After discovering that the flying fortress is the greatest threat in Crimson Desert, Kliff and his comrades must gather allies and find a way to bring it down and destroy it.
However, this will not be an easy task, as you will need extensive preparations and must seek help from other factions.

Secret Weapon

The first objective is that you need to rally at the outpost suggested by Daminae; there, you will find the Greymanes and the others waiting for you.
Stefan will need to speak to you about the flying fortress and give you some details about it. However, regular weapons will not work on it, and you need to acquire a special weapon that Stefan might know where to get.

He asks you to seek the orc Valgash, who should know about it, as he is a master weaponsmith. Kliff needs to make his way to his camp, but what you did not know is that he has been fighting a war.
Here, you will get two objectives. The first one requires you to head to the Gate of War and help them defeat the swarm of clockwork insects, and then the second one requires you to find and speak to Valgash.
Liberate The Gate Of War

As soon as you approach the location, you will notice the large numbers of clockwork insects, and the people of the gate are fighting for their lives there.
As you go inside, you will be greeted by Gorthak Orc. He asks you that the secret weapon will be able to get rid of them, but for now you need to head to the top of the tower and activate the disruptor.

Climb up to the top of the tower just outside of the room where you were speaking with the Orc.
When you reach the disruptor, place the item in it and then pull the big handle next to it.

Doing so will emit an electrical wave that will kill most of the insects. Now head back and speak to Gorthak Orc. He will thank you and then direct you to Valgash’s location.
Visit Valgash

Head to the objective marker at the IronWorks. After you reach the location, you will find Valgash and the others fighting the same insects from earlier.
Here, you need to find Valgash downhill toward the center of the camp. He will let you in on the secret weapon and allow you to use it; all you need to do is meet him up the hill, and he will explain everything to you.

Go in the direction of the objective marker, and here you will find a dwarf called Marek standing in front of a robot machine. This is the secret weapon A.T.A.G., and it will help you deal with these clockwork insects and more.
Learn And Use The A.T.A.G.

After Marek explains to you the basics of how to use it, it is time to go to the practice grounds and get familiar with the A.T.A.G. controls.
Here, all you will have is a little target practice, but feel free to try all the mechanics and the features that the A.T.A.G. has and get familiar with it.

After you finish, exit the A.T.A.G. and then speak once again to Marek. Valgash will come along and ask you how things are going. Just as you are waiting for the A.T.A.G. to be polished, go take a walk for Valgash.
Once it is ready, head back to the A.T.A.G. hangar and pull the lever there; you will find the robot waiting for you to mount it.
Eliminate The Machines Occupying Gorthak

Now your objective here is simple, and you need to liberate Gorthak. This means that you need to destroy all mechanical enemies around it.
This can be done using any means, either with the A.T.A.G., your bow, your swords, whatever you want. The A.T.A.G. is easy because it has infinite ammo and can shoot the flying insects easily.

However, keep in mind that your A.T.A.G. has its own health bar, and once it goes down to zero, it will break.
But do not worry, as there are a couple of hangars around the area that you can go to and get yourself a brand new A.T.A.G.

After you kill the enemies and get the enemy left bar to zero percent, Gorthak will be liberated, and the rest of the enemies will fly away.
Greater Firepower

Head back to Ironworks, and here you need to activate the underground generator, which you can reach by taking the stairs down.
After you reach the generator, there are a few steps that you need to complete.
- First, pull down the lever on the left side.
- Second, kick the cube on the bottom right; this will make a lever drop.
- Finally, you need to pull and hold the lever that dropped down in order to activate the generator.



With the generator activated, you need to head back and speak to Valgash. During the conversation, it seems that the generator attracted them, and you will be attacked by another wave of clockwork insects.
Defend The Generator From Enemy Attacks

Go upstairs and then head toward the A.T.A.G. hangar. Open the door and mount the machine, and prepare to defend. The objective here is simple: you have 180 seconds, and you need to kill all enemies approaching the generator.
Use the primary fire attack to shoot everything down, as it has infinite ammo. After the timer finishes, you need to destroy both of the sky galleons that you see from a distance, but this will require you to use a special weapon.

There is a large caliber gun just down the hill; interact with it to use it and aim toward the sky galleons. Destroy both of them, and you will be done.
When you destroy the second one, you will notice that something falls from it. You need to head over to the crash site and investigate.
It seems there is a special clockwork enemy that is trying to kill the remaining orc there, and you need to destroy it.
Defeat Marni’s Clockwork Mantis

Marni’s Clockwork Mantis is one of the easiest bosses in the game, so do not be fooled by its mechanical appearance.
This machine has a basic melee combo, which you can parry to interrupt the combo or guard; even better, dodge them. Get behind it and land a few heavy attacks to build up stagger.

The other ranged attack is the laser, where it can shoot multiple shots in a row.
For this, there is a brief moment to dodge in between shots, as you do not want to get hit by it since it deals a lot of damage.
Speak To Valgash

After you destroy the clockwork enemy, you need to head back to the IronWorks and speak to Valgash. It seems that Gorthak is doing better now, but Valgash wants to have a discussion with you.
Ride your horse and follow him as he tells you the story behind Marni, the one responsible for all these clockwork machines and how they went berserk.
This will complete the chapter, and now that you are ready, you will be attacking the flying fortress next.
