There are a total of 12 stages in Craftlings, with Stranded being the first one. This stage serves as a tutorial, while also giving you a good idea of how you’ll be doing things for the rest of the game. There’s one main objective here, and that’s to defeat the corrupted octopus that’s blocking your way ahead. For more information on Craftlings, check out its official Steam page here.
In the Stranded stage, you’ll have to build a small settlement and then construct a siege workshop, which will then be used to take down the corrupted octopus.

Introduction And Tutorial
As the stage begins, you’ll be introduced to a few basic tips by the tutorial. It will teach you how to control your Craftlings and how to set up a Town Hall.
The Town Hall, once it reaches level 2, is where your dynamite will be periodically produced. The dynamite is extremely useful for clearing obstacles and terrain.
You’ll also have to set up a Lumberjack’s Hut, which will streamline the production of axes. Use the axes from the Lumberjack’s Hut to gather more wood to upgrade the Town Hall.

Gathering Stones
Once you’ve gathered enough wood and unlocked level 2 of the Town Hall, you’ll be able to destroy the crates on each side of the area where your Craftlings are currently trapped.
Use the dynamite to destroy the crates on both sides. You’ll find a stone deposit on the extreme left, and a cliff to the extreme right.

However, just beyond the cliff, there’s the incomplete siege workshop that you’ll have to deliver 5 stones to complete. There’s also a lack of a proper pathway to reach this area, but you’ll have to come to it later.
For now, you should focus on setting up a Mining Shed. The Mining Shed will produce pickaxes, which can then be used to mine stones from a deposit.

However, this is where things get interesting, as Craftlings carrying a stone or a log cannot walk over a ladder. You’ll have to come up with a way to deliver the stones to the Siege Workshop on the other end.
After you’ve set up the Mining Shed, you’ll have to deliver a wooden log to it to craft a pickaxe. Note that crafting any tool consumes coins, so make sure you turn off any production buildings that you don’t immediately need to save the coins.

Finishing Off The Siege Workshop
Now that you’re producing stones, you’ll have to deliver them to the workshop to complete it. Fortunately, just under the seigh workshop, there’s a cargo lift that can deliver resources to a floor above.
There’s a little gap between the platform where the cargo lift is, and for that, you’ll have to use the crates. Destroying any crate with dynamite adds it to your inventory, and you can deploy it elsewhere. Use the crates to bridge the gap to the cargo lift.

Just to the right of the ladder, there’s a stopper statue. This statute sends back all of the Craftlings, as long as it stays active. You can turn it off by right-clicking on it, which will cause the Craftlings to go to the right side of the area.
Make sure you’ve bridged the gap first before turning off the stopper statue here, because the Craftlings may fall into the water with resources, and you’ll have to mine them again.

Destroying The Corrupted Octopus
Once the Siege Workshop has finished construction, you’ll be able to use gold coins to buy ammunition and automatically shoot ballista arrows towards the giant octopus in the sea.
To do so, you’ll have to click on the icon on top of the Siege Workshop. Most of the arrows will miss, and you’ll have to click on them multiple times.

There’s also a short reloading period once all the shots have been fired before you can click on the icon again.
You can speed up the time to quicken the process and keep shooting until the octopus is no more. Once the octopus is no more, that would mark the completion of the stage.
