Crisol: Theater of Idols is a survival-horror experience where your blood is your ammunition. Playing as a soldier named Gabriel, you are on a journey to fulfill a divine mission from the Sun God on the mysterious and lethal island of Tormentosa.

After completing the first two chapters, you are almost done with more than half the game. There are only two more chapters left in Crisol: Theater of Idols, with The Sea of Scarlet Thorns as your Chapter Three, and The Twilight of the Gods as your final chapter. This walkthrough will guide you through the main objectives of both of these chapters.

Chapter Three: The Sea of Scarlet Thorns

Chapter 3 starts by entering the Anchor District in Crisol: Theater of Idols, which can be found on the bottom left of the map in the hub area. From the merchant’s location, head straight ahead, then take the first left and climb the set of stairs on your right.
You will arrive at the entrance without much trouble, and speaking with the Solari standing outside will allow you to unlock it. Just a quick reminder – purchase any upgrades that you need from the merchant before heading out.
Meeting Padre Arroyo

The Sea of Scarlet Thorns begins by introducing a new method of traveling – a boat. This boat can be taken straight to Padre Arroyo’s location, and there is only one straight path that cannot be missed.

Just keep following the river’s flow and park your boat at the first port that you come across. Get back on land and stick to the road ahead, and you’ll eventually enter the room where Arroyo’s waiting.
Obtaining The Small Ship’s Wheel

After the cutscene with Padre Arroyo ends, exit the area by using the door located on the right side of the room. You will arrive at your next destination, which also houses the map for this chapter. Once you grab the map, it is time to ride the boat again.

Take the rightmost stairs down towards the boat from your current location. Again, you can stick to the straight path until the river divides into two. At that point, take the left exit, and you will arrive at the next port.

You will eventually enter a mansion filled with a lot of enemies. Use the stairs to head up whilst simultaneously clearing your path. The road becomes obstructed by a shelf at the end.

You will need to move this shelf aside to proceed further. Next, take the stairs down and exit the building to arrive at the location of the Small Ship’s Wheel.
Locating The Save Room

Once you have the wheel, head right until you arrive at a bridge that can be lowered. Use the Small Ship’s Wheel here to unlock the path to the save room.

You will end up back at the location where you picked up the map for this chapter. Here, another bridge can be lowered by using the same wheel.

After lowering the bridge, follow the path ahead in a straight line to the save room. You will also find the merchant here to purchase any upgrades during the chapter.
Finding Admiral Castigo

Locating Castigo is your next main objective in the Sea of Scarlet Thorns. From the merchant’s location, take the exit to the right and use the elevator at the end to ascend.

You will enter the Tower of Judgement, where Castigo is locked away. Take another lift at the end of the path to ascend even further in the tower. It is going to take a lot of exploration and puzzle-solving to reach Castigo in this chapter.

Exit the elevator and take the path on your right to head towards your first puzzle. Here, a new enemy type is revealed, which fires flames if it spots you. Take care of all hostiles here to reach the first puzzle in the tower.
The First Sun Board Puzzle

You must deactivate the moving heads by isolating them from the sun. Once you arrange them into the position shown in the image above, your path forward will unlock.
- Firstly, rotate the selector and move it left.
- Select the left-most head next and move it right.
- Do the same with the head on the right and turn it left.
- Then rotate the selector once more to make it horizontal.
- Now, you just have to move the layers.
- Move the first layer to the top and the third layer to the bottom.
Exploring The Tower of Judgment

It is going to take a while before you reach the next puzzle. Take the path that has unlocked and follow it straight ahead.

Next, use the stairs to descend and travel across the small opening to move to the other side. Beware of the statue that shoots fire as it is waiting for your exit. You can shoot while staying crouched in this section.

Another shelf will block your path – move it out of the way and stick to the left side to enter the next section of the Tower of Judgement.

This next section is like a small area that is easy to traverse. There really is only one path that will take you to the next puzzle section. However, tread carefully because this section is filled to the brim with enemies.
The Second Sun Board Puzzle

This second puzzle is a little more difficult than the first one, but follow these steps to quickly solve it.
- Move the third layer to the bottom.
- Next, move the anchor sign one layer below.
- Now rotate the selector and move the anchor sign one layer left.
- Rotate the selector again and drag the top layer to just above the anchor sign.
- Bring the selector back to the vertical position.
- Switch the location of the first and fourth layers.
- Finally, swap the location of the fourth and the final layers.

Keep following the newly unlocked path, and you’ll be introduced to a new enemy type. This enemy can become invisible, so you’ll have to watch for its footsteps on the ground. After dealing with it, rotate the iron lever to unlock your path ahead.

Follow this newly unlocked road until you arrive at another narrow passage. Slide through this tight space, and take a left at the end to reach the final puzzle section in this area.
The Third Sun Board Puzzle

This is the final board puzzle where you’ll have to isolate the moving heads. Again, you will need to follow these steps in order to get it done as fast as possible.
- Keep the selector in the horizontal position.
- Swap the location of the first and second layers.
- Next, switch the location of the first layer with the fourth layer.
- Now, rotate the selector into the vertical position.
- Swap the first layer with the second layer on the left.
- Switch the positions of the fourth and final layers as well.
- Bring the selector back to the horizontal position.
- Finally, swap the locations of the fourth and the final layers.
Getting The Lever of The Sun

After solving the final Sun Board puzzle, the chamber holding Castigo will unlock. Absorb his remains to get your hands on the Lever of the Sun. Now, follow the newly unlocked path to enter a boss fight.
Petreo Boss Fight

Petreo makes a return in this chapter as well, but not as an official boss fight. Its moveset is still the same and can be easily dodged by running around. The arena also contains exploding barrels, which can be used to your advantage in the fight.
Obtaining The Octopus Valve

After defeating Petreo, use the rotatable iron lever to lift the gate. Keep following the path ahead and use the ladder at the end to descend to the location of the Octopus Valve.

Use this newly obtained valve to unlock the door right behind you. Stick to the road ahead, jump down at the end, and take a left to arrive back at the save room.

It is time to take the left exit from the save room and use the Octopus Valve to unlock the door in your path. Ride the elevator at the end to descend to your next location in The Sea of the Scarlet Thorns.
Finding The Golden Statue

After using the elevator, you will eventually find yourself right next to a boat. Ride that boat straight across the river to your first meeting with the Golden Statue. Try to absorb the statue, and it will move down before you finish.

Locating this Golden Statue is the next main objective in this chapter. A new path will unlock on the right side of the room. There is an elevator at the end, which can be used to descend further below.

An ambush will be waiting for you down here. There are a lot of enemies here, so be prepared for a long battle. After dealing with the ambush, use the door at the end of the path to reach the location of the first puzzle in this section.
The First Scales Puzzle

This puzzle consists of several discs and a scale. You need to balance the right and the left halves of the scales with equal weight to solve the puzzle. The white discs add one unit, and the purple discs add two units to the total weight, respectively.
- Just move two white discs and one purple disc to the left.
- Keep two purple discs in the center of the scale.
- Move two purple discs to the left side to solve the puzzle.

After solving the puzzle, take the newly unlocked exit and use the iron lever at the end to unlock the path forward in your journey. From here, take the left at the end, followed by a right, and then head straight ahead.

Take another right at the end, followed by a left. Finally, take the next right, head straight, and take a last left to reach another iron lever. Rotate the lever to unlock the gate in front of you. You will need to retrace your steps, and you will arrive at the newly opened gate.
Unlocking the Submachine Gun

Keep following the road on the other side of the gate, and you will come across a row of cages. There is a Submachine Gun waiting for you in the second-to-last cage on your left.

Exit the cage after picking up the weapon and take a left to arrive at a bridge. Lower this bridge by using the Small Ship’s Wheel to proceed forward.

This will unlock another straight path; you will just need to take a left at the end. Move down the rubble to reach the location of the next puzzle in this area.
The Second Scales Puzzle

This next puzzle also has gray discs along with the others, and the scale must be balanced once more.
- Keep one gray and one purple disc at both the left and the center of the scale.
- Move the rest of the scales to the right side to solve the puzzle.

Jump down at the end of the new path that unlocks after solving the puzzle. You will arrive at another narrow passage that you will have to crawl through to reach the other side.

The next area will require some more jumps and crouches, and you will reach an iron lever that must be rotated to lift the gate.

This next section consists of two levers and a bunch of enemies. Rotate the lever on the right side of the room first and quickly make your way to the other side because the gate shuts down after some time. Then, rotate the lever on the left side of the room. Quickly turn back, head up the stairs, and jump down the path at the end. Finally, make for the newly opened gate on the right side.

You can even run from the enemies here to the other side. After taking the exit, make two rights, and you will reach a set of ladders. Climb these ladders to reach the final puzzle section.
The Third Scales Puzzle

There are four scales that you will need to balance in this puzzle. Additionally, there are four colors of discs – purple, white, gray, and green.
- Move one grey and one green disc to the left-most side.
- Then place one green, one white, and two purple discs on the second scale.
- Place the same number and color of discs on the third scale.
- Lastly, place one grey, one white, and one purple disc on the right-most scale.

Enter the next section. You’ll find another ambush here, so make sure your guns are reloaded. After dealing with the enemies, use the stairs to head up and take a left to make another exit.

Take another left at the end of this path, and you will have to face off another horde of enemies. Take care of the enemies and keep ascending through this area to reach the location of your next lever.
Getting The Lever of The Sea

You will finally arrive at the Golden Statue’s location. Absorb the remains inside the statue to get your hands on the Lever of the Sea.

After picking up the lever, exit through the right side of the room and reach the boat at the end. Use the boat to travel to the elevator, which will take you back to the save room.
The Drainage Puzzle

With both the levers in your possession, you can finally drain the tomb of Dolores. From the save room, take a turn back and keep heading straight.

You will arrive at the location where you need to place the two levers. This will begin another puzzle that you will need to solve in order to drain the tomb.

- Rotate the right mirror in the upward direction two times.
- Next, rotate the left mirror upward once.
- Now, rotate the right mirror upward only once.
- Get back to the left mirror and rotate it downward one time.
- Next, rotate the right mirror upward twice.
- Now, rotate the left mirror downward once.
- Do the same with the mirror on the right.
- Finally, move the mirror on the left upward once to solve the puzzle.

This will drain the tomb, and you can use the newly unlocked ladder to descend further down.
Obtaining The Arroyo Dagger

After descending down, keep following the straight path ahead. You will arrive near Arroyo’s remains, which you can absorb to obtain Arroyo’s Dagger. This will complete the list of hunts that you need to perform the ritual at the Cathedral.
Dolores Boss Fight

Absorbing Arroyo’s Dagger will start the boss fight with Dolores in the same arena. Dolores will now have a weak point in her heart, which you can shoot to deal damage.

Additionally, she will continuously throw her anchor at you throughout the fight. Make sure to get her to throw this anchor on the green walls in the arena.

This will make the anchor get stuck, and you will be able to absorb it. Keep repeating this process to finish off Dolores.
Getting The Harpoon Launcher

After defeating Dolores, keep heading straight and exit through the arena. There will be an elevator at the end, which will take you upward, concluding the third chapter of the story.
Final Chapter: The Twilight of The Gods

The next chapter starts with the Harpoon Launcher waiting right in front of you.
After picking up the Harpoon Launcher, take the exit right in front of you to officially begin the final chapter in Crisol: Theater of Idols, titled The Twilight of the Gods. In this chapter, you will have access to infinite ammunition, so make sure to spam the launcher.

Keep using all of your weapons without having to worry about reloading. Additionally, make sure to progress forward as well, since you need to make your way back to The Fair.
Locating Medioda

As soon as you arrive back at The Fair, your first objective will be to find Mediodía. Jump down from this location, and you’ll arrive back at the merchant’s location. Grab any upgrades that you want before you head towards the final battle.

From the merchant, head straight ahead and climb the set of stairs on your right. Take a left at the top, and you will arrive at the location of Mediodía’s hat. Interacting with the hat will trigger a cutscene, and you can progress once it ends.
Entering The Cathedral

After interacting with Mediodía’s hat, move straight ahead and use the elevator at the end to ascend to the entrance of the Cathedral. Make sure to pick up the health syringes near the entrance.

Once inside, interact with the statue in front of you, and a series of cutscenes will start playing. After the cutscenes end, the final battle with Ulises will begin.
Ulises Boss Fight

Ulises becomes fused with Dolores, and you will need to take on the resulting gigantic boss. There are multiple weak points on the body that can be best hit by using the Harpoon Launcher. Once these weak points disappear, you will need to absorb Ulises to deal more damage.
This cycle must be repeated two more times to finish the boss fight. In the second phase, the boss spawns in two tentacles, but its moveset is pretty limited, and the attacks can be strafed easily. After the battle, a series of cutscenes will play, followed by the end credits.
This concludes The Final Chapter: The Twilight of the Gods and also ends the main story of Crisol: Theater of Idols.
