Crow Country Walkthrough – Part 5

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Crow Country.

In Part 5, we explore the basement and get the charged Large Battery.

After picking up the Gold Key head back towards Crow’s office. There is an elevator next to the office – the North East elevator. Take it down.

Go to the right from the elevator and hop on the cart that leads to the North West. Once you reach that path, enter the Break Room. Pick up the Handgun Ammo, Shotgun shells and Med Kit. Check the notice board for a code to the break room security gate.

Hit the switch at the end of the room, to allow Root Access. You will be ambushed by a monster from inside the pool table. Dispatch of it and check the floor for an old license plate for the actual code to exit the room.

Enter the code 2663 to exit the break room. Keep heading to the right, killing monsters as you come across them. Enter the room marked Root Fri.

Read the Red Notebook on the floor. Fill up the Acid bottle in your inventory from the dripping acid faucet. Check both levers to see how root extraction works and exit the room. Pick up the box of ammo and head through the pipe to the South West. Once there, enter the room marked Root Thu.

Inside, you will find Harrison. Talk to him, remember to exhaust all dialogue. Enter the data disc on the computer on the side. Set the pressure gauges of the different gases to add up to 50 and you can then use the lever on the other side. CO to 5, SO2 to 10, NO2 to 15 and COCl2 to 20 should do it. Now, turn off the gas vent. Talk to Harrison again and exit the room. Keep moving to the right and past the South West elevator. Enter the Root Wed room.

Pick up the ammo for handgun and shotgun from the table. Use the levers to extract another root. Pick up the map from the shelf. Exit the room. Take the cart to the South East part of the mine. Enter the room marked Root Tue.

Use the lever to extract another root. There is a set up here to electrify something, we don’t have the right item. Exit the room. Keep going past the South East elevator. Enter the room marked Root Mon. Inside you will find both Marv and Tolman. Speak to them. After learning the secret of the Roots, excavate some more root here using the levers. After which, exit the room. Go through the pipe at the end to the North East area. Enter the room marked Root Sun next.

Pick up the map for the Central area. Shoot the generator on the table and exit the room. Keep going past the North East elevator and into the room marked Root Sat.

Once again, use the levers to excavate more root and exit the room. Get on the cart to go back to the North West area. Keep going till you reach the South West area again, then take the elevator up. Once you get up there, you will find a shipping container with Julie inside. On the wall is the list of key items needed, if you have been following this walkthrough – you are only missing the Large Battery.

Keep moving and enter the room on the left.

Inside, pick up the shotgun shells, watch the crane and then leave. Next enter the vault on the other side.

On the other side, enter the Control Room with the Gold Key. Inside the control room, answer the phone on the wall. Next, you will see a Boat Ride control panel that you need someone else to operate. Go back and get Julie to operate the panel. Go back to the entrance to The Seven Seas and enter the room.

Go around the lanes and enter the boat. Ask Julie to see you off and enter the next area. Your progress will be halted by a white whale. Get out of the boat and you will see two treasure chests on either side, the right side (Chest 2) chest selects the order of sunken mermaids and the left side (Chest 1) brings them closer or farther to the shore. So the order is –

Chest 1 – First switch green > Chest 2 – First Switch green > Pink Haired Mermaid > Fried battery inside.

Chest 1 – Second switch green > Chest 2 – Second Switch green > Blue Haired Mermaid > Shotgun Shells inside.

Chest 1 – Third switch green > Chest 2 – Third Switch green > Purple Haired Mermaid > Large Battery inside.

The last mermaid has nothing so leave it. On the right side of the boat at the end is a switch, activate it to open the door on the other side back to the control panel. You will see Julie’s gone, the vent is open and there’s blood all over the place. Leave the area back to the central lobby and enter the restroom. Go to the second stall and use the Acid bottle on the bones here to melt the bones and pick up Magnum ammo.

Go to the Haunted Hilltop now and head to the right to the South East Elevator and head down.

Run through the electric traps and enter the Root Tuesday room. Here you can charge the battery.

Leave the area and into the North East zone of the mine and head to the North East Elevator and go up.

You will be outside of Crow’s office now. Enter the office using the Golden key.
