Join us at Into Indie Games as we explore the Evacuation Zone in Control Resonant.
There are tremors coming from the Evacuation Zone, and it seems that the Hiss has taken over the Evac building, where people were supposed to be sheltered. We’re here to help you find all the important things in this zone before you take on whatever is waiting inside that building.
It is recommended to complete The Subway Fault side quest before you start exploring this zone, as you will need the Reach ability to go around easily.
This is a work in progress article, as we may have missed some things given that this is Remedy and they love their secrets, so keep checking back as we continue exploring.
Table of contents
Large Resource Crate Locations – Health Upgrade
#1

Next to the Vendor of the Evacuation zone. Check the Vendor location below.
#2

Toward the end of The Subway Fault side quest, after you exit the Fault, head back and use Reach to reach the upper floor where you started.

Go through the tunnel and past the mold, basically tracking back from where you came. This time, you will come across the Patterned Metro Tunnels fast travel door.
Exit through the blue door and take the stairs up. In front of you, you will be able to see the Health Upgrade crate.
#3

During the Evacuation Procedures main quest, after you get inside the Evac Building, use the elevator to get to the 12th floor and follow the path until you reach the big room where the enemies are.

After you defeat them, head to the door with the blue light on the right side and follow the path up through the Evacuation Procedures area until you come across the Health Upgrade crate.
You can always revisit the location even if you missed it during the quest.
Large Resource Crate Locations – Power Upgrade
#1

During the Recursions and Alterations main quest, you will need to go deeper into the Sinkhole. At the bottom of it, you will be able to find a Power Upgrade crate. You won’t miss it.
#2

After you get out of the Sinkhole for the first time during Recursions and Alterations, you will unlock the laundromat path to gain easy access to it. Inside, you will find another Power Upgrade crate.
Vendor Location

Directly east of the Main Street fast travel door, you will find the Vendor parked on the corner of the street.
Terminal Location

After you unblock the Hiss barrier, you gain access to the Evac Building to the very east as part of the main story. Interact with the terminal at the desk to start the questionnaire. Here are the answers we picked.
Q: Your file is sealed, but the word is out. Allegedly, you’re responsible for the deaths of hundreds of FBC agents. Is this true?
A: Yes.
Q: There are rumors that you are a clone of Director Trench. Is this true?
A: No.
Q: Are you loyal to the FBC?
A: I don’t know.
Secret Location – Konstig Gallery

On the same street where the Main Street fast travel point is located, you will find a gallery shop called Konstig.
Go inside and you will find several paintings displayed on the walls. If you interact with the pillar in the gallery, it will shine a light on a specific painting.

The note on the desk mentions that the paintings sold this month are Journey, Windows, Thunder, and Tides.
Your goal is to use the pillar to shine the light on the correct painting for each theme. Once you have selected all four correct paintings, you will unlock a secret room.
Each painting has a theme that can help you figure out which one is correct. For example, the Journey painting should represent a path, such as a road or something similar.
Look at what each painting depicts and think about how it could represent one of the four themes.
Here are the correct paintings, starting from the left wall and moving clockwise:

- Left Wall: Pick the middle painting. It shows a road through a forest, representing Journey.

- Wall Facing the Entrance: Pick the painting on the left. This represents Windows.

- Back Right Wall: Pick the painting on the left. It shows a tree split in two after being struck by lightning, representing Thunder.

- Front Right Wall: Pick the middle painting. It shows a lake, representing Tides.

Once you have selected all four correct paintings, a hidden passage to the basement will be revealed.
Go downstairs to obtain the Health Upgrade and pick up some collectibles along the way.
Dog Location

You need to have both Reach and Shift abilities in order to access the dog location.
Northeast of the Main Street fast travel door, you will be able to see a patterned building.

Use Reach to get to the rooftop of the building. You will be able to spot the toy first this time, as the dog is on the upside-down roof.

If you pick up the toy, you can use Reach, but you can simply pick it up, double jump, and then Shift to the upside-down roof, then put it on the bed.
Dylan’s Sketchbook Location
#1

South of the zone, you will find a parking garage. Go through it and make it to the other side. Here, go to the alley on the left and enter the Johnn Mark Inc building. You will find a vending machine on the wall.

Dylan will need to assemble the pieces of the vending machine to make a robot. Connect the pipes as the hands and legs, then place the light on top as the head. It should look like the picture above.
#2

The second sketch is located to the north of the zone inside the construction building. Here, you will come across a small house that is incomplete. Dylan needs to complete it in order to sketch it.

Put the rooftop together, then place the plants on each side alongside the pet near the bowl, as shown in the picture above.
Camera Location
#1

Southeast of the Sinkhole, climb up the building to the rooftop, and you will notice an open door there. The camera is standing inside, and if you walk by it, it will freeze you.

What we need to do is unlock the door to the side using a Power Cell charge. We are going to grab this charge from the Power Core Station.

The station is located at the very end of the street to the east, and it will also be marked on your map. As you make your way to the station, you will notice all the unpowered Power Cells along the side.

All you need to do is take the charge from the station and move it along the Power Cells until you reach the rooftop where the camera is. This will unlock the door, and you will be able to shut down the camera.
Taxi Location

South of the vendor location, go through the alley with the red trap, and you will find the taxi parked at the end of the path. Go inside to be transported to the Threshold, then speak to Mia on the phone.
This time around, the difference between the taxis is based on their lights flash:
- First Taxi: Pick the taxi that has its lights flashing opposite to all the other taxis.
- Second Taxi: Pick the taxi that flashes its lights twice in a row.
- Third Taxi: Pick the taxi that does not flash its lights at all.
Testing Facility Location

Near the Survivalist’s Bunker fast travel door, which is to the very south of the Evac Zone, you will find a construction site. At the bottom, there is a pipe that will let you reach the Testing Facility.

This one has the Soda Dispenser puzzle. You know the drill by now:
Move the objects between the lines so that each square contains a soda dispenser, with the objects forming the dispenser while staying within the boundaries of their respective square.

When this is done, hit the switch. This will open the door to a Power Upgrade alongside some collectibles.
Arcade Location

The Arcade machine in this Zone only becomes available once you reach Zone Level 3.
In addition to that, you also need to complete the Evacuation Procedures main quest to get a Level 2 Clearance Keycard.
The location is on the ground level of the Evac building.
Side Quests
We are currently working on finding the Side Quests in this area and adding them to the article. Please be patient as we are still exploring and diving into the game.
