The Final Battle

After destroying The Flying Fortress Orbian, it seems that this activated a defense mechanism in which it spawned some guns and started attacking the surroundings.
Kliff does not know that yet, but he goes to speak to Stefan as he is waiting for him at the top of the hill. They are impressed about you mounting the dragon, but they noticed the new weapons that spawned and started attacking.

Marshall Middler came back to report that the situation is dire and they need your help in order to put a stop to these weapons and destroy them.
Destroy Every Ultimate Weapon

Thankfully, Kliff can use his new dragon in order to shoot fireballs at these weapons and destroy them, but this will not be the easy task that you think it is.
The three weapons are next to each other, and as soon as they see you flying toward them, they will start shooting at you. Your dragon is not immortal, as it has a health bar that you need to maintain.

If you get killed during the process, you will respawn and need to destroy all three again. If you dismount your dragon and go on foot, you will get a cooldown on the dragon and need to wait for it before you can call it again.
The objective is straightforward: you need to destroy all three, no matter the order, but here are a few things you can keep in mind while doing this objective.

Around these three weapons, you will notice some blimps floating around. You need to make sure you destroy each one of them before even engaging the weapons. This is because they keep spamming homing missiles your way, and that is extra damage you cannot afford.
While technically there is no order in which to destroy all three weapons, we recommend going for the rightmost cannon first, the central second, and the leftmost cannon last.

The idea here is that the rightmost cannon is the most dangerous of all three, as it can shoot multiple fast homing projectiles at you, so removing it first is a good strategy.
Since the weapons are on a hill, you can use the lower base to hide and recharge your stamina, but keep in mind any other homing missiles that might be coming your way.

Constantly keep flying in circles, dodge, and try to avoid as many missiles as you can. It might take a few steps before you complete the objective, mainly because you cannot heal your dragon, but eventually, you will get it.
Liberate Fort Musket

After you deal with all their defensive mechanisms, it is time to go and breach Fort Musket, where Caliburn is hiding. You need to report to Stefan in the camp.
Here you will find everyone gathered, all the forces ready to breach the fort. Stefan will make a motivational speech in order to lift their spirits and prepare them mentally for the battle.

After the cutscene, Kliff will spawn just a short distance from the fort, and he needs to go and meet the Greymanes who are prepared to join the attack. You will find Oongka waiting for your signal.
Eventually, you will hear the signal from the fort, and this is where the Greymanes charge in. Kliff needs to head to the top of the fort and find Caliburn there.
Find Caliburn

Feel free to ignore all the enemies on the path and just climb up the stairs, the wall, or even fly to the top, and you will find Caliburn standing there while Grundir seems to be opening a portal to the Abyss.
Just as Kliff arrives, Caliburn will kill Grundir because he was useless to him. Just as Kliff is about to charge him, Damiane will join and help.

Unfortunately, Caliburn will knock down Damiane, and then he will go through the Abyss gate he opened.
Kliff will ask Oongka and Yann to help Damiane while he tries to pursue Caliburn into the Abyss.

The Void

Caliburn can be found in the Abyss, so fast travel there and make your way to the big door in the middle. As soon as you approach it, a special Abyss gate will open, and you must go through it.
When you go through this gate, you will find Caliburn corrupted, sitting there waiting for your arrival to end things. Kliff is ready for the battle.

Caliburn will be giving his nonsense speech, clearly he has lost his mind, but Kliff is determined to just kill him, not interested in any more words from the man who has been corrupting and causing trouble and chaos throughout Pywel.
Defeat Corrupted Caliburn

This is a tough fight, as Caliburn does a lot of damage and sometimes can even two-tap you if you’re not careful. He has multiple attacks and he moves around the arena and teleports.
Caliburn has three health bars and two faces, and he uses a long sword to fight. Most often, he summons copies of himself that use slash, stab, and thrust attacks with their swords before he finishes the combo himself.

Do not even bother parrying the copies because that will just do nothing. Instead, you want to dodge or create distance and wait for the combo to be done. When it does, Caliburn will have a brief opening that you can use.
He will do some sword slashes himself, and sometimes he floats in the air to shoot you with a bow. Sometimes he disappears and drops explosives on the floor, but those are easy to dodge.

He will often teleport from one place to another and then start his copies’ combo as well. The same strategy works here.
Both the second and third phases work similarly, with the noticeable change being how aggressive he is with his combos and copies. He also adds three more attacks. The first one is where he floats in the air and uses his bow to shoot at you.

The second attack is more dangerous: Caliburn will disappear and start shooting multiple beams from the sky.
You will have a marker on the ground that shows you where each beam will land, so you need to move accordingly.

The third attack involves him summoning a long great sword and smashing the ground in a straight line.
You can simply dodge to either side and avoid it.

That is basically the whole fight. Learn his moveset, you just need to constantly dodge, watch out for your stamina so you won’t run out, and don’t be stingy with heals because you should have at least a hundred plus. Be patient.
Another Twist

After you defeat Caliburn, a being from behind will come and stab him with a sword, but it seems he is not surprised.
It appears that whatever was possessing him took shape and possessed Myurdin as well. What a change of events.

He will disappear and ask you to go through the Abyss Gate that he left open behind him. All you have to do is approach it and interact with it.
Defeat Myurdin, The Avatar Of Umbra

The next boss fight is against Myurdin, but it will not be as easy as the previous time you fought him. It seems that once Myurdin got possessed, he uses a wide variety of attacks that you encountered from previous boss fights.
In addition to that, Myurdin also still uses his Abyss attacks from the fight during Chapter 7, so you will have many more attacks to learn and adapt to.

Myurdin has two health bars, and he hits hard, some attacks even harder than Caliburn because he consumed him. As mentioned before, all of his attacks are from other bosses, in addition to his basic and Lava forms.
Myurdin has a wide range of attacks. He can send crows flying straight toward you or summon a hammer and leap to smash it into the ground.

He can teleport around the arena to close the distance or create space, swing his sword to release a shockwave along the ground, or jump while summoning a lightning spear to hurl at you.

On top of that, he can call forth a long greatsword and execute a powerful two-slash combo.
Second Phase

During his second phase, he becomes more aggressive and deals more damage. He uses his attack moves more frequently and even adds new ones.
He will summon two halberds at the same time and smash them into the ground multiple times. After that, he brings them together in a final strike, causing a massive explosion.

He can summon one Fortain phantom to hit the ground where he is standing. Then he summons four other phantoms behind him, shooting arrows where the ground was hit.

The most dangerous attack is when Myurdin floats and starts sending red lasers from the sky. You can easily dodge them, or you can use Nature’s Snare to deflect them.

This boss fight is a genuine patience test. You need to dodge carefully, guard, and heal as often as you can; do not be stingy with it.
If you get through the first phase, feel free to spam Palmar Pills to revive yourself. If you die here, you will have to repeat both the Caliburn and Myurdin boss fights, so tread carefully.

After you defeat Myurdin, he will dissolve and create a black hole in the sky, sending its energy into it. This will release the true form of the Umbra, and you need to defeat it.
Defeat Umbra

After two formidable boss fights, do not worry: the fight against Umbra is really easy and forgiving.
You will be riding your dragon during the fight. This one-eyed winged figure has only two attacks: shooting platforms at you and firing lasers, and all you have to do is dodge them.

All you have to do is shoot fireballs at the boss, which will build up the stagger (yellow) meter.
Once it is full, Kliff will jump. You need to glide to the center of the Umbra, the eye, and hit it with Force Palm. This will take a huge chunk of its health.

Repeat this process two or three times, and you will defeat it quickly. Do not worry about dying because if you do, you will return to this boss fight. Whatever health you already took will save the progress.
The End

Defeating Umbra will trigger the final cutscene, where Kliff charges his Force Palm and focuses the attack on its eye center. This will cause the being to shatter, but it will also cause Kliff to fall into a deep Abyss.
As Kliff falls from nowhere, you will notice his facial features grow old, his hair turns grey, and he appears to be in a deep slumber he cannot wake from.

Just when you think he is done, a mysterious hand will come and pull Kliff back to the real world.
It seems that this hand might be Oongka; we are not sure, but the next scene seems to confirm it.

The dragon will fly to you and pick both of you up as it takes you back to Pailume, where Kliff will take his very much-needed rest. This is the game ending, but there is a short epilogue journey that you need to experience afterward.
