Craftlings – Stolen Crown Walkthrough

Craftlings walkthrough

Each stage in Craftlings gives you a unique objective, and you have to overcome all the obstacles in the area as you progress towards completing that objective. The Stolen Crown stage can be exceptionally challenging because of the limited resources in the area, and you’ll have to do whatever you can with what’s available to you at the start of the game. For more information on Craftlings, check out its official Steam page here.

In this stage, you’ll have only a limited number of trees available. You can’t set up a Sapling Farm in this area, and you have to generate over 1000 gold coins to purchase the crown for the Sphinx statue.

Arrival

There are a total of four platforms in this area, with each platform having another level or two underneath it. Each platform is full of trees in the beginning, but these trees do not respawn, so you’ll have to be careful with how you use the wood in this area.

Alongside the wood, your gold is also limited, as you can’t freely sell the wood and other resources for money. Your goal here is to set up an Artist building, craft and sell the sculptures at the market to gain enough gold to purchase the crown.

In this stage, you’ll have around 40 crates available from the start. Use these crates to link each platform together. Place an extra crate on the edge of each end to place a stopper on it. This will stop any Craftlings from accidentally falling down.

The edges of each platform are covered in stone. You can’t build anything on it. Utilize the space available on the levels under the platforms to trade resources to the top level, where most of your structures will be.

Starting Out

The entire area is full of trees, but every tree matters here because they won’t be growing again. If you destroy a tree using dynamite to place another structure, you’ll be losing a precious resource. Fortunately, you have a total of 50 free axes at the start of the stage.

Drop three or four axes where you want to clean up the trees. Once that’s done, place your Lumberjack’s Hut there. Also set up a Mining Shed.

You’ll have to manually turn off production for both of these buildings once your requirements have been met throughout the stage.

Upgrade your Town Hall to Level 3 using wood and stones. You’ll need planks for the next upgrade. Set up a Lumber Mill and keep a close eye on its production. Immediately turn it off once you’ve produced enough planks.

Producing Iron

You will have to set up a market, preferably near the Town Hall. Most of your starting gold will come from the barrels in the sea, or you can also occasionally sell stones or planks for more gold.

When it comes to iron, you’ll only need to produce four units of it to upgrade the Town Hall. By now, you should be running out of all the trees on the top platforms.

Send one or two Craftlings on the lower levels of these platforms. Make sure there aren’t any skeletons there. You can use the Parachute spell to send down the Craftlings. Drop the axes from your inventory near them and use a Cargo Lift to send wood on top.

Completing the Wheat Farm will give you five pitchforks as a reward, and that’s enough to kill most of the skeletons in the area. There’s just one armored skeleton guarding a pile of 20 wood on the rightmost platform. You can face off against it later by using multiple Craftlings using spears or pitchforks.

Keep in mind that the skeletons drop bones when defeated, which will grant you 30 gold each.

Crafting Sculptures

Once the Town Hall has been upgraded to Level 5, you can start focusing on setting up the Artist building. You might be running out of space on the top platforms, so use the terrain spell to create more blocks.

Set up a Tavern and a few vegetable beds for grapes. You’ll also need to build a Worker’s Outpost for the hammers. The Level 5 upgrade gives you three personal lifts, which can be useful for going to the lower levels on the platforms, making it easier to carry wood to the top with them.

As soon as the Sculpture production is ready, you should start selling it immediately. You don’t have to upgrade the Town Hall at all more than this.

Each sculpture sells for 70 gold, and you’ll have to sell around 10 to 15 pieces of it, alongside the other resources that you have produced, like iron, wood, or stones.

Once you’ve got 1000 gold coins, interact with the Sphinx to purchase its crown, marking the completion of the stage.
