in his cell, and Arish is speaking to him. He sounds mad about losing some of his closest and best agents due to the Hiss.

Just when Dylan takes back his consciousness, he will hear the distant voice again, and it sounds more like Arish. Progress forward and you will come across a door to the Hiss.
As soon as you approach it, it seems that Dylan will be taken into the same flashback for a moment.

Walk forward toward the door, and you will find yourself in a full red Pure Hiss Resonant space, with all the civilians corrupted by the Hiss floating around.

At the end, you will be surprised to see Arish alive. Speak to him. He still hates Dylan for what he did, even though it was out of his control, and seems to be shocked by the fact that he got out.
Arish seems to be getting headaches, and Dylan is wondering how Arish is still surviving. Dylan convinces him that he needs to get out of here and head back to the FBC Field Office at Central.
Get Arish Out Alive

Your job is to get Arish out of here alive, so start by exiting the Hiss space. Backtrack toward the elevator down the hall. When you try to call it, the door will get jammed.
Given Arish was in Maintenance, he pulled a trick to get the doors open by punching it, and it seems to work. Interact with the panel to take the lift down.

Another tremor will happen, and this will cause the elevator to be blocked. It will stop at the 15th floor, and here you need to destroy all the Hiss nodes.

The first node is in front of you, so you will not miss it, but the rest are on the lower floor. Arish will grant you a Level 2 Keycard that you can use for the emergency stairs exit.

Unlock the door and follow the path to get back to the big room where you fought the Hiss. There is a node here, so make sure you get rid of it as well.

This will unblock all the doors, and Arish can get the elevator back, but it will hit Dylan again, and you get another flashback.

The brief memory showcases, and this is just our guess, when the Hiss first got inside the Oldest House.

After you get back in control, you will have to defeat the waves of enemies here. Once that is done, simply backtrack to the elevator and take it to reach the ground floor and exit the building.
Arish’s Briefing

Dylan saved Arish’s life, and he managed to make it back to the Field Office at Central. You need to go and check on him.
Since we did not manage to stop the tremors coming from the Evac Building, it seems that Arish might have a plan.
It seems they have recovered the corpse of the Resonant Entity from Downtown and are planning to weaponize it, hoping to use it to get rid of the Hiss, or at least in theory.
Your task is to head to the bottom of the Sinkhole and establish the “ammo” for this weapon by installing some probe relays.
However, you will also need more power, so you will have to reroute power from the city grid through the subway stations.
This will unlock two main quests, Power Lines and Into the Sinkhole, and you can tackle either of them in any order you want.
And with that, we wrap up another walkthrough for Control Resonant. Thanks for checking it out!
