Crown Of Greed – Walkthrough Part 2

Crown Of Greed Walkthrough

Crown of Greed is a city-builder where you have to complete different scenarios, with each one having unique objectives. These scenarios test your skills as you command your heroes and build your defenses against the threats on the land to come out victorious.

For more information on the game, please visit its official Steam page here.

Part 2 of the walkthrough will cover a total of four scenarios that become available after you’ve completed the first three scenarios. Three of these scenarios become available immediately, while the Stone Gaze scenario only unlocks after you’ve completed the Lost in the Fog scenario.

Infernal Pact

Infernal Pact is a scenario where you have to defeat a great evil that has surfaced. After the scenario begins, you’ll have to upgrade your castle to tier 2 and wait for the news from the scouts.

You can also recruit your own heroes and have them explore around the map to find the source of evil, but it’s better to focus your resources on setting up a fortified base and recruiting more heroes.

Fishermen’s Problem

There’s a small fishermen’s village towards the southwest of the castle. You’ll find this castle troubled by the undead warriors.

Here, you have to destroy the cursed tower inside the village. Once you’ve destroyed the cursed tower, you’ll have to set up a trading post inside the fishermen’s village.

Cover Of The Night

On the 6th day, you’ll receive the news from the scout regarding the source of evil in the area. There’s a devil’s cave towards the eastern edge of the map, and your primary goal is to destroy that cave.

By now, your heroes will be ready and roaming around the map to discover new locations for you, and you should also be exploring the nearby areas.

You’ll come across these strange towers called Obsidian Apex. These towers strengthen the undead, and you’ll have to destroy all three of them to weaken the undead in the region.

However, you can only deal damage to the tower during the day, so you’ll have to plan your skirmishes accordingly. If you place a contract on these towers, your heroes will automatically only attack it during the daytime, when the Obsidian Apex are vulnerable.

You can find one of the Obsidian Apex towards the northeast of the castle. The second Obsidian Apex is towards the east. The third and final Obsidian Apex is towards the south.

Treacherous Swamps

Towards the northwest of your castle, you’ll find some ruins near a bandit camp. When you discover the ruins, you’ll get a message from the bandits, asking you to destroy the ruins so they can collect the treasure, promising to share some with you.

However, if your heroes approach the ruins, one of the undead named Grimloth will say that the ruin is full of peaceful spirits, and it’s the bandits who have been trying to scavenge the ruins.

Grimloth asks you to get rid of the bandit camp nearby, offering you power that will strengthen your heroes. Now, you have a choice. You can either destroy the ruins or the bandits’ camp.

I picked the option to destroy the bandits’ camp, and Grimloth gave all of the heroes a buff that made the upcoming battles a lot easier in this scenario.

Fighting The Devil

Once you’ve taken care of all the optional stuff, you can head to the devil’s cave to the east. You should have at least 30 heroes by now, and you’ll need at least 20 to comfortably destroy the cave and all the enemies near it.

Immediately after you destroy the cave, your advisor will give you the news that a massive army is approaching you. By the time your heroes return from the devil’s cave, you’ll be getting attacked from three sides.

Now, you have to kill the leader of the devils. Its name is the Ravager, and you’ll find it as part of the army that’s attacking the south of the castle.

Create an attack contract on the Ravager and defeat it. This will end the scenario.

Lost In The Fog

Lost in the Fog starts with one primary quest where you have to clear all the villages of monsters. But more main quests are added once you’re done with that.

At first, you’ll have to start building your base. This scenario features difficult terrain, so you’ll have to place your structures carefully and at some distance from one and the other.

There’s a village southwest of the castle. You’ll have to clear it, and it can be done shortly after you’ve recruited some heroes because there aren’t many enemies here, and the village is super close.

You’ll also have to destroy the spider nests in the region. Your heroes may come across these spider nests when they’re travelling. Destroying these spider nests will add more guards to your city.

There’s another village to the south of the castle, and you can find the third village towards the northeast. There’s one more village by the river, to the southeast of the castle. When you get there, this will start the Fishermen’s Nightmare quest.

One village is straight up to the east of the castle, but you’ll have to cross the river to reach it. The final village is at the south of the map.

Fishermen’s Nightmare

After you’ve discovered the village by the river, your advisor will tell you that the scouts have reported spotting an unusual monster nearby, and the fishermen have been complaining about this monster as well.

Now, you’ll have to wait till this monster called Fishermen Eater shows up the next time. Keep exploring the map, and you’ll shortly hear the report about the Fishermen Eater making an appearance.

The Fishermen Eater surfaces near the bridge, a little to the southeast of the map’s centre. It is a strong enemy, and you’ll need around 6 to 7 heroes to bring it down comfortably.

Foul Harvest

During exploration, your heroes might discover a strange fog covering the southwest part of the map. Once you’ve freed all the villages, you’ll have to wait a while to discover what lurks in the fog.

Shortly after, some vampires will emerge from the fog. You’ll have to defeat it, especially the Blood Feeder vampire lord. Once you’ve defeated these vampires, the fog will dissipate, and you’ll be able to head to the area.

Send an exploration contract here, and you’ll find a Bloody Barrows. Make sure you have at least 20 good heroes and send them all to attack the Bloody Barrows.

Defeat the nearby vampires and destroy the barrows. After you destroy the barrows, the vampire lord will emerge again from there, and you’ll have to defeat it one last time.

Once the vampire lord is defeated, the scenario will be completed, and the Stone Gaze scenario will be unlocked on the scenario selection screen.

Stone Gaze

In Stone Gaze, you’ll start with a necromancy circle near your castle. A Priestess of the Night will tell you that there are more circles in the area, and you’ll need to find and clear the nearby enemies to bring them back to the Priestess of the Night’s influence.

This will add some undead allies to your forces. Furthermore, the basilisks have been wreaking havoc in the area. There are several basilisk lairs that you’ll have to find and destroy.

Circles Of Power

The second circle of power is located far to the east. It is guarded by an undead called Grimloth, and you’ll have to defeat him and the rest of the undead nearby to free the circle.

The third circle of power is located to the north of the area. It is guarded by an undead mage called Zareth. Both of these circles of power should be approached after you’ve built considerable forces.

Your heroes will eventually discover these circles by themselves as you keep exploring and destroying the nearby enemy lairs.

Twelve Brothers

You’ll find a cursed tower towards the west of the map. It is guarded by several spectral enemies. These enemies respawn every day unless you destroy the tower.

Make sure you’ve got at least 20 heroes to send to this area to come out victorious with ease. Once you destroy the tower and defeat all the spectral enemies, the optional quest will be completed.

Ruins Of The Old Town

There are basilisk lairs in each corner of the map, so you’ll have to explore the map completely. These lairs have only one or two basilisks near them, so you won’t have to use that many heroes.

Once you’ve destroyed all of the basilisk layers, your advisor will tell you that the leader of the basilisks is about to attack anytime soon.

The colossal basilisk will attack you with some normal basilisks from the northwest edge of the map and will make its way towards the castle.

You’ll need at least 30 heroes under your command to comfortably defeat the basilisks and their colossal king. Once the basilisk king has fallen, this will complete the scenario.

Burning Grove

In Burning Grove, the dryads are asking for your help to defend their sacred tree. The sacred tree is located to the east of the map and is guarded by friendly beasts.

Your goal in this scenario is to hold out against the enemy forces and protect your castle and the sacred tree.

Cleaning Up The Swamps

Your heroes might stumble upon the swamp if they travel to the northwest of the castle. The swamp is full of many enemy lairs and habitats.

Once you’ve cleared all the habitats in the upper half of the map, the Cleaning up the Swamps optional quest will be completed. The dryad will reward you with 4000 gold for completing it.

Grandma’s Baked Goods

There’s a witch’s shack to the west of the map. You’ll find some werewolves caged outside the shack. The dryad asks you to destroy the shack and free the werewolves so they can help protect the sacred tree.

As soon as you destroy the shack, the werewolves will be freed. However, Grandma’s Granddaughter will come to attack the werewolves.

It is the Little Red Riding Hood. Once you’ve defeated the witch, the werewolves will be truly free and will join the forces to guard the sacred tree.

Forest Fortification

There are two dryad altars around the map that have been surrounded by enemies. You’ll have to find these altars and defeat the enemies around them.

Once you do so, you’ll be able to use the altars to recruit some dryads. One of the altars is towards the east, near the sacred tree.

You can also find the other altar just north of the castle. Use them to recruit more dryads in your forces.

Corrupted Grove

The sacred tree will keep getting attacked periodically. However, your advisor or the dryad will warn you before every attack, so you can send some forces to the sacred tree to help defend it.

You can just place a defense contract on the sacred tree, and some of your heroes will stay near it to guard it. The defense contracts empty out eventually, but you can keep adding more gold to it to keep the heroes near the tree.

On Day 20, your advisor will tell you that three powerful armies are about to attack the castle and the sacred tree from the swamps.

If you’ve already cleared the swamps of all the enemy lairs and habitats, then you won’t have to worry too much about this army. Your heroes will take care of it. Don’t forget to send a few heroes to guard the sacred tree in case things take a turn for the worse.
