Join us at Into Indie Games as we explore the West Incursion in Control Resonant.
The West Incursion has become one of the areas hit hardest by the spreading Patterning, twisting the environment around Dylan as he pushes forward. With no way around it, he’ll have to venture deeper into the zone, and this guide will help you keep track of the important things you can find along the way.
It is recommended to complete The Incursion Fault side quest before you start exploring this zone, as you will need the Shift ability to go around.
This is a work in progress article, as we may have missed some things given that this is Remedy and they love their secrets, so keep checking back as we continue exploring.

Large Resource Crate Locations – Health Upgrade
#1

Next to the Vendor of the West Incursion Zone. Check the Vendor location below.
#2

After you complete the Incursion Fault side quest and obtain the Shift ability, you will need to get out of the parking garage.
Simply follow the Exit sign as you make your way up, and two floors up, you should come across a crate that has a Health Upgrade.
#3

At the Empire Avenue Station north of the zone, head underground through the subway and go to the room on the right, where you will find another crate containing a Health Upgrade.
Large Resource Crate Locations – Power Upgrade
#1

Inside the House of Mirrors, near the map pylon, you will find a crate that you can open to get a Power Upgrade.
Vendor Location

The street next to the map Pylon where you can spot the red slimes, follow it to the end. You will find the Vendor vehicle parked there.
Terminal Location
We are currently working on finding the Terminal location and adding it to the article. Please be patient as we are still exploring and diving into the game.
Secret Location – Urban Fresh Mart

From the House of Mirrors, follow the street south until you come across an Urban Fresh Mart and go inside.
Here, you will be able to interact with the cash register and enter a code, but you first need to find the correct code.

In the corner, there is a note on a box mentioning that the soda dispenser has some weird flashing lights. If you interact with the soda dispenser near the entrance, you will see the flashing lights mentioned in the note.
The lights flash a different number of times for each soda brand, and this tells you the numbers for the code.
For example, if two brands flash, it means 2, while one flash means 1. The lights flash in the order 3121, but entering this code into the register will not work.

The note on the counter explains why. It mentions that the drinking order has been reversed, which means the code needs to be entered in reverse as well.
- This gives you the correct code, 1213.

Enter 1213 into the cash register, and the door to the hidden basement will unlock. Go downstairs and grab your Health Upgrade, along with some collectibles that you can pick up.
Dog Location
We are currently working on finding the Dog location and adding it to the article. Please be patient as we are still exploring and diving into the game.

Taxi Location

Near the Empire Avenue Station, use Shift to reach the upside-down part of the area, where you will be able to spot the taxi. Go inside.

After you arrive, answer the phone and speak to Mia. Once the conversation is over, you will need to complete a small puzzle by picking the correct taxi.
This time, the difference between the taxis is based on the streetlights:

- First Taxi: Pick the taxi that is under the flashing streetlight.
- Second Taxi: Pick the taxi that is under the streetlight that is not flashing at all.
- Third Taxi: Pick the taxi that is under the flashing streetlight that is out of rhythm with the others.
Testing Facility Location

Around the center of the zone, make your way to the main street there, and halfway through, you should see a small construction site with a pipe below it.
Go through the pipe, and at the end, you will find the facility there. For this one, you need to complete the Soda Dispenser puzzle.

After you’ve turned and placed a soda dispenser in each of the squares around the room, hit the switch and get your Power Upgrade and a few collectible notes.
Arcade Location

The Arcade machine in this Zone only becomes available once you reach Zone Level 3.
Next to the Empire Avenue fast travel door, you will find an Atlantis Coffee shop, but the entrance is blocked. Simply break the wooden barrier and head inside, and you will find the arcade machine there.
Side Quests
The Party Won’t Stop

Southeast of the zone, you will be able to see an area with the sign Singing Reported. It’s marked on the map as Singing Reported, so make your way there.
You will notice the street has mold here, and you will hear music. If you look at the right, west building, you will see a house with neon purple lights. Head there and investigate.

Since the door to the building is locked, climb up to the opposite building’s rooftop and jump across to the rooftop where the party is being held.

Go through the door and then head downstairs. To your surprise, you will find people partying, and the karaoke machine is on, but they are asking for help.
It seems that the karaoke machine is an Altered Item, and you need to stop it. The only way to do so is to sing! You will be given options to finish the lyrics, and you need to make sure you pick the correct one.

If you listen to a lot of music, you can naturally guess the correct words because they would rhyme with the song, but in case you need help, these are the correct lyrics in order:
- …gasoline
- …stress
- …so fleeting
- …too long
- …move
- …fear
- …everything
- …higher and higher
- …Shout
If you pick one wrong lyric, a person will die from the crowd. We learned that the hard way because we missed up once but it did not fail the quest.

As a reward, you will obtained the Untapped Bar Blade artifact and the Varsity Jacket! And remember, always be what you want to be!
We are still working on finding more Side Quests in this area and adding them to the article.
And with that, we wrap up our West Incursion walkthrough for Control Resonant. Thanks for checking it out!
