Craftlings features a total of three biomes, with the third and final one taking you to the frigid lands of the north. Unlike previous stages, you won’t only have to manage your resources effectively, but also make smart use of the available terrain. For more information on Craftlings, please check out its official Steam page here.
In the Winter is Coming stage, you’ll start with no resources and no gold. You only have your Town Hall built and upgraded to Level 4. You have to find a way to gather resources and take the fight to the Frost Knight on the other end of the area.
Table of contents
Settling In
There are crates stacked on both sides of the Town Hall, trapping your Craftlings in place. You have to destroy these crates and use them to create new pathways.
There’s a Lumberjack’s Hut and a pile of axes on the top right part of the area. However, you’ll have to use the crates to build a path leading to it. Place a stopper on the edge of this platform to prevent Craftlings from falling to the ground.

On the left, there’s the Wizard’s Tower. Make sure you place a stopper around here because your Craftlings may fall to the other side.
Since you have no gold at this point, the wood from the pile of pickaxes can help you set up the Market. You can also click on the barrels in the sea, as they help a lot in getting a good start.

After you’ve got wood, you’ll have to wait a little till you have some more dynamite charges ready. Then, build a path leading to the pile of pickaxes below. This will help you get some stones without having to build a Mining Shed.
Use the stones to build the Market, and sell the rest of them to get enough gold to set up a ladder and a Cargo Lift. You can also use the pickaxes in your inventory to get some extra stones to sell for money, or get that gold from the barrels.

Upgrading The Town Hall To Level 5
There’s an Iron Mine already built on the bottom platform, as well as a pile of four iron ore. You don’t need to use the mine at all. Send at least two Craftlings down below with a ladder.
There’s also a skeleton here, so make sure you place a stopper before it to stop your Craftlings from getting defeated.

Once your Craftlings reach the bottom platform, have them deliver the iron ore to the Town Hall to upgrade it. After that, set up a Mining Shed down there and start mining and sending stones above.
The Mining Shed will require wood to produce pickaxes. You’ll have to use the crates to build a path again to the pre-built Lumberjack’s Hut on the top-right part of the main platform. Additionally, set up a Sapling Farm near the Town Hall, so you have a steady supply of wood.
Later on, you’ll have to move the Lumberjack’s Hut, or build another one near the Town Hall, because the top-right area will become difficult to access after you open a path leading to the Fishing Spot on the bottom-right corner.

Securing Gold
The easiest way to get gold is through the Fishing Spot. You’ll have to wait a little until you have enough dynamite to create a path leading to it. There’s a pile of 4 ropes just before the Fishing Spot.
Keep in mind that you have to place a crate and put a stopper on it right after the Fishing Spot. Otherwise, your Craftlings will fall into the water alongside the precious bones they’ve produced.

Since you can’t produce ropes on your own yet, the pile of ropes, alongside the wood you’re producing near the Town Hall, you’ll be able to get a total of four bones from the Fishing Spot. These bones will sell for 120 gold, allowing you to build a steady base from here on.
You can then work towards setting up a Rope Factory and a few flax vegetable beds to produce bones.

Expanding The Base
There’s not enough space to build here from the start. But now that you’re producing Flax, you can feed some to the Cauldron to generate mana. This will allow you to use the Terrain spell to create a platform above the Town Hall.
You can set up a Kitchen, a Worker’s Outpost, and a Training Spot here to produce Pitchforks. You can also set up the Artist building here to produce Sculptures to upgrade the Town Hall to level 6.
Utilize the space well to set up a Tavern and vegetable beds as well. The level 6 Town Hall upgrade is important, as it gives you a sword, which is essential in taking down the Frost Knight.

Preparing For The Battle
The pitchforks are enough to take down the regular and Armored skeletons in your path. There’s a sword in the extreme left corner of the map. It’s not easy to reach, but you can use spells and create a path to it to get it out. You don’t necessarily need it if you can get the level 6 upgrade for the Town Hall.
Build a Small Armory to produce spears. This is your second-best option. If the swordsman fails to defeat the Frost Knight, you’ll still be able to equip the Craftlings with a spear and have them attack it.
You should aim for a total of five spears and five pitchforks, alongside the sword you received from the Town Hall upgrade, before you head down to fight against the Frost Knight.

The Battle Against The Frost Knight
Send several Craftlings down to the bottom platform near the Iron Mine. Here, equip Craftlings with a pitchfork and have them fight against the regular skeletons in the path leading to the Frost Knight.
The Craftlings may lose the battle, but you need to press on and save the more advanced weapons for the Frost Knight.

Don’t forget to use the Mana Blessing and Mana Shield spell on each Craftling in every battle. The regular skeletons will drop bones, but you can have your Craftlings drop them because you don’t need those anymore, and focus on the battle.
There’s an armored skeleton right before the Frost Knight. Try to face it using pitchforks. You can use spears as well if you’ve run out of pitchforks.

The armored skeleton drops a mace, which is also essential in fighting the Frost Knight. Start the battle against the Frost Knight using a Craftling equipped with a sword.
The Frost Knight has a total of 15 HP. The sword-using Craftling can at least half the Frost Knight’s HP, and then you can use the other, slightly less advanced weapons to completely bring down its HP to 0. Once that happens, it will mark the completion of the stage.
